Time 10:25 am

A grey hooded man stood among the corpses of horses and cattle. A green bandana covering his mouth and nose from he smell of the rotting bodies.

Another boy walks behind him. Using the collar of his (F/c) shirt to cover his mouth and nose.

The boy began to speak but only muffles could be heard from him.

The man gives him a confused look. Amusing the boy to groan and lower his shirt collar and recoil back from the smell.

???: Monty oum. That smells terrible.

The man takes out a blue flask from his vest. He lowers his green bandana and takes a drink of the alcoholic content inside.

???: Mmm. So what did our guy say?

The man puts a hand over his chest and lets out a small cough.

???: Said him and his family heard noises at night. A giant golden eye looked into their house before slaughtering their animals. Ike. We've been looking and hunting this thing for a week, in the same areas. Every case has either been a king taijitu's, Goliaths, a pack of hungry Beowolves. For all we know we might have killed it when the village and surrounding area burst into flames.

Ike sighs and puts his flask back in his vest and stretches.

???: Well this one is our bitch. I guarantee it. Let's go get 'em (Y/n).

You nod as you both proceed to wander into the forest.

As you wander into the forest you pull out your scroll and look at your messages between you and Bianca.

How's it going?

We got another report around the area where we fought Nightmare. Checking it out.

Sure it's not gonna be another wild goose chase?

Hopefully it's our mutated grimm. Can't wait to come home and have a hot shower.

Any news on Nora and Jaune?

Nora just recovered today but Jaune is still out of it

You exhale deeply through your nostrils and place your scroll back into your pocket.

Star: Hey (Y/n). You like her don't you.

You blush and shake your head.

(Y/n): G-Getting a little head of yourself there Star.

Star: It's normal to have feelings about someone.

You chuckle at Star's response.

(Y/n): Yeah. Normal isn't on my resume these days Star.

Jasper: It's not because she's a half-bre- I mean faunas right? Never gonna get used to the analogy.

(Y/n): No! Of course not!

Ike looks at you. Your eyes land on him and you freeze in place.

(Y/n): That was loud wasn't it?

Ike nods and you just facepalm then cross your arms and look around awkwardly.

(Y/n): Let's just keep walking.

You walk forward and the trees begin to thin. There are houses in front of you. Abanodoned houses. Regardless they look pretty nice. Old relics most would call them.

(Y/n): That Cerberus has to be close Ike.

Ike looked around. He cracked his knuckles and takes a deep breath.

Ike: Its really quiet. Could be watching us.

You nod and take a look behind you and see nothing but trees.

(Y/n): Do you think it'll attack when we least expect it?

Ike shrugs his shoulders.

Ike: If it wanted us dead it would. Nightmare might be holding its leash still. He still needs those amulets around your neck.

You look down at the amulets and hold them in your right hand.

A few days ago before you went hunting for this Cerberus grimm. You tried to remove one of the amulets to give it to Ike. The way Ike described it. Looked like you were being split into four copies of yourself.

That's when he came to the conclusion that if all three we're removed. There would be a chance that they would kill you.

He didn't have to tell you twice.

Now here you were trying to find this Cerberus grimm. It had to be somewhere nearby.
A sudden howl echoed through the woods. You jump at the noise, your heart rate skyrockets as panic starts to set in.
Your grip tighten on the hilt of your pistols.

Ike places a firm hand on your shoulder causing you to tense up.

Ike: Got your back. Keep your hands on your Vulcans.

You take deep breaths.

(Y/n): I'm glad I invested in getting another Vulcan.

Ike looks around while chuckling.

Ike: Investing? Ironwood gave it to you cause I convinced him that two are better than one.

You laugh a little and pat Ike's hand.
(Y/n): You're right. And thanks by the way. For convincing Ironwood otherwise.

Ike shrugs and takes a swig from his flask again. His face turning red from the alcohol.

Ike: Anytime (Y/-

Ike is cut off after he is launched into one of the abandoned buildings by the Cerberus grimm after it arrived out of nowhere.

You stare wide eyed at the creature.
You can hear it screech and growl at you, its sharp claws scraping against the ground. As the grimm approaches. It raises its hand and prepares to swing at you. You duck under its arm and sprint away to the building Ike was thrown into.

The Grimm tries to grab you but you jump forward just narrowly dodging its grasp.

You find Ike to see him crying.

(Y/n): Ike! You okay?

You kneel down next to him and see him holding his flask which now was now had a dent in it and alcohol was spilt all over the floor.

Ike: That motherfucker broke my flask.

You roll your eyes and lift him up.

(Y/n): We'll fix it after.

Suddenly the roof of the abandoned house is torn off. The three headed grimm looks in and growls.

