Uncle steve
I could have sworn I pushed the publish button yesterday- but oh well. Here ya go! My next update goal is in two weeks (August 21)
Todoroki POV
I forgot my water bottle in the locker room, so I was walking down the hall until I saw Killua and Gon running away from a black haired man with a pink streak in his hair.
How weird...
I closed my water bottle cap and followed them, hiding around a corner when I saw a detective pull out a taser and chase them.
Why are they being chased anyway?
I looked down the hall where they originally came from and didn't see anything which would help answer my question.
"UNCLE STEVE!?! I forgot about you!!" I heard Killua shout.
I gasped and hid away from their sight.
Killua has an uncle Steve?!?!?!?
Okay. Steve must be on Yui's side of the family since he is on the smaller side and not blonde like Allmight.
He had black hair like Gon. He must be the uncle Gon got the black haired gene from. But then there's also the pink streak of hair. I wonder if he has a kid...
If Steve does have a kid, then that would mean that Killua, Gon, and Izuku have another cousin.
Kaminari is their cousin, but there must be more right? I know that Yui's family is big. I just haven't found everyone yet. I found Steve, Minami, and Mito who are all siblings of Yui, but who else am I missing?
I need to ask Steve. He might have answers to my questions.
I looked around the corner again and noticed that Killua and Steve weren't there anymore. Tsukauchi was patting Gon's shoulder and was leaving. Once the detective was gone, I walked over to Gon. "I need to ask Killua something again. Do you know where he went?"
"Oh! Hey todoroki!" He smiled and waved.
"Call me dad."
"Oh... umm..." He seemed hesitant to call me dad. I guess it would take some time to get used to.
I sighed, not wanting to wait for them to warm up to me as their new dad. "I need to talk to uncle Steve. Where is he?"
Gon pointed down the hall. I said a quick thank you and ruffled his hair before jogging down the hall to catch up with Steve before he leaves.
I finally caught up to them. They were near the stadium exit.
"Hey!" I shouted, running up to them.
They looked startled to see me.
"I need to ask you a few questions." I told Steve.
Steve started nervously sweating and looked at Killua before turning to me, "Um okay, but I have to leave to go to work soon."
"Don't worry. I'll be quick."
"What's your quirk?" I looked at him head to toe. Yeah, there's no way he has a power up quirk he would have a bit more muscle. Power up types may be able to carry heavy stuff easily, but their body would still be working out and developing muscles. It's science.
Killua patted Steve's shoulder and answered before he could.
For some reason Steve looks nervous...
Maybe he is nervous about meeting me, Killua's new dad. Killua must have told Steve about that.
I wonder how he feels about it.
"His quirk is controlling limbs!" Killua said quickly.
"Interesting...." Maybe he was left out as a child since the majority of the rest of his family had energy quirks. Or maybe ...
"How does it work?" I asked.
Steve then added, "I can control the nerves that send signals from the brain to the body to do stuff. So I can force people to give me a high five." Steve turned to Killua who high fived him.
HE DOES HAVE AN ENERGY QUIRK! NERVES WORK WITH ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRICITY IS ENERGY!!
HE IS YUI'S SIBLING!!!
"Okay. You alredy say how my quirk works. I need to get going now. Steve said, walking towards the exit behind him.
I heard footsteps and a gasp from behind me. "D-dad?" I turned around and saw Hatsume from the support course who was also in team Pokémon.
"Hey... kiddo" Steve hesitantly said and alwardly waved.
"Y-you came back??" Hatsume asked, voice shaky. "O-Or are you just going to leave again? Like last time?? It was my birthday too! You promised!" She started tearing up.
"Um.... sorry?" Steve said.
I then intervened, "Is that the best you can do for your daughter?"
"Well what else can I do? I have a different love of my life now." Steve shot back at me.
"Ouch...." I winced for Hatsume.
Hatsume started crying more, "You've been with another lady all this time?? What about mom!? She loved you!!"
"I don't love her anymore." Steve shrugged. He looked at all of us awkwardly before turning away and walking out the door. "Bye again."
"How dare you, Steve." I seethed, as Hatsume wipes away her tears, trying to get over the fact that he left again.
Killua laughed awkwardly, "Um... I'm just gonna go now..."
So Steve is the heartbreaker of the family...
3rd POV
The battle between Shinso and Izuku got heated. Shinso was screaming at Izuku to do something already. To answer him. But things didn't work out quite well as Shinso planned. He knew that using his quirk to get Gons headband would become a disadvantage later on, but it's what got him this far. He needs to keep going.
Todoroki watched the battle rage on, listening closely. Suddenly Izuku stopped in his tracks. Shinso smirked and then said, "Walk out of the arena."
