Mutual Fondness

Yeonjun was awakened by the sound of the door opening. Rin didn't come in alone. The underlings undid his restraints and hauled him out the room. Where was he being taken at a time like this, especially without breakfast? An underling pushed open the door then sat him on a chair. He was soon left alone with Rin. It took a moment for it to register in his mind. He was going to be given a bath.

It wasn't often he got to bathe and he himself could hardly stand his own terrible hygiene. He was surprised to be given another so soon. He quietly watched as Rin checked the temperature before putting in a stopper.

"Strip." said Rin as he dried his hand off.

"S- S- Strip? But... you... looking at me..." said Yeonjun as he shifted in the seat.

"Don't tell me you're getting embarrassed over this. Fine, I'll turn around." fussed Rin before turning around. "And if you're so worried, get in the tub after you're done."

Yeonjun quietly slipped his clothes off and wished his body wasn't burning so hot. He stepped into the tub then hid his lower body from sight. Rin shook his head as he left the room.

"I shouldn't have such thoughts..." thought Yeonjun as steamy images flashed in his mind.

Rin reentered the room with a loofa and body wash. Yeonjun quietly eyed him as he pulled the seat over.

"You're going to wash me?" Yeonjun asked curiously.

"If you're so opposed to it, then wash yourself." Rin responded as he dropped the items in the tub then turned off the water.

"I wasn't complaining! It's just... why would you? You could be reading Neurosis or helping others out." Yeonjun said as he handed Rin the wet loofa and body wash bottle.

"Maybe we should wash your hair too..." muttered Rin as he ran a hand through his hair.

Yeonjun loosened up as Rin started to scrub at his body. He quickly closed his legs as it had became visible. He glanced at Rin who didn't seem to notice.

"Rin, what are we doing after this?" he asked as Rin scrubbed at his neck.

"Training. We'll be working on your mental toughness for a while." Rin replied as Yeonjun dipped into the water.

After a while, Rin pulled out the stopper. He left Yeonjun a towel then turned his back to let him dry off and put on fresh clothes. Yeonjun momentarily stopped drying and surprised Rin with a back hug.

"Hey, stop that." Rin fussed despite not exactly hating the action.

"Thank you..." Yeonjun muttered as he held him a bit tighter before letting go. "Can you help me dry my back?"

Rin rolled his eyes then had him turn around. They walked towards the clothes as Rin stopped drying.

"Hurry and get dressed. Kang is waiting on us." Rin fussed.

Yeonjun let him put on his shirt as he slipped on his pants. They quietly left the room to hurry and catch up with Kang.

"A minute late? That's not like you, Rin." whined Kang as he was stuck with a moody Soobin. "Oh? Yeonjun smells like fruit. Was today-"

"We're wasting time. Pull out the puzzles." Rin snapped as he searched for the next puzzle.

Kang sighed then dropped a jigsaw puzzle in front of them.

"You're not allowed to help each other. We'll be watching." said Kang as they started trying to piece things together.

Yeonjun looked up at Rin then back at the puzzle. He needed to impress him. Kang looked at Yeonjun who would often glance at the oblivious Rin. He rolled his eyes then slowly started to walk around.

"Hey! Eyes on your work. I'll make sure you receive punishment if you look up one more time." scolded Kang before walking away.

Yeonjun bit his lip as he kept his head lowered. He was thinking too much. He was the one with the attachment, not Rin. Rin wasn't going to back him up or anything. All he really agreed to was being open. He rubbed his eyes as he silently worked on the puzzle. He had to remember his place.

Soobin glanced at Yeonjun who seemed upset about something. He looked away as Kang had turned around. He wanted to offer him comfort, but he couldn't do much at the moment. He could never be by his side when he needed someone most.

"Time's up! Let's see how far you've gotten." said Rin, finally tearing his eyes away from the tablet.

They both checked over their jigsaws then talked amongst themselves.

"You both did pretty well for your first go, especially you, Soobin. Yeonjun... keep working. Focus more." said Kang as Rin nodded. "I'm sure you can get an understanding of what the full picture would look like based off of your puzzles."

"Anyway, you're going be doing these questions. The only hint I will give is to not just take them at face value." Rin said before sitting down again.

Yeonjun had expected multiple complicated math problems, but there was only one at most. The rest were wordy questions. Rin told him not to take them at face value, but what else could they mean other than what was written. He was already stressed out. Soobin had crashed as well.

Kang nudged Rin then pointed to the two sitting with blank stares. Rin sighed while shaking his head. If they couldn't solve simple questions, they wouldn't make it through initiation. Yeonjun's blank stare faded as he started to understand. A small smile found its way to Rin's face as Yeonjun started to write down answers.

Rin put Yeonjun in his leg restraints then felt him hug him. He blinked rapidly before pulling away.

"Stop that... give me your wrists." mumbled Rin.

"You're working hard today. Don't tire yourself out." Yeonjun said quietly.

Rin sighed then pulled his hood and mask down. He hesitated before cupping Yeonjun's cheeks.

"Did Kang's words hurt...?" asked Rin.

"No. He had a point. I would've gotten more done if I wasn't looking at you." replied Yeonjun.

Rin hummed in agreement as he ran his fingers through his hair. It was about time his hair was washed as well. Yeonjun lifted his arms only for them to be kept still.

"What? You know I'm not supposed to let you out." said Rin as he sat back.

"Please..." begged Yeonjun. "Just my arms..."

Rin caved and freed his arms. Yeonjun motioned for him to come closer. Once he was close, Yeonjun squished his cheeks with a big grin. Rin quietly searched his face then held his hands.

"Did I misstep...?" asked Yeonjun softly.

Rin leaned forward then stopped. What was he doing? He swallowed hard as he made eye contact. Yeonjun leaned forward and pressed his lips against Rin's before he changed his mind and pulled away. Rin lowered their hands as he let Yeonjun enter his mouth. They gently held each other's cheeks as they kissed.

Yeonjun pulled away first, well aware that his actions had costed him everything. He himself didn't know why he went for it. It just happened. He looked at Rin who pushed his hair back with a sigh.

"Shit..." Rin muttered as he got up and left the room.