Ike's hair develops into a yellow flame as his face shows an intense expression of anger.

Ike: Fuck you.

He puts his hand out as a wave of yellow fire strikes the grimm causing it to retreat from the house. Ike jumps out of the house covered in a yellow fire while you come out and run at the Grimm with both your Vulcan pistols drawn and firing into it. The bullets bounce off its bone-like armour leaving small holes in it but it doesn't make any attempt to retaliate. It only then starts to retaliate after you reloaded your pistols and try to aim at it's heads. It dodges every time.
The Grimm gets too close for comfort. You shoot it again, this time in the knees then one of its arms.

It falls forward into the dirt. At this moment, Ike's chains fall to his sides, engulfed in his yellow flame and smirks as he runs at the grimm.

He wraps a chain around one of its heads and pulls. The head comes clean off causing the remaining two heads to howl and whimper. It lifts itself off the ground but before it can recover, Ike's chain wraps around its torso. He spins the Cerberus around making you prone onto the ground. The chains let go of the Cerberus causing it to fly in your direction.
Its claw shoots out to grab you. Luckily it misses.
You load an explosive round into one of your Vulcan's before raise it and takes aim before taking a shot. This causes a small explosion, blowing apart of its body.

You smile at this but that smile fades as you see the Grimm wobbling towards you on its hind legs.

(Y/n): Half it's body blown off and it's still willing to fight. Really does have a little Nightmare in him.

You transform Vulcan into its knife forms. With a quick flick you throw one of the blades at its head. Unfortunately it barely grazes it causing it to roar in pain and rage. Another blade is thrown and hits it square in the chest. It roars and walks towards you. Ike looks at your other blade that deflected off the Cerberus's left head and runs towards it.

The Cerberus notices Ike and roars.

(Y/n): Hey!

The Cerberus looks at you again only to see you with a dark aura around you as you jump at it towards your knife. You grab onto it while holding onto its exposed rib cage. You yank the knife out then stab the left head causing it to let out a yelp before going limp and the middle head roaring in pain.

Ike grabs the second Vulcan and looks at you.

Ike: (Y/n)!

You look at Ike as he tosses you the second Vulcan and you grab it.

(Y/n): I can handle myself!

You bring the Cerberus down on its knees by pulling hard on its rib cage, eventually cracking it. Ike then wraps his chain around the last heads neck and holds it in place as you flip your knife spin it around then lodge the blade deep into its skull. You hear a whine from it before it's whole body goes limp and starts to disappear on the spot. You spit and scoff at it.

(Y/n): Trash.

Ike's yellow flame dispersed from his body as did the dark aura around your body.

Ike's chains retreat back into his sleeves. He walks over to you and looks you dead in the eye.

Ike: When did you start doing that?

You shrug.

(Y/n): Let's just say...I've got in touch with another power after our fight with Nightmare.

Ike raises a brow.

Ike: Considering Nightmare used it to get out of you. Is it wise to weaponise it for yourself?

You look down at the Cerberus' body, still in the middle of disappearing. You couldn't say for certain if it was safe. You did know however that it gave you a boost in strength and resistance. It did cause you to lose yourself in anger however. That was the only con. You look over at the Vulcan blade still lodged into the left head. You pick it up and sheathe both into your belt.

(Y/n): Let's head home Ike.

Ike nods and crouches down into a fetal position before being enveloped in flames. You block your face from the small explosion as Ike turns into his pheonix form. He only grows about twentyfive feet and flies up. His right talon grabs you as you lifted your hand up for him.

(Y/n): All we need to worry about now is Nightmare!

You yell up at Ike who screeches in response.

You look back at the forest and then back in the direction of the city.

(Y/n): Wherever he may be...

Last night (9:30pm)~

A Schnee dust company owned ship transporting dust was currently docked at Vale's ports. ten Atlasian soldiers were guarding the port. Some were patrolling along with two security guards. They were currently walking back and forth with their weapons drawn ready to fight any intruders.
One of the guards suddenly stops when he sees something. He raises his weapon.

Soldier: Captain!

A youthful woman with a scar on her lip comes next to the soldier and narrows her eyes at where the soldier was looking. The water.

Soldier: You see that?

The soldier points out something black moving towards them.

The woman narrows her eyes.

???: Blackjaw?

Soldier: Don't see a fin.

The black creature dives under the water. The young woman whistles at her soldiers and motions them over to her position and signals to two others to clear the ships crew out of the area. Every soldier including her except for the two soldiers who were getting the workers to safety, readied their rifles and aims at the water.

???: Prepare yourselves.

Some of the soldiers wait patiently while others shuffle in their spot.

