"Mami where is Ya Abdul" I said walking into the kitchen to mum's who was busied with preparing delicacies with the house helps against dad's arrival from Australia for a business deal.

"He went out together with Habeeba some minutes ago,those lovebirds" mom said fondly," is anything wrong?

"Not really just needed some files from him,work related, and please this beauty here needs to rest" I said circling my arms around her "atleast this awesome guys here got that" I added gesturing towards the maids.

"Oh silly boy" she smacked me playfully on my arms "stop flattering me and you know I want everything to be made perfect" she finished her eyes twinkling.

"Oooh I sense love in the air" I said mischievously  whispering in her ears.

"Navid!! Mum gasped fake glaring at me," out of here she dragged me by the arm pulling me out.

"Mami! where are you" came Haneefa's loud voice booming across the hallway.

"Over  here" she answered loosening her hold on me as we now stood outside the kitchen.

"I'm ready" she chirped as she approached us with her stiletto heels clinking on the tiled floor "will just be on my way with the driver,but how do I look" she twirled for our comment.

"OMG I gasped making her squeal with happiness only if she knew what I'd say next,"you look like a clown,I hope you don't scare people away while out" I broke out trying to keep on a straight face but failed to laughter due to the horrified expression that was now masked across her face.

"Ya Navid!!! she shrieked "you didn't just say that"

"Ooops I said dramatically placing my hands on my mouth  "on the contrary  I think I just did" I added my eyes crinkling with mischief.

"Mum did you heard that" she whined.

"Navid" mum glared at me, "dont mind him my princess" she turned to her taking hold  of her hands "you are looking very beautiful  as always,so get going so you come back early before your father does.

"Okay bye I love you mami" Hany said kissing her on the forehead and scowled my way as she heads for the door swaying unnecessarily just to get back at me her abaya flaying.

"Hany wait" mum halted her before she reached for the door,"I totally forgot that I just sent the driver out,"so I think".... and they both look my way upon mum's words,their faces all softening on me and coated with a pleading look.

"No way" I said immediately because I know that look,"please Navid" mum confirmed my guess "she won't take long  she just need to purchase a textbook that's all,right Hany?

"Yes ya Navid we will just spend some few minutes I promise she pleaded my way.

"Oh God" I groaned "have things to do, when will you get over that fear and learn to drive yourself"

"Preety please" she pleaded pulling on her puppy dog face at me.

"Quit that face" I said trying to glare at her but failed,she knew i couldnt say no to her for long especially with that face she made making her look so cute and angelic like always,"let's meet outside,will just get my car keys from the room".

That made her happily bade mum,scurrying away to wait up for me at the porch and after I retrieved the car key we left to get the books.

"Oh my God" Hanifa said looking at me with mock horror as  I just drove into the mansion maneuvering my way on our driveway back from a very tiresome outing.

"What" I said turning towards her with a bored tone.

"I just remembered I  have a similar peach coloured kimono as this here" she said pulling out the outfit from the shopping bag atop her lap"the difference being just the patterns and rhinestones,Ya Allah" she face palmed herself exasperated.

"So Ya Nav" she added giddily craning her neck to take in my face while I just maintained my stance staring straight ahead unwavering,"don't you think we should go back to the store and exchange this with the purple-coloured one you suggested will look good on me back there.

"I can't believe I made this mistake,surely there must be a......

"Should I leave the key to you to lock the car if you are done" I said to her with an annoyed expression interrupting her blabber.

"Done what? she asked in a confused tone.

I didn't bother answering her as I exited the car grabbing my phone along and as she realized I was actually leaving there she also came out" you are no fun" she said with a whimper thumping away clinking her heels louder than necessary.

After locking the car I followed her actions and strided into the house nodding at the house helps I came across my way too exhausted to answer properly to their greetings.

Assalamu alaikum(Peace be unto you),I salam-ed mami who I approached at the spacious sitting room downstairs watching a network program,Good afternoon" I greeted her taking a seat on the sofa adjacent to her.

"Afternoon,Nav" mom smiled at me fondly with her radiant face looking beautiful as always, she would pass for a late thirties in contrast to being in her early fifties, "what took you so long,atleast will get something reasonable now because this   drama queen here" mami gestured to Hany who was sitted next to her on the sofa "just evade my questions and keeps on whining on you not taking her back to the store.

"Mami isn't it obvious that its this girl here who delayed us,after getting the textbook she pleaded with me in taking her to get a kima..ki.something along that line.

"Its kimono" she said with an eye roll.

"Whatever, well getting that I continued is what took us for like an eternity before she settled for one which she now thinks I added tsking isn't to her taste.

"Just know this, am never taking you out again i said stressing each word.

