(Not my art btw)

I'm moving the finish line to right after the mine obstacle instead of them crossing the starting line again.

Also thanks to the comment thread talking about when I update 😂 I didn't even realize that so many people from around the world read my story. It's a great accomplishment to me that I can proudly say that people around the world love the work I do. So thank you all! OwO

I'm in the Pacific time zone if you all were wondering. Enjoy the chapter!

Gon and Killua came across the next obstacle. It was The Fall. However, this couldn't be easier for Gon and Killua. Killua simply ran across while Gon did a mix of running and bouncing on the rope because its fun.

"Did they think this would scare us or something?!" Gon shouted to Killua since they were the only two there.

Killua made it to the next pillar, "I guess?"

"I wish there was an updraft! I want to fly again like we did with Menchi!" Gon shouted bouncing again and landing next to Killua.

"That was pretty fun. Maybe after we can go spend a day there when we're done with the game." Killua suggested.

"Sounds like fun! We can have lunch there too!" Gon smiled in excitement.

Gon and Killua completed the course with ease.

Killua asked gon, "Any idea when they built this?"

"No clue. I don't know how they had the money to build fake cities either. This Sports festival probably costs more than Whale Island." Gon said, running to the next obstacle course with Killua.

Killua wanted to retort and say he is wrong, but he did have a point. UA was throwing around money while Gon's island was small and didn't have a big economy. Heck, the people there farmed and fished for a living.

"I smell gunpowder up ahead. It's in the dirt for some reason." Gon said.

Killua put a hand up to shield the sun from his eyes, so he can make out what's on the dirt up ahead.

"Mines. I doubt they're deadly." Killua said, seeing the darker clusters of dirt. "They either purposefully hid them terribly or just don't know how to do it properly."

"You know how they work?" Gon asked curiously.

Killua nodded. "My dad let me play with small ones when I was little. They were a different version which just sends a powerful blast and not a deadly hit. I would set them up and jump on them. I would also prank piggy with them." Killua laughed at the memory.

'One time his head cracked open because he hit the ceiling so hard. Since I was mom's favorite, I actually got praised for my work. After piggy got staples in his head, he let out his anger on me. It was kinda funny though. He cried while doing it.' Killua laughed a bit and paused his running when Gon stopped. They were in front of the minefield now.

Gon asked, looking at how many there were. "The lady said that there are no rules right?"

"Well you can't kill anyone, but yeah."

"Can't we just go around?" Gon asked, pointing to the fence that surrounded the minefield.

Killua almost laughed, "Gon, since when were you a genius?"

Gon shrugged his shoulders and started walking to the fence. Killua followed and they both started to run. Sometimes Killua would jump over gon playfully.

"THESE TWO ARE SOMETHING ELSE! THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX AND EVERYTHING!!" Mic shouted. "BUT THEY BETTER WATCH OUT! OUR OTHER CONTESTANTS ARE QUICKLY CATCHING UP!"

The crowd cheered.

Killua and Gon made it to the finish line. Killua bowed playfully, "After you."

"Don't mind if I do." Gon curtsied and walked past the finish line.

"AND THE FIRST PLACE WINNER IS GON FREECS!!!" Mic shouted.

Killua watched as Todoroki and Bakugo made it to the mines. They seemed shocked to see Gon who already passed the finish line. Killua did a little dance to tease Bakugo, who was already enraged. He shot out explosions like crazy. "This is too fun." Killua laughed, seeing Bakugos enraged expression.

Killua then eyed a mine. "Why the heck not?" He stomped on one and was shot up in the air with an explosion of pink. "WOOOO!!!" Killua cheered, liking the feeling of flying. He was up higher than the trees without using nen or making an effort. It was really cool.

Before Killua started falling, he blasted nen to his feet and zoomed on over past the finish line.

"Uhh..." Mic didn't even know. For the past few minutes, he had a chance to pass the finish line, but he chose to tease Bakugo and step on a mine. "Killua is in second place!" He shouted.

Gon cheered, "That looked so fun! I wanna do it too!"

"You know you can just go back and step on one, right?" Killua asked.

"Oh...I forgot, hehe." Gon rubbed the back of his neck.

Gon and Killua then started playing with bombs, blasting themselves in the air.

Mic turned to Aizawa, "Aren't they interfering with the others finish scores?"

"If you want to be a hero, then you will have to undergo random, unexpected obstacles," Aizawa said. "They already finished and they aren't physically stopping anyone from passing the finish line, so I say its fair to let them play with the mines." Aizawa then put his hand over the mic, so it wouldn't project his next words to the audience, "Either way, I want to see how durable they are. This is one way to see it." Mic nodded and then focused more on the other kids, who were still on the course.

After everyone passed the finish line and went back to the stadium, Midnight explained which game they were playing next.

"The goal of the game is to collect the most points. The.rules of the calvary battle is that you can't make any attempts to throw a rider off their horse. If your rider hits the floor or you lose your points, you are still in the game. She explained, showing an example of a horse and its rider on the big screen behind her.

"That's dumb," Killua muttered, referring to the fact that they told them to take a horse formation, but there are no rules that say you need that formation so it doesn't matter.

Midnight continued, "Points will be given based on which place you got. Your team headband will be all your teammate's points added up, but there's something special in store for the first place winner that changes everything." The contestants looked at her with curiosity. "The first place contestant is worth a million points!"

Everyone's eyes turned to Gon.

