2. Undercover

"Why would they meet up here?" I questioned as I watched people walk in sober and come out wrecked from the building. The music was blasting from within its walls and multicolored lights shot out like a lazer beam.

Aaron looked up from the file he was going over, "Newly turned and a great way to hide yourself from hunters."

"Yeah, but newly turns can't handle themselves for the first year of the transformation. Them meeting here would be too risky." I took a small sip from the scalding coffee, letting it burn my throat.

He hummed, "They must be desperate.. they might already know we're here."

"We just got in, there is no way.." I glared out at the club, as if it was mocking us.

"There maybe other things they're hiding from.. we won't know from sitting here."

I let the grin smack across my face, "Undercover?"

"Undercover." He nodded.

Body's swayed all around me and I melted into them, following the beat of the pounding music. I glanced over at dark haired man watching me, sending him a wink before moving deeper into the crowd to lose him. I dipped my hips and through my arms up, letting the adrenaline pump through my veins.

It only took a few minutes before rough hands gripped my waistline. The man smelt of whiskey, musk, cologne and a hint of blood. I could feel the scruff of his beard against my neck, "What's a blonde like you doing all alone?" He questioned before moving his lips to my neck.

I swirled from his grasp, barely keeping him from my neck. I pushed myself against him, hand snagging against a cool press of metal while I dragged my tounge up to his ear, "Why don't you keep me company then?" I whispered softly before moving out of the crowd, dropping the keys off at a table and made my way to the back, moving out the back door. The door never clicked closed and I spun around seeing him holding it in a tight grip, trying to hold himself back.

I held back from rolling my eyes, and bit my bottom lip instead, "You going to join or do I have to find someone else."

He let out a low grumble and moved from the door. I caught a pair of crystal blue eyes before it swung shut completely. I shook my head, ignoring them and focusing back on the brute making his way towards me.

Aaron better hurry the hell up.

The office was posh and consisted of black leather, white fur and glass. I hurry and made my way to the desk going through the contents on the top. Nothing stuck out, mostly just bills so I moved to the drawers, having to pick the locks on them. Still nothing. I cleaned my mess back up and moved to the black filing cabinets pushed against the wall, finding only paper work making me groan.

I took a glance around the room once more spotting a silver glimmer in the fireplace. I swept through the ash finding a small melted flash drive. Bullseye. I carefully picked it up and placed it in my plastic bag and moved to leave. Except the door knob jingled and I hurry and looked for a place to hide but their wasn't a single spot. I just tucked myself into a dark corner as the door opened and a young ravenette made her way inside. I pulled out my knife as she took a whiff of the room before letting out a small growl. She whipped around, her eyes a blazing jade green and a fang glistened against the lights.

"Who are you?!"

I smirked, "Would you believe me if I said I got lost on my way to the bathroom?"

He kept going for my neck but I forced myself to catch his lips with my own so he wouldn't get to his destination. He soon seemed to catch on to what I was doing and pulled away, giving me a smirk.

"Scared I might bite?" He chuckled darkly, eyes glazed over.

"I'm not a neck person." I demanded, wishing my hair was long and would cover me like it use to.

He lifted up a hairy eyebrow, "I can make you into one, you're just going to have to relax." He trapped me against me the alley wall, leaning down.

I glared at him crunching into myself as much as I could while my heart set off like a hammer against my rib cage. I gripped the cool glass bottle filled with holy water, ready to smash it into his face but a car horn going off and lights flashing made him jump giving me time to push him away and take off.

Aaron glared at me once I got into the car. He hit the gas, "I said get the keys and distract the oaf -not hump his leg!" He snapped, "Did he touch your neck at all?"

I ignored his first statement, he was too over protective, "No, I made sure. Did you get anything?"

He huffed, "I got a melted flash drive, hopefully Toby can figure out what's on it."

"What happened in there?" I asked cautiously.

His frown deepened, "If they didn't know we were here before they definitely do now."