Todoroki raised a brow, not believing it at first. But then again there was Steve who could clearly force Killua to high five by using his quirk.
Todoroki gasped, "Could it be..."
Izuku turned around and started walking towards the end of the arena.
'Shinso and Steve bastically have the same quirk!! It makes complete sense!! Steve was cheating on Hatsumes mom, Donna. I know that for a fact. Steve admitted it. He was so scared of commitment that he slept with all these different women. He ended up getting Shinsos mom, Mihoko, pregnant the same year he got Donna pregnant. Now he lives in regret and sadness because he feels as if he can't go back to Donna anymore since he left without a word the first time. He keeps on making it worse too. He keeps finding Hatsume and promising things he won't follow through with like her birthday.
He probably left Mihoko too. After he figured out that there was going to be a baby, his mind went on red alert. He knew that if he started taking care of the baby, he would have to commit. So he did what he does best. Leave.
Suddenly Izuku flicked his finger, creating a shockwave. He blinked in confusion.
"Killer move!! He's really playing his cards right! He just got out of Shinsos brainwashing!!" Mic announced in shock. "I don't even know how he did that!!"
"No... how?" Shinso questioned, eyes widened in shock. "No ones ever done that before!"
Izuku started running towards Shinso.
"HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT!?" Shinso screamed trying to get another response out of him.
Izuku started pushing him backwards, running towards the end of the court.
Shinso punched him in the face and tried his best to fight back. He yelled at him, trying to get any sort of answer out of him to make himself stop but he couldn't. Shinso has planned to side step and push Izuku out but just as he lifted his right foot up, Izuku tripped him and pushed his forehead and chest back. He fell down with a thud on the other side of the line.
"THE WINNER OF THE FIRST ROUND IS IZUKU MIDORIYAAA!!!!" Mic announced and the audience cheered loudly.
As Shinso and Izuku both left the arena, todoroki was on his way to have an unexpected encounter.
3rd POV
"Up next is Tenya Iida versus Ochaco Uraraka!!!" Mic announces as they me their way to the arena.
In the stands, Izuku nervously bounced his foot, anxious about the fight between two of his close friends.
He muttered different ways the battle might turn out or how thier friendshil might be negatively affected. Killua was sitting beside him, half listening.
"No that cant happen..." Izuku breathed in, reassuring himself. "Something as little as that can't ruin it."
"What are you even talking about?" Killua questioned him curiously.
Izuku was slightly suprised at his question. "Oh was I muttering? Sorry... I was just wondering how thier friendship can be afffected by this." Izuku said with an akward laugh.
"It's just a fight. What's the worst that can happen?" Killua said, sitting up from his relaxed position in his chair. He looked out at the fight which had started. "Are they going to take every punch personally? Because that will just be sad."
Izuku shook his heat in disagreement. "No, I was thinking more along the lines of who gets defeated and how they will feel. They're friends battling to see who is a better fighter in a match. If Iida wins, then Uraraka might feel inferior and start disliking how he excels at things like that match, family status, and wealth."
"You think one match can change that much?" Killua inquired, starting to wonder if Gon would ever stop talking to him because he wins in a sparing match.
"There is a lot of reasons why a persons personality or thought process can change. It's possible that if Iida keeps showing her up and defeating her at life again and again, she might break." Izuku explained. "She might take that in the wrong way and become envious and not want to see that everyday, therefore not being his friend anymore."
Killua thought about the many times Gon and he spared together. Not once did they go as far to see who would win in a real fight. They've always tied.
Killua knew that if he and Gon won their first match, there was a chance they'd have to fight each other. The teachers decided to keep the fighting bracket a secret from the students so they would be more accustomed to fights without much preparation time since that's that happens in the hero biz.
They put the names of the the next fights players on a TV in the students stands. Every time a fight started, the would show the next battles players so they could make their way to the waiting room.
"And the winner is Ochaco Uraraka!!!" Mic screamed followed for a round of applause.
Killua turned his head to look at the stadium. "It's over already?"
"Let's see that move again!!" Mic said, pressing a button which put the winning move on the Jumbotron.
It showed Iida a foot away from uraraka, running almost at full speed. Earlier on, he had made her retreat towards the line behind her.
In once swift motion, she threw dirt in his face, aiming for the eyes. As Iida squinted in pain, she ducked away from the had that tried to grab her and side stepped away from him, using her foot to trip him and make him lose balance. He came plummeting down to the floor, his forehead over the line.
Izuku watched in amazement. "That was close. If he was an inch shorter or got any more control over his body then that wouldn't have worked."
Killua watched closely to see how Iida would react to her.