Then out of nowhere, something lifts the Schnee ship up.

Soldier: What the hell?!

Soldier 2:Holy shit!

The crates still full of dust began to fall off the ship.

???: Run!

The crates begin to explode. An unfortunate soldier was caught in a blast of ice dust and was encased in ice. The rest of the soldiers scattered and fled the scene to try and escape the danger. Only one Soldier didn't move nor take any notice of the explosions. He sees the captain enter a hanger with three other soldiers and books it towards them. As he runs he sees the silhouette of a large creature with three heads with each head having a long neck, tower over the port. It let out a demonic screech before retreating back into the water. The soldier enters the hanger and pants.

Soldier: What the hell was that?! Was that a grimm?!

???: I've never seen a grimm like that.

The commander admits. She then looks out a window and gestures for the soldiers behind her to stay back.

Soldier: What are the chances that we would come across a grimm here of all places?

As they all asked questions to one another like 'should we call back up?' 'should we run?'. They didn't notice a door creek open. Suddenly the lights switch on.

???: What the- Who turned on the light?!

Suddenly, A familiar black haired boy appears on top of a shelf and jumps down onto one of the soldiers with his black bladed katana in hand.

He slashes through the soldier's stomach causing the soldier to drop his weapon as his stomach spits open and his entrails fall to the floor.

???: Huh?!

Soldier: Who in the hell?!

Soldier 2: Oh shit! Its him, the one Miss Jewel warned us about!

The commander looks at the soldier then at the boy who stands up straight over the lifeless body.

The commander grits her teeth.

???: Nightmare.

Nightmare's gaze falls upon the commander and her remaining team. A sinister grin plastered on his face.

???: Kill him!

The commander orders as they all begin to open fire on the black haired male.

Nightmare dodges a couple of their bullets before running around them until eventually going behind cover.

They keep firing until their weapons were empty. As they began to reload, Nightmare quickly rushed a soldier and withhis katana, he plunged it deep into the soldiers heart causing the soldier to go wide eyed and puke blood. Nightmare looks at another soldier who almost loaded his weapon and looks at his shadow. His eyes glow and the soldier's shadow forms into a spike and stabs the soldier in the head causing him to instantly die.
Nightmare pulls his sword out of the soldier and drops him on the ground. He looks at the last soldier and quickly grabs one of the rifles and shoots him right between the eyes killing him instantly.

His eyes then land on the commander who manages to reload her weapon and points the rifle at her. He fires a shot at the commander's legs and successfully lands a direct hit. The commander groans in pain after falling back onto her knees and dropping her weapon.

Nightmare throws the rifle away and walks towards her. He watches the lady commander as she crawled to her weapon. She only just manages to get her hand on the grip before pulling the rifle towards her.

Unfortunately she was stopped after Nightmare put his foot on the gun to stop her. She looks up at him as he clicks his tongue at her.

He picks her up by the throat and pins her against a big metal shelf.

Nightmare: Surely you're not dumb enough to try and pick a fight after seeing how I easily took out your men.

She looks at him with anger in her eyes. Nightmare sighs.

Nightmare: I know that look. There's another girl out there that wants to kill me with the same ferociousness.

He stares down at the girl.

Nightmare: Listen...

He pulls on her coat to see her name tag on her coats right chest area. Yuri Cascade, is what the tag said.

Nightmare: Yuri...This shipment, what's left of it anyway, belongs to me now. My people need it more than that school for so called Hunters and Huntresses.

Yuri spits in his face. Nightmare's looks to his left while still holding her against the metal shelf. He uses his free hand to wipe his face after staring into nothing for two seconds then looks at her. His hand becomes enveloped in a dark aura.

Nightmare: Alright. Let me ask again. More...aggressive this time.

He puts his hand on her head and she gasps as he eyes become golden like his. He pulls her head to him and brings his mouth to her ear.

Nightmare: I'm taking the dust that hasn't been blown away and giving it to my people. Now, are you going to be a good girl and leave or will I have to break that fragile little mind of yours till you submit to my demands?

Yuri says nothing and simply nods.

Nightmare pulls away from her and places her down on the ground. His mouth adopts a smile as he lets go of her throat.

Nightmare: Good girl.

He pushes her gently towards the exit which she walks to lazily, almost like she was about to fall asleep.

Nightmare watches her go. Once she left, he exits the hanger and looks around the burning port and spots two containers that weren't destroyed. He looks at the moon through the smoke and claps his hands together as two giant hands rise from the shadows and picks up the container.

The giant grimm reappears from the water. Nightmare places the containers on its back before jumping onto one of its many heads and they both disappear into the night.
