Do you know de wae

It had been hours since they had seen their little bird and they needed to change his bandages. Occasionally, Connor would hear something that resembled a strangled cry but he didn't want to mention it to the others. He brushed it off as him still crying over Wally.
Suddenly, Wally got to his feet and walked out the room with a look of determination on his face. He grabbed a roll of bandages and some painkillers before darting to Dick's room. Even if they had broken up, Batman told them to look after Dick and he wouldn't go against his wishes.
He knocked on the door and waited for any type of response, any signs of human life. There were growing whimpers coming from inside and the sound of fabric being moved violently. 'Shit' Wally thought as he assumed that Dick had fallen asleep earlier. "Dick open up." he ordered banging on the door. A soft grunt could be heard along with a thud. "Dick?"
A few minutes passed and the door finally slid open. Dick leant against the door way with a pale, sweaty face. He held his side in pain and grimaced when he saw it was Wally. "You need to change your bandages and take your medication," Wally told him. A pang of guilt went through his chest when he looked upon his new ex. "Hand it over then," Dick stated, resentment clear in his voice. "Like you're in any state to wrap yourself up right," the ginger retorted.
"Fine." Dick stood to the side, letting him into his room.
He sat on the bed and waited for Dick to limp over. It felt inappropriate to carry him back over to the bed. "I see you've already done away with your wheelchair huh?" he joked nervously. Dick rolled his eyes in response and took off his shirt so they could remove the bandages. "Are we going to talk about this?" Wally questioned, slowly peeling away the bandages. He was surprised at the dampness of them but in the dim light he couldn't see much.
"What's there to talk about? I'm sure we can act like adults and not be petty to one another," Dick responded.
"But you know what I said I didn't mean. I care about you a lot Dick," Wally told him. If Dick didn't take him back at that he would have to use his secret weapon. "You mocked my parents." Dick said bluntly. This left Wally in guilty silence. "Out of everything you could've used against me, you chose that. How long have you been waiting to use that insult?" Dick asked, tearing up a little. "I'm so sorry, I just scrambled for something and that's all I could settle on. I would never purposely hurt you." They remained in silence as Wally turned the lights on to see what he was doing better. Dick had split his stitches on his torso but the others seemed fine. "How'd you split those?" Wally asked.
"Fell out of bed." He nodded then grabbed some supplies to fix it from the infirmary.
"You were having a nightmare weren't you?" he said suddenly. Dick nodded and looked away sadly. "What about?"
"Why should I tell you? You're not my boyfriend anymore," the younger snapped, turning away with his arms folded. Tears pricked at Wally's eyes and one managed to escape, cascading down his face. "I still want to be there for you Dickie. I still love you." Dick turned around then stared into Wally's eyes, slowly breaking down. "You promise?" he asked, sniffling a little. He'd planned on staying angry and not giving in but when Wally did those puppy eyes he couldn't stay mad. "I promise," Wally promised. "I'm sorry." he replied, hugging the older tightly and ignoring the stinging pain in his stomach.
Wally wasted no time in hugging him back, feeling his shirt dampen. "Dickie are you crying?" he asked, raising his face. "Yes you asshole! I'm in pain emotionally and physically and everything is so much and I just-"
"Shhh, it's fine. Let's get you some painkillers and stitch you up. Then you're getting some sleep, the bags under your eyes are more noticeable than Batman's glare." Dick giggled a little and let go of Wally.
Wally did what he needed to then let Dick lay on his chest so he could get to sleep. "Do you remember that song you used to sing all the time when you were a kid?" Wally asked. He raised an eyebrow. "What song?" He asked. "It was in Romanian, it went something like tu esti raza mea de soare." (You are my sunshine) He sang in an unsure tone which made Dick laugh. His Romanian had always been rusty but it was cute when he tried. "I remember it. Mama used to sing it all the time so I just sang it to remember her." Wally nodded in understanding and played with Dick's hair. "Singurul meu soare," (my only sunshine) he carried on. "Mă faci fericit când cerul este gri," (you make me happy when skies are grey) Wally joined in. "Nu vei sti niciodata draga," (you'll never know dear). Dick's voice began to trail off slightly.
"Cat de mult te iubesc," (how much I love you.) Dick was now completely slurring his words as sleep took hold. Wally chuckled a little and carried on. "Te rog nu-mi lua soarele departe," (please don't take my sunshine away) he finished. Not seeing the point in moving, Wally went to sleep with Dick, keeping a protective arm around him at all times.
Bonus
Wondering where Wally had gotten to, Artemis went to Dick's room to find the door wide open and the young hero cuddled up next to the older. A part of her wanted to grab some pans and smack them together for a prank but Dick looked so tired. He had been awake for a long time so he needed this sleep. She smiled to herself and got out her phone instead, taking a photo for blackmail purposes. "Sleep tight Boy Blunder," she muttered, closing the door silently. "Ahh blackmail, the best invention ever." she said, looking at the photo she took.
Sorry this took so long
