Great Night, Rough Day
Well what do ya know. The last two people you would expect even getting along are together without a care in the world. But that doesn't mean this is a happy ending, no. There are so many things that both of them are hiding from each other. So much past that they buried away and waiting to be found, so much future they are yet to discover...
Morning, Angel Dusts room
Hickeys were all over Husks neck and inner thighs as he woke up to an empty bed. He found a note on the nightstand that read...
"Morning, Husky~ By the time you wake up I'll be at work. I have to make up for something I did a few days ago, so I'm working a double shift. Won't be back til' a little later tonight. I cleaned up most of the mess from last night, and I would recommend wearing clothes today. I did a number on your body~ Love, Angel Dust ♥"
The text was followed by a little kiss mark in the corner. Husk smiled and folded the note up. He saw that his clothes from the night before that were nicely folded up. He picked them up and ran out the door so nobody would see him in the condition that he was in.
Half way down the hall, Husk was unexpectedly tripped by Alastor's foot, causing Husk to slide and plant into the ground. Husk knew Alastor for a very long time, so he knew a side of him that he didn't show. A cruel, harmful, and just plain mean. Not giving his showman like act every second. "What do you think your doing, Husk?" Alastor said with malice. "Agh, fuck! Why the hell do you care?" "You know I don't care about you, I just would like to know." "I'm going to my room, dipshit." Husk said angrily and got up. Alastor yanked him back by the wing and laughed at him. Husk yelped and watched him begin to walk away.
"Yet the the little kitty still doesn't have the balls to fight back for himself. How sad." Alastor said so Husk could hear. He took a deep breath and tried to control his anger. All the sudden, the sound of little trotting foot prints could he heard as well as little snorts could be heard. It was Angels pet pig, Fat Nuggets. Husk remembered the pig from somewhere, maybe Voxtagram, but he couldn't quite tell where he had previously saw him. Alastor turned around, hearing the pig and smelling his flesh as well. Once Alastor spotted the pig, he headed toward it.
Husk already knew this wasn't good, considering he knew exactly how important this pig was to Angel. He ran to the pig and scooped him up before Alastor could even get close to him. "Nope." He said as he cradled the pig in his arms. "Well played, trash cat." Alastor simply said and walked away shamefully. Husk sighed and smirked to himself. "You're fucking welcome." Husk said to the pig. Fat Nuggets snorted and licked his nose. "I hate how fuckin cute you are..." Husk couldn't possibly get mad at the cutie. "How'd you get outta' there, anyway?" He asked him.
Husk put the pig back in his crate and gave him an undeserved treat. He sighed as he walked back down the hall and to his room. He figured nobody would really notice the purple and red marks on his neck, so he only bothered wearing pants and suspenders, as well as his normal bow tie and hat. He went to the bar trying to keep himself from smiling.
Niffty ran over and gave him a hug. "You guys are like- officially together?!" She asked as she let go. "Uh- yeah, I think so. I mean, it's only been like a day, so..." Husk scratched the back of his head and shrugged. "Gah, I'm so happy for you!" "Thanks, kid. You're one helluva wing woman." "Won't be the last time I help you out. I'm gonna make sure you both looooooove each other so much~" she teased, her one eye fluttering happily. Husk rolled his eyes and smirked. "Whatever. I dunno what yer up to, but I'm in." He said. "Now go back to work before Vaggie yells at you. I'll make you a smoothie when you're on break." Husk said. "Thanks, Husk!" "No problem, kiddo." He rested his head in his hand and started pre-making drinks.
The day was rather busy with people checking in, but clearly not for redemption. Just to get drunk, have sex, and leave the next morning only to leave a bad review on the hotel. Plus, it's very common for people to be total assholes with no sense of their peers, or anyone for that matter, so people were just straight up yelling at Husk to get them a drink and harassing him for the drinks being overpriced, even though they weren't at all, and he wasn't the one who priced them. Luckily, despite how angry Husk usually was, he was very patient. He took all the shit people were giving him, but it worn him out. The only drink he was happy to make that day was Niffty's smoothie.
Around the time that business slowed down, Husks other four coworkers came to get a drink as usual. Husk didn't charge them, since they worked hard too. Charlie ordered a chocolate milkshake, Vaggie ordered a blueberry cocktail, Alastor ordered a small glass of Absinthe, and Niffty ordered a small glass of iced peach schnapps. "God, I hate people." Niffty sighed and actually looked tired for once. "You said it, sister." Vaggie mumbled. "I mean, it's good that we have sinners checking in, but people don't really get the cause..." Charlie sulked as her head hung down. Vaggie rubbed her back trying to comfort her. "I almost killed someone! Haha!" Alastor laughed, a staticky white noise beginning to surround him. "That isn't a joke." Alastor then mumbled. The buzz stopped after a few seconds. Everyone was used to Alastor's sinister mood swings at this point.
"So, are you gonna address the elephant in the room, or just keep quiet?" Vaggie smirked at Husk, Alastor and Charlie looking a little confused. Niffty just giggled to herself. "Right... I dunno how much he'd be ok with me saying so I'll keep this short, but uh... Angel and I are sorta... dating." Husk said with a small smile. Charlie gasped and Alastor raised his eyebrows. "Oh. My. GOSH! You guys are together?!" Charlie said, the room seemingly got more colorful. "Well, I dunno about together. We think we are together but I have no idea how this is all gonna play off, and neither does he. So I'm gonna stick to 'just dating' for now." Husk shrugged and took a quick drink of his booze. "Awwwww! You guys are so cute together!" Charlie cheered once again. "Not together!" "Right, dating, dating."
Alastor did feel quite happy for Husk, although being positive wasn't really his thing. In the previous moments, he was trying to think of something to embarrass Husk, then he noticed the small hickeys on his neck. "Well, that sure explains the hickeys all over your neck, hm?" Al said as if nothing was wrong with that. Husks face turned bright red. Everyone laughed and he facepalmed. "Well I'd rather show that I'm loved than wear a scarf." "Fair enough." Alastor was disappointed that he couldn't really go further with the insults.
The rest of the day passed by pretty quickly, not too rough but not that easy either. Husk was eager for Angel's return. He was worried after the clock struck 10:00. Usually whenever he worked a double shift he would be back at around 9:30, so he figured maybe he was running late.
10:30...
11:00...
11:30...
BONG!
...Midnight.
Still, not a sign from Angel.
