Time (9:45)

You were sitting on the edge on part of the highway in vale that was under construction with your legs dangling off the side. Bianca sits next to you while Ike is sitting on a concrete barrier dangling his legs on the opposite side where there was surface.

Ike: Tonight was fun. Even though you two weren't the plan for my night out. It was still a good way to spend it rather than just wasting it on drinking and bar hopping.

You both look at Ike.

(Y/n): Is that really all you planned to do tonight if we hadn't shown up?

Ike shrugs and raises his right leg up and hugs it.

Ike: Maybe. Sorry if it sounds concerning. Just the way I operate.

You look down over the edge at the cars driving below. You sigh.

(Y/n): You're not the only blond who's going to be doing that routine.

You say as you cover your eyes then lean back into the gravel.

(Y/n): There's gonna be fallout with those two. If not with all the bullies.

Ike looks at you and blows raspberries.

Ike: She'll have to get over it. She was practically spying on you two. If I didn't know any better, she....or rather 'they' seeing as how Blake was with her. They were probably following you both all night.

He states. Bianca looks at you and puts her hand on your leg.

Bianca: Hey. Don't let it get to you. If those bullies go near you I'll see them out of the area with my semblance.

Ike lowers his right leg and looks at Bianca.

Ike: That reminds me. Bianca. What IS your semblance? I don't think I've seen you use it.

Bianca looks at him.

Bianca: Oh. Well....

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small rectangular piece of paper. Ike leans forward.

Ike: Is that an Ofuda?

Bianca: Yeah. My semblance allows me to use them for various things. Protection, teleportation or explosions.

You look at her and sit up.

(Y/n): I've never seen you use them before. Not even during our mission to the village.

Bianca puts the paper back in her pocket and sighs.

Bianca: That's because I can can only use one of the three categories I just said.

Bianca stands up and looks up at the broken moon.

Bianca: It was passed down from my father's side. It requires a lot of concentration and patience to make one, and that's just me. Dad could make a dozen of each category in five seconds. I used to be able to make a dozen of these too in the one category I know.....Now, I can't even make half of that.

You stand up and hug her from behind.

(Y/n): Just need some more practice Bianca. I'm still working out the kinks to my 'semblance' if we wanna call it that at the moment.

Ike smiles at the two.

Ike: As they used to say back on my world. Rome wasn't built in a day.

You and Bianca look at Ike.

Bianca: Rome?

Ike takes out his flask and pops the lid.

Ike: Used to be a city back on the 'old world'.

Ike takes a swig of alcohol from the flask and swallows hard before putting the lid back on.

Ike: The meaning of the saying is a reminder that it requires time and patience to create something big and great.

You smile and look at Bianca.

(Y/n): I like that saying.

Bianca turns to you and smiles. She stands on her the tip of her toes and shares a tender kiss with you. Your arms wrap around her as hers wrap around your neck. Ike puts the flask away and coughs softly while looking away.

You both stop and smile at each other.

(Y/n): We should make that our focus on tomorrow's training session.

Bianca smiles and nods.

Jasper: Training session? Is that what your going to be calling it now?

Jasper remarks making you blush. Bianca notices your blush and giggles.

Bianca: What? Did one of the boys say something again?

You shook your head and chuckle.

(Y/n): Yeah. Not important right now. We should be heading back now. It's getting late and I'd like to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow's-

Ike: Nightmare.

You and Bianca look at Ike.

(Y/n): Yeah. Guess you could call it that.

Ike stands up while looking straight ahead.

Ike: No. I mean, Nightmare...

You both look at him more confused until it finally clicks and you follow his gaze. You both go wide eyed as you see Nightmare sitting on the other side of the bridge with his arms crossed and a smile plastered on his face.

Nightmare: Hello kids. Nice night out?

You step in front of Bianca with your arm out over her protectively. Nightmare stand up straight and slowly walks towards you three.

Nightmare: Ike. So good to see you again after you...Well...You know. ezalba em teS

He says the last part with venom as his eyes burn bright. Ike stands in front of you and Bianca.

