We made it to the expo and Steve got some popcorn while he wasn't looking, I stole some. 

Steve didn't notice. Steve was like a brother to me, he and Bucky included me in everything which was fun and didn't look down on me cause I am a woman. While Bucky and I were different story. 

My mother used to call me huntress since I was super good at hunting stuff while living on a farm. My father was killed in an attack alongside my older brother. My mother and I were very close till when we moved to NYC and we moved close to Barnes family, she got very sick with cancer and passed away. I missed her a lot but luckily for me my aunt moved in as well and took on the mother role for me and allowed me to feel free and I had Bucky and Steve. 

I said, "Please tell me you brought a date for  Steve ". He smiled and said, "Yep Connie is bringing a friend for him". I looked down and said " nice". I never liked Connie or Bonnie, they were sorta mean to Steve. I knew Bucky was a ladyman and while I fell in love with him, he didn't for me. That didn't stop me from hanging out with the boys. 

We walked through the Expo, I didn't talk much and kept stealing Steve's popcorn. Bucky and Steve were talking again about Steve's love life. 

 Steve said, " really don't see what the problem is."

Bucky said, " You're about to be the last eligible man in New York". 

I said, " Bucky, you know girls make fun of him right". 

Bucky doesn't look at me and continues to talk to Steve. Steve took my hand in his saying thanks for trying. 

Bucky said, "You know there's three and a half million women here?"

Steve said, "Well, I'd settle for just one, and Victoria as well". I spoke in my second language which was Spanish " Sabes que amo a Bucky Steve"

Steve nodded. My father was Mexican and my mother was American. 

Bucky looked at us, not knowing what I said. He was a slow learner. Steve wasn't. 

Bucky said, "Good thing I took care of that." I rolled my eyes 

Connie said, "Hey, Bucky!" I saw Bonnie as well waiting for us. 

Steve said, "What'd you tell her about me?"

Bucky said "Only the good stuff". And ran off. 

I said, "You know I know someone who would like you for you". 

Steve looked at me and said, "Who". 

I smiled and said "Her name is Peggy, and she is my mentor, now come on, let's not keep Bucky and Connie waiting for your date" 

Steve Groad and we walk to join the group all of us walk in I started at everything and said " shit that is so cool". 

Steve said " Vic language". I laughed and said "Really Steve" 

A voice said "Welcome to the Modern Marvels Pavilion and the World of Tomorrow. A greater world. A better world."

Connie said "Oh, my God! It's starting!" She pulled Bucky and Bonnie to the stagury and Steve and I followed. Bonnie didn't acknowledge Steve. 

A woman said "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Howard Stark!". Howard came out on stage took off his hat and kissed the women. I knew Howard and he took out his nap neck and touched it on his lips 

Someone yelled, "I love you, Howard!" Howard smiled and said, " Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all?"

The women took off the wheels of the car and walked off, Howard spoke into the mic "Yes. Thanks, Mandy."

Howard who had moved the panel with all the buttons said "With Stark Gravitic Reversion Technology you'll be able to do just that." He pressed the button, and the car levitated. I was standing next to Bucky.

Bucky said " Holy cow."

The car got overheated and fell to the ground with a crash and Howard said " I did say a few years, didn't I?". Everyone applauded. 

 Bucky turned around and said Hey, Steve, what do you say we treat these girls... ". Bucky turned to me and said Vic, Steve is gone". I look back and we both walk off to see where Steve went. of course, I saw him at enlist place and said " Bucky he is right there". 

We walk behind Steve. And I look at Bucky and we walk up to Steve and Bucky gives him a light shove and says "Come on. You're kind of missing the point of a double date, We're taking the girls dancing". 

Steve said "You go ahead. I'll catch up with you."

Bucky said, "You're going to do this again?" He then turned to me and said Vic help me". I looked at both boys and said " Steve I get it, you want to fight but everything doesn't work, Bucky and I both promised your mum we would look out for you" 

Steve nodded and Bucky smiled at me. 

Steve said "Well, it's a fair. I'm gonna try my luck."

Bucky said, "As who, Steve from Ohio?"

I add " or Steve from California"

Bucky adds a lot of seriousness and worry to his voice " They'll catch you. Or worse, they'll take you and there is only how much Victoria can do to not make them press any changes. Steve looked at me. I never told him that I would go in and use my status as an agent not have Steve get arrested. 

Now Steve just looked at me and said " Vic". I jumped the gun and said "Steve  I Love you but  you know that I won't be able to help you when it comes to these changes"

Steve said " Look, I know you don't think I can do this and thank you Vic for saving me but I don't want you to put your job on the line. 

Bucky said "This isn't a back alley, Steve. It's war." I had never seen Bucky this worried before, I mean he knew Steve wanted help but Bucky always looked for Steve. Their brother bond is always there from day one. 

Steve said, " I know it's a war."

Bucky said " Why are you so keen to fight? There are so many important jobs."

Steve said "What do you want me to do? Collect scrap metal in my little red wagon?" 

Bucky said "Yes. Why not?"

Steve said, " I'm not gonna sit in a factory, Bucky."

I walked closer to them and said " Steve please, we just want you safe". 

Steve snapped " And I want to HELP like we two of you. 

Bucky said, " HEY don't get mad at her, she saves your butt more times". 

Steve said, " I am sorry Vic". I nodded. Bucky said we just ... 

Steve interrupted him and said " Bucky, come on. Men are laying down their lives I have no right to do any less than them. That's what you don't understand. This isn't about me."

Bucky said, " Right. 'Cause you got nothing to prove". I knew for a fact Bucky and Steve didn't enjoy arguing with each other. I said, " Steve please see where we are coming from it is not because we don't want you in the war, we are just scared". 

Steve said, " I know". 

Connie yelled at us " Hey, Sarge! Are we going dancing?" I look back to see Connie and Bonnie waiting for us. 

Bucky turned to them and said," Yes, we are". He turned back to Steve and Me and said "Don't do anything stupid until I get back." Bucky said, " Victoria coming". I said "Yep". 

Steve said, " How can I? You're taking all the stupid with both of you". Bucky smiled and went over to Steve and hugged him and said " You're a punk. 

Steve said, "Jerk Be careful". I went to hug him as well and said "Good lucky Steve". 

We walked away and Steve called out and said " Don't win the war till I get there!"

Bucky did mock stable and turned to me and the girls and said " Come on, girls. They're playing our song."

We went to the club and had great food and drinks. 

Bucky and Connie danced most of the night then Bonnie. Bucky came towards me and said, " Vic do you want to dance"? 

I smiled and said, " Yes but what about your fan girls". 

Bucky smiled "They left". 

I took Bucky's hand and he walked me to the dance floor and snipped me around soon a slow song came on and Bucky and I slowed danced and I looked into his eyes and said "What happened". 

Bucky looked at me and said "When dancing with Connie or Bonnie, I can't take my eyes off you and they walked out, listen, Vic, I always liked you more than anyone else, all those girls I had near me were too distracted me for you" 

I look at him and lead in and kiss his lips which taste amazing. Bucky kissed back without any hesitation and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me so passionately.
