Titles are hard, don't judge me

Does anyone else do that thing where you get so happy you just don't breathe? Is it just me or what?

Once they got to the mountain, Wally rushed Dick to the med bay. "Dickie, are you still awake?" he asked, his voice cracking. There was soo much blood. "Y-yeah, you w-worry too much," Dick replied with a smirk.
"You're so lucky," Wally stated, checking him over again.

Any urgent wounds had already been seen to and his oxygen levels were back to normal. "I'm a lucky guy," he mumbled. "You want anything?"
"Painkillers if ya got em. I feel like death," he replied. Wally nodded and got him water along with small pills. "We're calling Bruce. Get some rest," Wally said, kissing Dick on the forehead lightly. "Okay."

After getting Dick stable, Batman was called. He was worried and instantly came to the cave. "How is he?" he asked gruffly. "Great actually. He's aware of his surroundings, we've given him the blood he's lost and stitched up the wounds," Kaldur replied. "We have had to give him some painkillers. He says Slade did this to him." Batman's fists clenched. "Do we know why Slade was there?" he asked. "Only Richard does. You can talk to him now about it," Kaldur answered.

"I'll let him rest. I'm going to do something I'll most likely regret. He stays here until he is healed. I have too much on my plate and Alfred isn't the man he was when Dick first started. I'm trusting you to look after him." he announced, stealing the team's attention. "Really?" Wally asked excitedly. "Yes. Luckily you have a long summer break. I want reports on his health every day with no delay. Anything you give him gets reported. No training and no patrol either. Your main focus is nursing him back to health, got it?" he asked. They nodded urgently. "I'll let him know," he muttered walking into the med bay.

Dick was half asleep when he felt a hand on his. "Dick, it's Bruce," Bruce stated. Dick woke up and managed a smile. "Hi, how bad did Wally make it out to be?" Dick asked.
"Said you were half way to death. You're going to be staying here until you're better, okay. Don't train or even think about patrols or better yet missions." Dick giggled a little.
"Fine. It's unlike you to trust the team so much, what's with the change of heart?" Bruce chuckled a little and shrugged. "Perhaps being around your friends will make you feel better."
"Or the writer needs a reason for me to stay here with the team instead," Dick mumbled. "What?"
"What?"

Bruce gave him a confused look and blamed it on the painkillers. "I'll check on you everyday. You shouldn't have to sleep in here tonight so make sure you move sharp objects away from your bed," Bruce reminded him. "Yeah yeah, I know the rodeo," Dick responded. The older could only chuckle to misplace the worry. "See you soon chum," he said. Dick saluted him and watched him walk out.