"So you say every time Mami said sighing.

Well I am pretty sure I meant it this time I said gazing towards Hany who was also scowling my way.

"Ya Allah, I almost forgot, Mami what about dad,has his plane landed"

"Silly boy, so its now you remember, he came back and left for office right away something urgent came up  but he will be back before dinner.

"Dad wont just rest always work,I said shaking my head, I sure can't do that.

"Hmmm, we just shall see when the time comes, same was what your brother said but how is he now all committed and serious about work,you should also learn from them with you just starting"Mami finished.

"No mami a guy gotta enjoy his life I said smirking,but mami I can't sight the others" my eyes roaming around "are they still not back"

"They are all in the living room upstairs eyes glued to the TV watching some series of a sort"

"No way" me and Hany shouted in unison and that's all it took for the both of us to sprint towards the spiral staircase.

"That's so not cool guys" I said as we approached them upstairs, "yea so not cool" Hany added.

"Well is it our fault you guys went out and refused coming back Ya Abdul countered, "so true" Hanif said nodding,"well if I should say I pleaded with them severally to wait up for you two does that  count me out " Ya Habeeba said scrunching her face.

"Totally" I said settling myself on the couch as Hany did concentrating on the LED plasma where a Korean drama was in play. Korean series to us was bae and I  and Hany's reason for sprinting here earlier was because we the korean-series addict in this house just purchased a new k-disc which some of us decided to start watching without us.

"Fill us in" I said to them as we were oblivious of what happened earlier and ya Habeeba gave us a summary.

"Didn't you all hear the azan(call for prayer), mami said walking in on us,"No," Ya Allah,"is it time already? We all responded spontaneously.

"How will you all know when all your sense organs have being engaged in watching,everyone up!

"And Habeeba Jidda is awake though I gave her to the maid to feed her but she is throwing a tantrum so I think you need to go there ASAP before she loose it,you know how our little angel can be" mami added smiling.

"Right away" ya  Beeba stood abruptly aiming for downstairs,"wait up" ya Abdul followed her act "Not without this handsome" he added winking causing ya Beeba to blush.Their love for each other is just too cute sparing no moment without proving it and who would have thought so when just some couple of years back they where the cousins that couldn't stand each other, always bickering only for  them to later realize a different feeling for each other leading them to where they are now and masha Allah blessed with a year old beauty Jidda.

I am Navid Aliyu Mafa 23 a graduate with a Bsc in business just joined  Mafa corporations a month back here home in Abuja after completion of my degree and the necessaries, second son to  the socialite, business tycoon and an icon who has made name in the world of business with several establishment in various part of the country Alhaji Aliyu Mafa and to a loving mother Hajiya Halima a civil servant and also an entrepreneur and a younger brother to ya Abdulsamad 27 currently residing in Lagos running dad's business there happily married to our cousin Ya Habeeba (Ya Beeba) with their lovely daughter Jidda,an elder brother to our twins Hanif and Haneefa 19 in their second year of a bachelors degree.

Ahem,Ahem dad cleared his voice at the dinning table where we all were having dinner after he was back from office and that act all made us cast a curious glance at him because we know what it means,he has an announcement.

"Navid I got you an admission in Canada for a business program"

"What! I said almost choking on my drink, "no dad I pass, just completed my degree not long ago and joined the business a month back  all that is too much for me and I need to get settled in the business first,so dad let's leave that issue for now don't you think? I finished looking at him with a pleading face.

"All the more reason why you need to leave, I want you to earn a position in the company not because you are my son but because you earn it, I want you capable and competent for our company's uplift,so stop lazying about boy and boss up" dad added with a finality in his tone.

"Yes Navid I absolutely agree with dad its a very good idea have you forgotten I also completed my undergraduate and masters before assuming the line and that will make you look way more cooler ya Abdul added winking my way.

" Don't worry my son you will be done and over with it before you even know",obviously mami's line

"Absolutely" the others added."Awnn some one is scared to leave his mama" the trouble maker who was beside me teased,causing everyone to erupt in laughter, having no energy to get back at her I only glared fiercely her way.

The ringing of my phone was what interrupted my thought on the issue,and seeing the caller Id alone brighten my earlier sour mood her angelic face flashing in my eyes and there and then I knew I just have to go through with the plan I just conjured in my head.

I can't afford to loose her and I will take any risk for her.

I want to see you its crucial was the quick text I typed to her being unable to pick up her call at the moment but I couldn't deny the fact that I felt nervousness settle in my body against my anticipated plan.

"What is the duration dad" I manage to croak out".

"Its just a six month study son,real quick"

"Perfect I thought  I pray it work through.
