The battle ensues as you and Winter take on the Beowolves, while the others defend against the incoming Grimm. The team works together seamlessly, with Ironwood providing cover fire and JNPR fending off smaller enemies. Despite the overwhelming odds, they seem to be managing well.

Meanwhile, Star is flying towards CFVY's location as they are taking on a hydra grimm. He drops from the sky with enough impact to destroy the Hydra's spine as it slams into the ground. As the Hydra thrashes, Star summons swords then slams them together to get his Greatsword and strikes the beast with all his might, finally putting it out of its misery. He turns to see Yang and Bianca approaching, their weapons at the ready.

Star: You guys good?

Star calls out as Bianca and Yang approach him as he jumped off the hydra's disappearing body.
Yang looks at Star and nods.

Yang: We're holding up pretty well. You didn't happen to see (Y/n) around here, did you?

Star nods his head.

Star: I dropped him at the hole in the wall. He's with Jaune's team, the general and that woman that looks kinda like Weiss....Winter! That's it.

Star says as he recollects the name from memory.

Star: Where's Ruby, Blake and Weiss?

Star asks as he notices the absent teammates of Yang.

Bianca: They went to assist Cinder, Emerald and Mercury in the square. Some Grimm have been getting past (Y/n) and the others so they're cleaning up.

Star nods and looks into the distance.

Star: Please Ike...tell me you're nearly done.

Star thinks.

Meanwhile, Ike is focusing super hard trying to pinpoint everyone's life force in the city with quick succession.

Ike: Damn. Purple fire boost is no joke.

He thinks but his concentration is cut off as he hears growls and turns his head to see a Cerberus Grimm has climbed to building to get to him. It snarls as Ike's eyes widen.

Ike: 'Oh shit.'

He looks out at the city. He couldn't break the concentration otherwise he'd have to start over. The Cerberus stomps towards him and roars before pouncing at Ike. Ike closes his eyes to brace but a fireball strikes the Cerberus' side causing Ike to take a deep breath and look to see Professor Port and Oobleck with Ozpin in the middle of him.

Ike: Damn. If that isn't a big three entrance then I don't know what is.

Ike says clearly impressed.

Ozpin walks up to the boy and overlooks the city.

Ozpin: Please tell me you're up here for a reason, Mr Light.

Ike nods.

Ike: I'm gonna get rid of this little problem you see in front of us.

Ozpin looks out at the combined Mutant and Grimm attack.

Ozpin: I'd hardly call this...'little'.

He states as Professor Port looks down and whistles in astonishment. While Oobleck speeds around the Cerberus Grimm, taking in its features.

Oobleck: Incredible! Darkness manifested into darkness to create a new breed of Grimm.

Ozpin looks at the Cerberus to see it stirring.

Ozpin: Bartholomew. Don't stand too close.

Ozpin warns to which the professor looks at the headmaster then back at the mutant Grimm only to see it weakly stand up and spew black blood on the ground that creates Cerberus pups.

The speedy professor backs away.

Oobleck: Ah, the miracle of birth.

Professor Port raises his weapon, Blowhard.

Port: If you say so old friend.

Ozpin raises his cane as if he was wielding a sword.

Ozpin: What do you need Ike?

He asks to which Ike slightly turns his head and answers.

Ike: Time. Not a lot but when I say ready then brace.

As Ike concentrates once more, the Cerberus and its pups grunt and charge at them. Oobleck raises his club weapon, Antiquity's race while Professor Port stands ready with Blowhard. Ozpin stands firm with his cane held high as the Cerberus approaches.

Ike: Aim for the heads.

Ike warns as the Cerberus and its pups close in, Professor Oobleck swings his club with all his might, striking the mother Cerberus' head with a loud clang. The attack manages to stagger the beast, but it doesn't slow down.

Meanwhile, Ike concentrates on pinpointing the life forces in the city. Suddenly, he feels something coming from behind the Grimm that you and Winter are fighting.

He shakes it off and keeps pinpointing thinking it's nothing.

Meanwhile, Ironwood, JNPR, Winter and yourself were pushed back into the city as the number of Grimm had increased.

