Stigma
~ The Next Day ~
Entering the classroom and receiving casual greetings from my classmates, I headed toward my desk where Jungkook was already situated next to.
Raising his head to the sound of my footsteps approaching him, Jungkook excitedly beckoned to me with his right hand with an elated smile on his face.
"Yeah?" I questioned as I reached his side, lightly hanging my bag on my chair by its straps as I sat down on my seat.
"Are you free tonight?" He curiously asked.
"Why?" I confusedly questioned back.
"I want you to eat dinner with me." He invited, causing my heart to slightly skip a beat.
"W-What?" I sheepishly asked, wondering if I had heard him wrong.
"I've been going to your house a lot lately and I want to repay you. Plus, I want to introduce you to my mom since you've never met her before." He said, being that considerate gentleman he truly is.
"What time?" I asked.
"Come to my house around 7." He answered.
Receiving his generous invitation, I nodded in response with a contented grin on my face.
"Okay."
~ 7:00 pm ~
Wearing my favorite one piece dress, my hair neatly tied up with a crimson ribbon, and my lips stained in a rosy pink color, I came upon Jungkook's front door.
With my quivering hand, I nervously knocked on it with my knuckles.
After a few seconds of waiting, the door vigorously opened and revealed Jungkook, who displayed an astonished expression at the sight of me.
"Woah." He surprisedly said, his eyes growing larger as he scanned my entire appearance.
"W-What?" I shyly asked, my cheeks slightly flaring from his intense gaze.
"You actually look like a girl." He said in utter shock, probably referring to how I usually portrayed a rather aggressive, manly girl, but today I was all dressed-up and decent-looking for once.
"Gee, thanks." I grouchily responded, rolling my eyes at his offensive remark.
"Come in. My mom's waiting for you." He said as he welcomed me into his house, turning around as he faced his back to me and walked toward his kitchen.
Timidly taking a step in, I anxiously shut the door behind me and obediently followed after him.
Entering his kitchen along with him, I noticed a magnificent dinner served on a gigantic table with Jungkook's mother and a familiar-looking person situated around it.
My heart literally stopped at the realization that it was Yerim, who also had her eyes widened at the sight of me.
Oh god.
Why the hell is she here?
I would've never came if I knew she was eating with us too.
"Well well, who's this cute girl Jungkookie?" His mother delightedly asked with warm grin displayed on her face as she fondly gazed at me.
"This is Choi Seoyeon, one of my closest friends." He introduced me to her, and I simply smiled at her and bowed.
"Oh so she's the girl you always talk about!" She said in surprise, causing Jungkook and I to madly blush while Yerim sent me an agitated glare.
He talks about me when I'm not around?
"Seoyeon, my son literally never stops talking about you! He tells me how funny you are, how-"
"Ahh I think that's enough mom!" Jungkook hurriedly interrupted in embarrassment, stopping her before she continued to humiliate him in front of Yerim and I.
Chuckling at his adorable reaction, his mother shyly apologized for getting carried away.
"Alright, let's eat!"

While all four of us happily enjoyed the delectable dinner, Jungkook suddenly spoke up.
"Mom, can I get some more water?" He asked while holding up his empty cup.
"Oh, it's in the fridge." His mother responded, firmly placing both of her hands on the table as she attempted to stand up.
"Oh don't worry, I'll get it." I assured as I hurriedly stood up from my seat.
"Thank you sweetheart." She said in appreciation, warmly smiling at me in gratitude.
"No problem." I smiled back at her as I hurriedly rushed toward the direction of the kitchen, took out the carafe filled with water, and rushed back to where everyone was waiting.
But just as I was about to reach the table, I felt someone's foot abruptly trip me and cause me to lose hold of the carafe, shattering the glass and spilling the water all over the marble floor.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" I anxiously apologized, quickly crouching down and picking up the debris of glass scattered on the ground with my hands.
"It's alright honey, just be careful next time." Jungkook's mother assured, helping me clean the mess I had caused.
After cleaning up everything, we continued on with our joyful dinner while I was still overwhelmed by extreme guilt.
Raising my head to look up, I noticed Yerim deviously smirking in satisfaction at the terrible accident I had caused.
Coming upon the realization that it was her foot that caused me to trip in the first place, I furiously clenched my fists and sent her a raging glare.
"Would you guys like desert?" Jungkook's mother generously asked.
"Is that even a question." Jungkook asked in disbelief, giving her the 'duh' look on his face for asking such an obvious question.
"Seoyeon, could you please get the cheesecake I made from the fridge?" His mother asked me.
"Of course." I responded, standing up from my seat as I rushed to the kitchen.
Returning with a plate of mouthwatering cheesecake firmly secured in my hands, I cautiously walked toward the direction of the table.
But suddenly, Yerim once again tripped me, making me lose control of the plate and drop the cake Jungkook's mother put effort into making just for us.
Something inside of me just snapped, because I felt a fire of extreme rage ignite inside of me as I fiercely turned to face this abhorrent little bitch.
"Can you fucking stop?!" I shouted with all my might, my fists furiously clenched as my anger combusted.
"W-What're you talking about...?" Yerim innocently asked, fearfully looking up at me as she placed her quivering hand on her chest in an obviously fake manner.
But suddenly, Jungkook's mother forcefully slammed her hands on the table with an enraged look on her face.
"How dare you use such foul language in my house?!" She loudly scolded me.
"But she-" I anxiously muttered to explain what Yerim did, but I was abruptly cut off by her.
"And how could you blame Yerim for something that's clearly your fault?! She did absolutely nothing wrong!" She defended her, not giving me a single chance to stand up for myself.
Letting out a deep sigh of disappointment, she turned to face her son, who was speechlessly observing the whole incident with his jaw dropped.
"I'm so glad you don't have a rude imbecile like Seoyeon as your girlfriend Jungkook." His mother stated in utter relief.
"M-Mom!" Jungkook shouted at her for making such a comment.
"I'm happy you're with such a gorgeous, elegant, and courteous girl like Yerim." She praised as she warmly glanced at Yerim, who was smiling back at her in great satisfaction.
Unable to take it anymore, I grievously ran toward the front door to leave.
"Seoyeon!" Jungkook anxiously shouted in attempt to stop me, but I already had my hand on the doorknob.
"I'm really sorry for everything. I really am." I apologized without turning back, and left the house.
Walking down the dark neighborhood with only a few flickering lamp posts to provide me with light, I headed toward the direction of my house with my head hanging low.
There was an empty void inside of me with no emotions, no heartache, no nothing.
I'm so used to this already.
I'm so used to being disappointed.
I'm so used to being despised by everyone.
I'm so used to getting hurt.
No one cares about me.
No one wants me.
No one likes me.