Ike: If you're here to settle the score then you can surely wait till I drop the kids back home first.

You and Bianca look at Ike offended.

Bianca: Kids?

(Y/n): We're fighting beside you Ike.

Ike turns to you.

Ike: You don't have your weapons.

Ike quickly faces Nightmare again.

Nightmare: That little quarrel can sort itself out later. Right now, I'm here for those two.

He states while pointing at you and Bianca. Bianca grabs your jacket. Ike looks back at the both of you before looking at Nightmare.

Ike: ....Any of you know how to ride a bike?

He whispers as he bring his thumb up to his mouth and bites down on it hard. Enough to draw some blood.

Bianca: Why?

The blood then lights itself on fire on his finger.

Ike: When I tell you 'now'. You guys jump on Ifrit and hightail it to Beacon.

You look at him wide eyed before grabbing his arm.

(Y/n): What? Ike no, we fight along side you.

Ike pulls away and steps forward.

Ike: Not happening. Do as I say please.

He says before throwing the blood on the floor causing it to burst into a larger flame that turn into an yellow glyph. Nightmare gets distracted by this and stares at the flame.

Ike: NOW!

Ike charges at Nightmare and spear tackles him off the bridge.

(Y/n): Ike!

You rush over with Bianca at your side and look over the edge.

Ike starts punching at Nightmare's face with a flame enveloped fist which causes severe burns to the rogue Seeker's face. Nightmare kicks him off after head butting him in the nose however Ike brings himself back up-close to Nightmare by wrapping his chains around the black haired male and pulling himself back to him. Ike then places his feet on Nightmare's chest as they both reach the highway below but hit a truck, causing the vehicle to swerve and come to a sudden stop. A few cars quickly pull over and get out of their vehicles.

The two boys are seen laying down on the ground covered in red and black blood. Nightmare's eyes had gone dull and lost their glow as he had his arm broken, his face half burnt and his left leg was twisted while Ike had just dislocated his right shoulder and was holding it in pain.

Bianca looks at the bike to see it has spawned. The bike was a black Harley with orange flame like streaks that ran along the top. The handles were shaped like metal horns that were connected to the metal skull on the front of the bike that resembled some sort of demon.

Bianca: Our ride's here.

You look at the bike and watch Bianca get on.

(Y/n): You can drive this thing?

You ask as you jog over.

Bianca: Yeah! It'll be just like riding a HVB Rhino back at Atlas. Only smaller and has wheels and.....doesn't run on gravity dust.

She says with a hint of nervousness as you hop on behind her. She revs the engine causing yellow flames to come out of the exhaust before she takes off.

People crowd around the two boys.

Civilian 1: Someone call an ambulance!

Civilian 2: Is anyone here a doctor?!

Ike crawls to the concrete barrier and looks at his arm.

Ike: Owowowowowow.....

He groans as he leans against the concrete barrier and takes deep breaths. The truck driver comes over and kneels down to him.

Truck driver: Don't move. Wait for the authorities and the ambulance to get here.

Ike ignores him and looks at Nightmare to see the his fingers twitch. Suddenly, Nightmare's eyes regain their glow as the burning on his face already begins to heal.

Civilian 3: What the fuck?

All the civilians back away as Nightmare's limbs start snapping back into place and he stands up straight and dusts himself off.

He hears an engine rev and sees Bianca and yourself already leaving the scene. Nightmare smiles and starts walking past the civilians causing Ike to stand up slowly. He looks at his arm and goes to a light pole and grabs onto it before slamming his dislocated arm against the pole making a loud pop amd cracking sound which causes him to scream in pain.

Nightmare sees him recovering. Their eyes lock and Nightmare decides to go into a full sprint after you with Ike giving chase.

You look over your shoulder and down at the highway below.

(Y/n): Umm. Okay so he's very fucking fast!

Bianca revs the engine and speeds up.