Jaune: How are there so many?! Where are they coming from?!

Jaune shouts as he blocks an Ursa cub from jumping onto him and stabs it.

(Y/n): They're spreading out all over the city.

You shout as you shoot incoming Beowolves.

Winter: The Knights and my summons should be able to handle small fry but it's the nevermores and King Taijutsu's we have to worry about.

As Winter says this, a Nevermore swoops down from above and attacks you. The hit would have left you with a nasty gash but thanks to your aura, you can take almost any hit.

(Y/n): I hope Ike hasn't been swooped up by them.

You say as you parry a Ursa's attack and stab it in the gut before kicking it away. Meanwhile, Ozpin and the others continue their battle against the Cerberus and its pups. With precise timing and teamwork, they manage to take down each of the Cerberus' heads, finally defeating the mutant Grimm. The fight seems to be going well for now, with Winter and (Y/n) fending off the Beowolves while Ironwood provides cover fire. Glynda, who was with Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, Ruby, Weiss and Blake. Concentrates as rubble around her begins to levitate before each large piece turns into a large needle that seeks the Nevermore flying above. Not leaving the Professor to do this task alone, Ruby, Weiss and Blake open fire at the Nevermore while team CFVY come in to assist by taking care of approaching Grimm.

Ike's breathing became loud in his ears as his fire started to blaze out of control around his body. He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes as he inhales then exhales deeply before opening his eyes.

Ike: ...Ready.

Ozpin, Oobleck and Port look at him and then back at the Cerberus Grimm and its pups. They fall back next to Ike and brace as he had instructed.

Ike closes his eyes once more as his fire becomes more out of control to the point it covered Ozpin, Oobleck and Port. The three look at themselves alarmed but found that the purple flames didn't burn.

The Cerberus and its pups stopped as they could feel the opposite. They whimpered at the heat they were feeling. Ike then inhaled which caused his flames to disappear. This did cause. the professors to worry as they looked at Ike.

Port: Did...Did it fail?

Ozpin looks at Ike closely before straightening up.

Ozpin: No.

Ike reopened his eyes revealing they were still purple.

Ike: ...Flash Flare.

As soon as Ike spoke, a powerful purple explosion of fire rocked Vale, causing you and everyone else to look at the approaching purple flames before being engulfed in them along with the Cerberus and its pups and the other mutant Grimm and normal Grimm in the city.

Everyone's ears rung as their vision went white. When the brightness faded from everyone's eyes, they look around to see purple flames around the city and around themselves. The flames didn't burn and the best part, there wasn't a trace of Mutants or Grimm anywhere to be seen.

Oobleck: Remarkable.

Oobleck let's out but then takes notice of Ike's absence from beside him.

Oobleck: Mr Light?

Ozpin looks to his side to see Ike is indeed gone.

Star decends to you as his white angel wing disappears and his sleeveless hoodie returns around his body.

You are too stunned to even acknowledge him coming next to you. So instead of striking conversation, he goes to a calm flame in front of you and reaches out to it slowly. Suddenly, all the remnants of purple flames begin to gather on the building in front of him and yourself. Everyone watches the beautiful display of purple flames dancing in the air and converging on the roof of the building in front of you.

(Y/n): Star?

Star hums in response.

(Y/n): You ARE the strongest out of your brothers, yeah?

You question to which Star nods slightly, never taking his eyes away from the building as the purple flames begin to rebuild Ike's entire body.

(Y/n): ...Just making sure.

Is all you could say further as you see Ike fully reconstruct himself and stand up straight with his hands out infront of himself, trying to keep himself balanced. He then looks down at you and Star before smiling slightly and giving a thumbs up.

Which Star and you return as you both smile back at him.

Timeskip. 10:00am~

Everyone had gathered at the square to catch their breaths. Ozpin was talking to team CFVY, Ruby was reenacting what she was doing during the battle with her team, Jaune was doing the same with his team, Ironwood and the rest of the professors besides Goodwitch who was repairing the city, was talking to each other as Knights and Atlasien soldiers guided everyone out of the safety bunkers due to the threat no longer lingering. As for you, you had Bianca resting on your shoulder as you were both leaning against the steps with Star sitting a few steps down, slouching and looking around with a smile on his face. As for Ike, he was a step up from you and Bianca, lying down with his hands behind his head and his sunglasses over his eyes.