Lucky for him, he was trained to read lips to get information during assasinations. It doesn't happen often but sometimes the client asks if the zoldycks can tell them a detail about someone the target talks about a lot to see if they want to assasinate said person as well.
Killua had a hard time resting his lips because Uraraka kept on getting in his line of sight.
What he could make out was the words "game" and "tried".
'Damn that didn't help.' Killua huffed, leaning towards the side because Ayoyama walked in front of him to look at the fourth wall.
Killua watched Iidas body language as he walked to his side of the court to exit. He clearly looked upset and maybe even angry.
Killua gulped, not liking the outcome of that battle. 'Would Gon hate me if I beat him in a fight? Would he hate me if I lose? Will he think im too weak and cast me aside?'
—
"Up next is Momo Yayorozu Versus Tokoyami!! Fumikake" Mic announces.
Todoroki looked up at the TV nearby and saw his name on the screen along with Hatsume. He felt a bit bad, wondering if she will continue with the festival after the sad encounter with her dad, Steve.
He got up and walked to the waiting room. On his way there, he saw his father waiting in the hallway. 'That dirt bad shouldn't know I'm up next.' He thought, glaring down the hallway, refusing to make eye contact with him.
"You could have dominated the cavalry battle with the quirk I so kindly gave you." Endeavor said, watching as his son stomped down down the hallway. "Stop being rebellious and use it already."
Gon had stolen some chicken nuggets from the cafetiria and was making his way back when he saw todoroki with an angry expression. He jogged over, swallowing the chicken. He smelt someone with a similar fragrance to todoroki and looked up at endeavor as he caught up with the teen. The older man scowled at Gon, knowing how strong he was. But he wasn't going to let this small green boy ruin his chances of Shoto being number one.
"What's rebellious?" Gon asked Shoto as they walked past endeavor.
"Not now, son." Shoto shushed Gon and kept walking.
Endeavor blinked in confusion, "SON!?" He yelled, whipping around to look at them properly. Gon was walking beind todoroki slightly just as a child would do with their parent. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SON!?"
"Just SHUT UP ALREADY!" todoroki snapped, turning around to face his father. "YOURE A CRAPPY DAD!! WORSE THAN STEVE!! WORSE THAN ALLMIGHT!! ALL THAT THEY DID WRONG WAS RUN AWAY! YOURE KEEPING ME TIED AROUND YOUR LITTLE FINGER! YOU FORSE ME TO TRAIN TILL IM LYING LIMP ON THE FLOOR INFRONT OF MY OWN VOMIT. YOU TRY TO CONTROL EVERY ASPECT OF MY LIFE! YOURE TRYING TO CONTROL MY FUTURE. JUST STOP IT ALREADY AND LET ME BE MY OWN PERSON! IM A BETTER DAD THAN YOU AND IM FIFTEEN!!"
Endeavors jaw dropped. "You got someone PREGNANT?!" He screamed. "This is your kid!? Does he have a age speeding quirk or something??"
Gon cautiously tugged on todorokis shirt, "You know you're no-"
Todoroki looked over quickly and shushed him, "Not now."
Gon pursed his lips and looked anywhere else than at the Todorokis.
Endeavor scoffed. "You're an embarrassment to the Todoroki name!" Endeavor seethed angrily, fed up with his rebellion.
"Well if I'm such an EMBARASMENT then just kick me out!! Set me up for ADOPTION why don't you!?" Todoroki yelled.
"MAYBE I WILL!!"
"GOOD!"
Todoroki stomped off. Gon followed him akwardly since he was too scared to walk off on his own and be targeted by the big mans yelling.
After Todoroki calmed down, Gon started talking to him, "Y'know Killua has similar issues with his dad."
Todoroki raised a brow and kept listening. "He's been trained by his dad even though he didn't really want to. He's also had his future planned out for him by his family. He never liked that, so he ran away from his house."
Todoroki laughed to himself, knowing there was no escape from his dad. Being the number two hero means there are plenty of people that will help find the missing child. "I'd have to agree with that. Kenny is terrible. I hate dads that want to plan out thier kids futures. But unfortuaetly, its not that easy to run away from my dad if that was the advise you were trying to give me." Todoroki said, opening the door to his waiting room.
Gon looked at Todoroki in astonishment, "Killua told you his dads name?! When did he start talking to you?" Gon asked, exited that Killua was opening up to the people in their class.
Todoroki was happy that he was right about Kenny being Killua's dads name. At least it Gon made it sound like he was right. "Yeah. I knew his name."
The speakers then played loudly, "AND THE WINNER IS TOKOYAMI FUMIKAGE!!!"
"Looks like I have to go. Bye, son." Todoroki waved and shut the door, walking to the arena through the other door in the waiting room.
Steam came out of gons ears. "Bi-son? Cows?"