Ike and Nightmare jump over cars and eventually onto another section. Ike starts firing bolts of fire at Nightmare. Nightmare however just side steps away from each one. He sees you both getting away and growls before leaping towards the highway section you were on.

You look back to see him jump fifty metres in the air towards you.

(Y/n): Shit.

You pull out your scroll and start to call Ozpin.

Meanwhile, Ike jumps after Nightmare but transforms into his phoenix form and flies after Nightmare. Nightmare looks behind him and smirks. Suddenly Ike gets tackled by another bird, causing him to crash into the highway.

Ike looks up to see a Nevermore only it had its face melted off along with its chest area and apart of its left wing, showing nothing but bone. The only thing showing it was really alive was the yellow glow in its eye sockets.

Ike: Nope!

Ike thinks as he immediately breathes fire at it causing the Nevermore to back away.

Meanwhile, Nightmare landed on the gravel of the highway and sprints after you.

(Y/n): Hello?!....Oz can you hear me?!....Listen I-....I know it's late but listen! Nightmare is giving chase right now!.....I said Nightmare is giving chase right now! We're on our way back to beacon!

Bianca: Tell him to get Ironwood and some men ready at the gate!

Bianca yells back at you.

(Y/n): Get Ironwood and some of his men to meet us at the gate!....The gate!

You hang up.

(Y/n): I hope he heard me!

You shout and look behind to see Nightmare gaining on you. You both eventually reach the streets of Vale. Bianca grits her teeth.

Bianca: Hang on!

She pulls into oncoming traffic which causes you to hold on tightly. Nightmare sees this and jumps up to the roof of a building starts jumping from building to building.

He gets closer and eventually jumps towards you. However, Ike appears again, grabbing Nightmare with his talons and carrying him up into the sky.

(Y/n): Yeah Ike! Get his ass!

You hear a screech and look up to see Nightmare's mutated Nevermore nose dive towards you with its bonelike talons ready to grab you too.

(Y/n): Bianca!

Bianca looks and quickly reaches into her pocket and throws one of her Ofuda into an alley. She puts another on the bike.

Bianca: Please work.

She puts her hand on the Ofuda and concentrates as you hold on.

Suddenly a green light envelops you both and the bike as you teleport to the Ofuda that Bianca threw in the alleyway. This sudden trick makes the mutated Nevermore crash into the street causing the cars to stop and civilians to flee at the sight of the horrific bird.

Back with you and Bianca, you both exit the alleyway on the other side and proceed onwards to beacon.

Nightmare sees this and summons his katana and slices at Ike's leg causing the boy turned phoenix to let out a pained screech and let go.

The mutated Nevermore looks up and squawks before climbing up a building and then taking off after Nightmare who flips and lands on the Nevermore's back.

Nightmare: meht esol t'noD, Nachtkrapp!

The Mutated Nevermore named Nachtkrapp screeches and chases after both you and Bianca. Suddenly he's fired upon by Atlesian Gunships. Nightmare looks up and growls.

Nightmare: Atlas....

He stand with his hair, red scarf and cloak blowing in the wind. He smirks and raises his hand which causes the Nachtkrapp to raise its altitude.

Atlas soldier: What is it?

An atlas soldier asks as he leans over the pilot.

Pilot: It....looks like a Nevermore but...zombified?

The pilot questions what he's looking at as he leans forward.

Nightmare smiles as he jumps and finds himself rapidly approaching the Gunship.

Soldier: Holy shit!

Nightmare summons his katana and points it towards the windscreen before smashing through it and impaling the pilot. The soldier goes to pull out his pistol but Nightmare grabs the soldiers bottom jaw and crushes it. Blood and teeth splatter on the ships floor as the soldier grabs hold of Nightmare's arm but finds himself slipping as the Gunship rapidly descends towards Vale. Nightmare kicks open the door and jumps out as the ship heads right towards a building. Ike however swoops in and grabs the ship before gently placing it on a roof and continues his chase.