Ike: So, can I cook or what?

You scoff.

(Y/n): In the literal sense, yes.

You answer which gains a chuckle from Star and a giggle from Bianca.

Ike: Yeah, yeah. Laugh all you want.

He says as he adjusts himself in his spot.

Bianca: So much for missions day huh?

Bianca speaks up. You nod in agreement but shrug at the same time.

(Y/n): Sort of. Saved the city from a Mutantand normal Grimm attack. I say that this counts as a mission.

Star looks at you both.

Star: Five star completion in my opinion.

Star compliments. Ike nods in agreement.

Ike: True that....Even if you did get carried by this stand up guy.

Ike states while pointing to himself.

Jasper: Tell Ike that I would have dealt with the Grimm faster if it was me out instead of him.

You snort and look at Ike.

(Y/n): Jasper says that he would have dealt with the Grimm faster if it was him out instead of you.

You say. Ike gives you a look and scoots over to you and looks at your head.

Ike: Oh yeah, Big guy?! Well you're not out yet so deal with it! As a matter of fact! You can stay in there until you finally fix your 'fight hard, die hard' attitude!

Ike yells which causes Bianca, Star and yourself to laugh. As you all settle down, you see Cinder and her team walk past. You raise an eyebrow wondering where they've been but shrug it off as nothing important. Bianca breathes out slowly and pulls up her hand and your hand which were interlocked and kisses the back of your hand. You respond to the gesture by kissing her on the forehead.

Bianca: Hmmm...

You look down at her with a questioning look.

(Y/n):Penny for your thoughts?

You say to which she shook her head.

Bianca: It's probably nothing...but. Who was throwing those trees at us when we were in the airbus?

She asks.

Star: Oh! Mutant Beowolves. Saw them myself and took care of them.

Bianca nods, satisfied with the answer given. However, her brow farrows.

Bianca: Wait...then, what threw that tree that actually hit us?

Star looks at her, his eyes look at the ground as Ike turns his head to look at Star. His eyes behind his sunglasses showing concern.

Star: Must of been one I missed...yeah that has to be it...

Star trails off as he begins to think. Suddenly, Ike looks to see a trickle of blood ooze from Star's nose. This causes Ike to sit up.

Ike: Star...Your nose.

Star looks at him then brings his hand to his nose to wipe underneath it. He looks at the blood on the side of his index finger for awhile. Bianca and yourself look between the two brothers, confused on what is happening.

Bianca: You need a tissue, Star?

She says, however Star starts to look around before getting up slowly. Ike follows suit and looks around as well. Both you and Bianca become alarmed as Star summons his swords and Ike turns on his yellow flames. This commotion gets the attention of everyone except for the soldiers, vale authorities and knights.

Star: ....He's here...

Star's eyes dart around scanning every detail of the environment. Hearing what Star said, Bianca and yourself immediately draw your own weapons and look around. You scan the rooftops while Bianca looks at the street.

Yang: You guys okay?

Yang asks as she comes close with her team.

Ozpin: Mr Hunter?

Star keeps scanning the area until his eyes lock onto a squad of Atlas soldiers and notices their shadows moving weirdly. His eyes widen as he calls out to them.

Star: Look out!

The soldier's look at Star however one gets grabbed by a shadow hand and screams as he is slowly crushed by the hand as it slams repeatedly into his other squad mates, reducing them to a bloody mess before finally getting crushed by the shadow hand.

Everyone looks at the scene in horror. Star steels himself and gets in a defensive stance as the shadow hand lowers to their height and twists and reforms into a body. The cracking and stomach churning sounds cause unsettlement amongst the crew as the soldier's red blood turns into a red scarf and a black tattered cloak forms on the back and blows in the wind. Both attached to an unwelcome face.

Nightmare: Hello, little light. Am I late to my own party?
