Time (10:30pm)~

Glynda Goodwitch lowers you onto the bed with Ozpin, Ike, Bianca, Yang and Blake following behind closely. Ozpin was on his scroll talking to Ironwood.

Ozpin: I don't care if the search goes all night. I want to make sure that the school is safe.

Ironwood doesn't respond for a few seconds before speaking up.

Ironwood: Understood.

He says before hanging up.

Ozpin puts his scroll away and goes to you and sees Bianca trying to shake you awake.

Bianca: Please wake up (Y/n)! Your scaring us!

Ike kneels down and looks at Bianca.

Ike: Bianca. What happened?

Bianca: Like I said to blonde over there! I don't know! He was holding onto me, Nightmare ran next to us then the next thing I know, he goes completely limp!

Ike goes to your eyes and opens them seeing your (E/c) orbs. Ike sighs in relief.

Ike: Okay good news. Nightmare didn't get into his head.

Bianca sighs in relief looks at you again.

Bianca: Why isn't he waking up then?

Ike takes his hands away from your face then notices something running along your neck.

Ike: What the hell is that?

Bianca looks at Ike.

Bianca: What?

She asked in a worried tone.

Ike: Bianca, turn him on his side.

Bianca does as Ike says. The blonde boy lifts up your shirt and goes wide eyed.

Ike: Ooh...

He cringes at the many purple veins around your back that were spreading to your entire body.

Ozpin: Oh no.

Ike looks at him. He notices Yang, Glynda and Blake's distraught faces.

Ike: What is it?!

Ozpin grips his cane tightly.

Ozpin: It's a Nightmare Grimm.

Ike's eyes widen.

Ike: A what?!

Yang: A Nightmare. It's a possession type Grimm. It traps people into their nightmare's and drains their aura.

Blake: Weiss and Jaune got taken by them a while back.

Ike shook his head and faced the headmasters and students.

Ike: Okay...? How do we get it out.

Ozpin looks down. Ike sees this and shook his head.

Ike: Don't do that. There's a way right? How else did you save Weiss and Jaune then?

Ozpin: Unfortunately the only hope of getting it out is half way across the world from us.

Ike: ...What?

Ozpin puts his hand on Ike's shoulder.

Ozpin: I'm sorry Mr Light but...it would have to be a miracle to get Mr Hunter out of this state.

Ike looks down despairingly as he looks at you again. His hand clenches as he goes to you and sits down. Bianca looks at him with tears in her eyes. The realisation hitting her that she's lost someone else she cared about again.

???~

Your eyes flicker open as you began to awaken. You see that you're in a hospital bed.

(Y/n): Ugh...What the hell...?

You sit up and kicks your legs off the side of the bed.

You look down to see you're in the same clothes from your date with Bianca.

Actually, now that you think about it.

(Y/n): Bianca!

You dig into your pockets but can't find your scroll.

(Y/n): Must be at reception.

You got to the door and open it. As you walk through your blinded by a light. When your vision returns to normal, you see that your bow outside in the courtyard of Beacon Academy.

(Y/n): Umm..What?

You look around before starting to walk.

(Y/n): Hello? Anybody here?

You shout out to...well, anyone. You check classrooms and the cafeteria. Even knocking on dorm rooms to see if anyone answers.

(Y/n): Where is everyone?

You walk along the courtyard and reach the statue in the centre. You lean against it and slide down into a sitting position.

(Y/n): Jasper, Star. What do you think?

No answer from them. You sigh.

???: Lonely isn't it?

Your eyes widen as you look to your right to see a dark figure with bone like appendages sticking out of his elbows and a deer skull mask. You stand back up as he grabs you by your waist pulling you close. You try to push him away but he's much stronger. He spins you around and pins you against the wall. He places an arm on the wall above your head.

???: How pathetic for a Hunter to die like this. Succumbed to a possession Grimm. One that makes a fuck circle for other Grimm as well.