He sees Nightmare crash into a building, using his right hand in its dark claw form to slide down the building. Ike dives down but gets patched onto by the Nachtkrapp again which sends them spinning out of control and crashing into a building.

Nightmare gets back onto solid ground and smells the air. He looks towards the end of the street to see you and Bianca pass. He starts the chase again while reaching into his pocket and pulling out the nightmare Grimm in its cocooned state.

Meanwhile~

Yang and Blake arrive at the gate and show their student I.D cards. The guard in the security office buzzes them in. As the gate slowly opens and the engine on Bumblebee quiets down. Blake takes this opportunity to talk as Yang would most likely leave straight for their dorm the second she parks Bumblebee in the garage.

Blake: Yang....about tonight-

Yang: Don't!

She snaps. Blake's bow tilts forward slightly as she cringes at her teammates sudden outburst.

The gate opens. Yang moves forward but is greeted by Ozpin, Ironwood and a few Atlesian soldiers.

Blake: What's going on?

Ozpin: Please return to your dorm room immediately Miss Belladonna and Miss Xiao Long.

Ironwood steps in.

Ironwood: We may need them Oz.

Ironwood looks at the two.

Ironwood: Mr Hunter and Miss Jewel are being pursued as of this moment.

Yang and Blake look at each other.

Yang: By who...?

They hear a bike engine rev as you both come around the corner.

(Y/n): Hold the gate!

Everyone turns their attention to you and Bianca as your speeding towards the gate.

Blake: There they-

She cuts herself off as she sees Nightmare only a few metres from them on foot. Blake and Yang's eyes widen.

Blake: W-What? T-That's not possible..

Yang: I thought you said (Y/n) and Bianca got him?!

Blake recalls back at the village when she saw Nightmare get shot in the head. She shook her head and looks at Yang.

Blake: They....did. I swear they did.

You look over your shoulder to see Nightmare beside you. He smiles maliciously as he holds out his hand revealing the nightmare Grimm.

Nightmare: meht kaerb

The Grimm springs to life and latches onto your back causing you to gasp and go limp. Nightmare stops running and slowly walks towards the gate all calm and casual.

Bianca notices you leaning down hard against her back and finds it hard to keep balance.

Bianca: (Y/n)?! What's wrong?

She eventually wipes out just a few metres from the gate. She groans but sustains no serious injury thanks to her aura. She looks at you and sees you still laying down unconscious.

Bianca: (Y/n)!

She crawls over to you and picks you up by your arms and drags you to the gate. She looks forward to see Nightmare slowly approach. He smiles but that fades as he gets shot by Ironwood then by the rest of his small platoon of soldiers.

Nightmare raises a dark hand from a shadow and uses it to block the shots.

Bianca: Help me here!

Blake looks at Yang who's already come to Bianca's side and starts dragging you to the gate.

Yang: He's completely gone dead weight! What happened?!

Yang shouts trying to be louder than the shots being fired.

Bianca: I don't know! He was holding onto me then suddenly he just went limp!

Bianca responds.

The soldiers eventually run out of ammo. The dust starts to clear showing no sign of Nightmare or the giant shadow hand.

Bianca and Yang get you back onto academy grounds and check on you. Yang holds ear against your chest while Bianca holds your hand.

Yang sighs in relief.

Yang: He's still alive.

Bianca sighs in relief however she sits you up. Ozpin kneels down to you and the girls.

Ozpin: Let's take him to the infirmary.

Suddenly, the Nachtkrapp landed behind everyone causing the soldiers to fumble with their weapons as they tried to reload.

Ironwood: What is that?!

Ike slams into the Nachtkrapp and holds one of his talons at the Nachtkrapp's head then breaths fire into its open chest area causing the entire thing to burst in flames before evaporating into black ash.

Ike transforms back into his normal form. He has scars all around his body and a deep cut on his leg. He falls over onto his knees and takes a deep breath.

Bianca: Ike! Are you okay?!

Ike looks up at Bianca and gives a thumbs up. He limps towards the group and looks down at you.