You kick the figure in the chest then punch him in the face. This only resulted in hurting your hand.

The figure throws you to the ground and stands over you.

(Y/n): What the hell are you?!

The figure crouches down.

???: I'm hurt. Only been around your family for the past sixty years. You'd think they'd have me written down somewhere on the family tree by now.

You look at him even more confused. He sighs and stands up straight, putting his hands behind his back.

???: Very well. Allow me to introduce myself. You may call me Vex.

You stand up and look at Vex up and down.

(Y/n): Okay...'Vex'. Where the hell am I.

Vex: Like I said. You were possessed by a Grimm. Right now it has you trapped in your own little world in your head.

You look around.

(Y/n): You're full of shit.

Vex chuckles and shook his head.

Vex: Classic for a Hunter to not look at the bigger picture. You just need the truth slapped into you.

(Y/n): Wha-

Your cut off as he quite literally slaps you. This causes the atmosphere and scenery to change. The sky became grey and the area was covered in fog with some of the buildings and pillars damaged.

(Y/n): Oh shit.

Suddenly, the same bird that chased Bianca, Ike and yourself appeared and screeched loudly at you.

(Y/n): Oh shit!!

You run off, hearing Vex laugh hysterically at you with his arms crossed.

You keep running, eventually making it to the amphitheater. As you were about to touch the door. Roots began to grow over the door which caused you to back up. The door then swung open revealing a Cerberus Grimm. All six of its eyes land on you and roar in your face. It goes to swipe at you but you duck and then roll away from it before going into a full sprint.

You reach the cafeteria and close the door behind you. You start grabbing some tables and chairs to barricade the door. After that you back away from the door and hide under the table. You hold your breath as you see the Cerberus look through the window trying to spot you. It exhales through one of its nostrils, fogging up the window before leaving.

You take a deep breath and crawl out from under neath the table. You look around, trying not to trip on anything in the dark. Suddenly, a light turns on behind you. You look to see Nightmare with his hood on.

Nightmare: Was wondering when I'd see your face.

(Y/n): You!

You instinctively reach for your weapons, only to remember that you don't have them on you.

Nightmare: Now now. No need to be hostile in front of family.

Nightmare calmly states. You look at him confused before the lights turn on showing him sitting with Your Dad, Sister, Mum and Grandfather.

(S/n): Big brother! You're here!

(D/n): Good to see you son.

(GD/n): Have a seat. We were just having cake.

(M/n): Please do. We've missed you so much.

You look at your 'family' with a shocked expression.

Nightmare jumps up on the table.

Nightmare: You have such a wonderful family. They were just telling me about themselves.

He crouches  in the middle between your Dad and your Grandfather.

Nightmare: You're Grandad (GD/n) and your father (D/n) were just telling me of their huntsman days. Oh, the thrills they've had and the things they've seen. I'm envious.

He stands and walks to your mother as you just stare on unable to comprehend what your seeing.

Nightmare: Oh! Your mother. I can tell where you get your looks from.

He growls at her in a flirting way causing her to giggle and making you gag a bit.

He then walks over to your sister.

Nightmare: Oh. And this little precious cinnamon roll. She was just telling me how much she wanted her big brother to become a famous huntsman like the ones from her hero books.

Nightmare and everyone else's smile fades as the cloaked male stands up.

Nightmare: She was also telling me how scared she was when you never showed up to say your final goodbyes.

Your heart sank as you look at your sister who just looks away.

(Y/n): I was in a coma!

Nightmare puts on a facade of acting shocked.

Nightmare: Oh no! You were?! Oh how...tragic.

He looks at you before standing on the end of the table, looking down at you.

Nightmare: You should never let anything stop you from seeing family.

You grit your teeth as he turns his back on you.

(Y/n): What would you know?!

Nightmare flinched.

(Y/n): You're a monster that kills without remorse! You killed all of Bianca's teammates and for what?!

Nightmare looked at you slowly.

Nightmare: Not true. I killed two. The third took her own life which was her own problem.

Your heart started to beat fast as your face turned red with rage. You jumped at him only to be held at gun point by your dad who had his assault rifle combined with a polearm.

(Y/n): D-Dad...?

(D/n): Why couldn't you say one last goodbye to me on my final day...?

You get kicked in the face by Nightmare who then jumps off the table.

Your grandfather grabs you by the arm and slams the hilt of his Axe combined with a flamethrower, into your stomach.

(GD/n): Why couldn't you make the time to see me in Atlas before my passing?!

He swings at you but you push him away, just narrowly dodging the swing.

(Y/n): All my funds were going to (S/n)'s treatment! I was lucky enough to stay in beacon by month six.

(S/n) came next to you and kicked you in the face.

(S/n): What was the point of the treatment if it didn't work?! What was the point if you weren't even gonna be there when I passed?!

You block a kick from her but your father shoots you in the side, causing you aura to flicker.

Reality~

Your aura flickers causing Bianca to look at you with her ears drooping.

Ike puts a hand on her shoulder while Ozpin looks down and Yang cries in Blake's shoulder. A sudden wound is cut into your stomach.

Bianca: What the?!

Ozpin looks up and sees the wound.

Ozpin: What..? How can that be? The Grimm shouldn't be damaging him on the inside.

Ike looks at the wound before it hit him.

Ike: Bianca. You said Nightmare ran up next to you and that's when (Y/n) suddenly fainted?

Bianca nods which causes Ike to ball his hand up into a fist and hit the bed with his knee.

Ike: Shit. It's not a Grimm that's in there. It's one of Nightmare's mutants...just like that Cerberus and the Nevermore.

Bianca goes wide eyed.

Bianca: What?!

Ozpin: Are you saying he's not going to be turned into a breeding ground for the Grimm?

Ike nods his head at the headmaster.

Glynda: There has to be something we can do?!

Ike: I hope there is. Cause (Y/n)'s going to get torn apart if he takes anymore damage.

Mind scape~

You were stopping Nightmare's blade from going deeper. Nightmare laughs hysterically. You get angry and punch him in the face causing the hood of his cloak to come off as his head recoils back. He slowly looks at you revealing that he has one big golden eye.

You gasp as you feel the blade enter deeper and is then suddenly pulled out.

You fall to the ground and gasp for air. Vex appears again and kneels down to your level.

Vex: Finally. The last of your bloodline, put to rest. I didn't even need to lift a finger with you.

You look at him and take in his words.

(Y/n): W-What?

Nightmare didn't seem to pay any mind to Vex's existence. Vex disappears and your mother comes to your side.

(Y/n): M-Mum...?

She smiles and stands up.

(M/n): How could I give birth to a son who would abandon his family?

You looked up at her, heartbroken by her words. She goes behind Nightmare with the rest of your 'family'.

Nightmare: Become one with Darkness (Y/n). Just like your family did. It's your destiny.

As he'd said those last words. Your 'family's' eyes turned gold like Nightmare's. A last haunting image as your dragged into a black pool with Nightmare and your 'family' smiling and waving goodbye.

You closed your eyes as the darkness enveloped your whole body. You hold the wound on your stomach and groan in pain. Vex's words still ponder in your mind.

(Y/n): So...my entire bloodline is destined to die...?

You say as your last words as your body goes limp and your vision goes blurry.

(Y/n): I'm so sorry (S/n), Bianca and you especially Ike. I'm sorry I couldn't save your brothers....

You close your eyes as you accept your fate.

.....

.....

.....

???: Jesus, don't give up now!

Your eyes open weakly as a light breaks through the darkness. Your eyes widen as your mouth gapes open slightly.

(Y/n): T-That voice.

Two hands suddenly appear from the light and reach for you. One hand had fingerless black gloves with brown sleeves along its arm while the other was normal but had red sleeves along its arm.
You reach out to them and grab them tightly as they pull you up out of the darkness and into the light.

You fall to your knees and groan in pain as your wound starts to sting again.

???: Here let me get that.

Your vision was still blurry but you could see a boy lean down to you and put his hand over your wound.  You gasped as you felt your wound start to close and heal. It didn't hurt you at all. Matter of fact, it felt like a massage.

Reality~

Bianca held your hand tightly as the purple roots spread more around your body. Yang looked down sad while Blake had her hand on Yang's shoulder with a sympathetic look plastered on her face.

Suddenly, Ike shot up.

Ike: Whoa! Look at that!

Everyone including the teachers look at Ike to see him pointing at something. The look at your wound to see it healing.

Glynda: What in the world...?

Ozpin adjusts his glasses and stands over you as the wound completely heals.

Ozpin: Odd...

He looks at your face.

Ozpin: What is happening in there (Y/n)?

Mind scape~

You feel the wound has completely heal up. You take deep breaths in and out. No stinging or pain. You were alright. For now.

You manage to get up into a crouching position and look around as your vision readjusts to your surroundings. You were no longer in the cafeteria. You see two figures standing in front of you. You look up at them.

???: You okay (Y/n)?

You hear a familiar cheerful voice from the figure on your left.

You look up at him to see a boy with burning man goggles on top of his dirty blond hair. His hazel eyes looking down at you.

(Y/n): Star?

???: Gave us quite a scare. Thought that would be it for all three of us.

You hear a familiar raspy voice. You look to your right to see another boy with red eyes and brown hair looking down at you.

(Y/n): Jasper?

They help you up and hold you steady.

(Y/n): How are you two...here?

Star: This is your mind scape. We basically live here for now, remember?

You sweat drop and rub the back of your head.

(Y/n): Oh, right!

Jasper narrows his eyes at you.

Jasper: You thought you'd be in here alone didn't you?

You shook your head.

(Y/n): Not completely true. I knew I was gonna be trapped in here with Nightmare.

Jasper: Yeah, AFTER he made himself known.

You stand up by yourself, cross you arms and pout.

(Y/n): I don't need to justify my thought process with you.

Jasper pinches the bridge of his nose.

Jasper: Ike's rubbing off on you. Don't be like him for god's sake.

You look around ignoring his last comment.

(Y/n): Where did Nightmare go?

Star puts his hands on his hips and looks around.

Star: Could be anywhere in this messed up version of Beacon.

Jasper puts his hand on the ground and focuses. He looks in front of him and sighs.

Jasper: Star. Try summoning your weapons.

Star looks at his brother before nodding and putting his hand out. A small light develops in his hand but then dims before disappearing.

Star: Aww..

Star closes his hand as it falls back to his side.

Star: Guessing you can't use any elements in here either.

Jasper shook his head confirming his little brother's theory. He then opens up the pouch attached to his pants as metal pieces come flying out and start to form into two curved swords.

Jasper: I can still control personal things it seems. Only problem is I can't fire any wind, water or fire arrows.

(Y/n): Arrows?

Jasper nods.

Jasper: To quote a saying on your world. It's also a gun....well in this case, a ranged weapon.

You circle Jasper while looking at the swords.

(Y/n): Where's the string?

Star cuts in.

Star: The string is wind made too.

(Y/n): Ooh~ you use the wind to shoot the wind..

Star taps the tip of his black shoes and gets into a starting position before running off into the distance and then immediately returning.

Star: Still fast too. If I had to guess, I would say that I have my strength as well.

You cross your arms.

(Y/n): Okay. So Jasper has his swords, Star has his speed and maybe his strength while I...have nothing.

You explain.

(Y/n): Hmm...Despite that....I'm cooking a plan.

Jasper looks behind you and goes wide eyed.

Jasper: Cook faster. Cause THAT doesn't look like a good sign.

Both you and Star look at the same thing Jasper is looking at and see a giant black tree start to sprout from the amphitheater.