Gon smiled, eyes narrowing. 'With everyone targeting me, I'll get a good fight.'

A few students were scared of this look. They all saw replays on the jumbotron of him and his silver-haired friend breezing through the obstacles and how they annihilated 5 zero-point robots with one hit. They knew they were not people to be taken lightly.

"Killua, Gon. Let me be apart of your team." Todoroki asked the two boys who stuck together. The half and half boy already had a hoard of people following him in hopes to be apart of his team. Their jaws dropped when they heard the words come out of his mouth.

He needs to know if his theories are correct. Having them in close proximity will give him valuable questioning time and he will be able to get more information on their quirks.

"You want to team up with us?" Gon asked in a bit of shock. He didn't realize that he needed an actual team in order to participate. It didn't help that everyone was avoiding him since he had the million point headband.

Todoroki looked slightly confused. "Yes. Why else would I ask?"

Gon smiled brightly. "Killua! We have a team now!" He shook Killua's arm excitedly. Killua smiled at Gon's dorkish behavior.

"Hey, can I be with your team? " Izuku asked Gon and Killua.

Todoroki's eyes went wide. 'THIS CAN'T BE MORE PERFECT!!'

"Of course!" Gon cheered.

Killua crossed his arms and let out a small chuckle. "That was easier than I thought it would be."

"So what's your guys' plan?" Izuku questioned.

"We're supposed to have a plan?" Gon deadpanned while Killua laughed at him with a smile. Izuku laughed awkwardly.

Todoroki frowned. 'I wish I had a good relationship with my siblings like those three.'

Killua then spoke up, "I have a plan, but most of what we're going to do is improv."

The group listened intently to Killua's ideas and plans, adding to it every so often.

Midnight then spoke, interrupting the contestant's meetings. "I forgot to tell you, but each team is allowed to make a name. You have ten minutes left."

All the teams chattered in excitement.

Bakugos team which had Kirishima, Jiro, and Sato was struggling to find a name. "Go out with a bang?" Kirishima suggested.

"Hell no." Bakugo snapped for the 5th time.

"Bakugo can't make decisions?" Jiro offered, laughing.

"SHUT THE HELL UP I AM NOT INDECISIVE! YOU GUYS JUST HAVE CRAPPY IDEAS!!"

Midnight shouted once more. "Time is up!"

"WHAT THE HELL?!? HOW ON EARTH HAS IT BEEN TEN MINUTES ALREADY??!?!" Bakugo yelled in annoyance.

"The audience is bored. So it's time to move on!!" Midnight announced. "Momo's team! Your up first!" She turned to the group with Hatsume, Kaminari, Shinso, and Momo. "What's your team name?"

Kaminari stepped forward, "Team Cool Pokemon."

"That's not what we decided, Kaminari!!" Momo shouted.

"WELL, I FORGOT OKAY!?!" Kaminari shouted making Shinso facepalm.

"Why did I even agree to be in this group?" Shinso rubbed his temples in annoyance.

"Because I'm hot." Kaminari waggled his eyebrows at the boy.

"No," Shinso shot him down.

"Okay team Cool Pokémon. Will the next group please say what their team name is?" Midnight asked.

While the other teams went, Momo made the mistake of asking why Kaminari named them The Cool Pokemon.

"Well, I'm clearly a Pikachu." Kaminari gestured to himself with pride. He then pointed to Shinso. "While you are either a Ninetails or Yamask."

"Why?" He asked, slightly curious.

"Yamask can control people when they put their mask on their opponent's face. While Ninetails can control them when they look into its red eyes." Kaminari explained.

Shinso was surprised for once. "That actually sounds accurate."

"What about me? Is there a pokemon that can create things like my quirk?" Momo asked, intrigued.

"Not really. There is a bunch of pokemon who make sweet or nasty scents." Kami laughed for a moment. "One of them is an actual bag of trash."

Momo frowned and looked down. He just called her trash...

Kami saw this and smiled, knowing he could cheer her up with a Pokémon up his sleeve. "There's also Mawile. They are pretty cute pokemon which has a huge black ponytail like you. But in reality, their ponytail is a huge mouth with sharp teeth that can crush its opponents." Kami explained, putting his hand up the sleeve of his P.E uniform.

Momo was not sure if she liked that comparison or not. "Kinda vicious don't you think?"

"But they have a plack ponytail like you. They also may seem cute at first, but in reality, they're a boss." Kaminari smiled at her then lifted up his leg so he could search the cuff of his pants. "Here it is!" Kami took out his arm from his pant leg, showing a Mawile sticker.

Shinso gave him a confused look and Momo laughed, grabbing the sticker that was handed to her. "She's pretty cute." Momo took the sticker off the paper and put it on her chest as one would do with a name tag.

Kirishima stepped forward to say their group name which was made last minute by Jiro.

"Trust me. It's a good name." Jiro crossed her arms.

"If we're shitty four-year-olds, then yes it is." Bakugo spat back.

"I won't say I told ya so when midnight likes it. Don't want to bruise that ego of yours. I'm not sure you will be able to take the damage." Jiro smirked with a challenging glare.

Kirishima then announced, "Our group name is Turn Up the Boom."

"Splendid name!" Midnight smiled in delight. "It includes many of the aspects of your quirks! So thoughtful!"

Jiro laughed at Bakugo's stunned look.

Sero laughed a bit, feeling kinda left out. They didn't really include his quirk, but it didn't fit the genre, so he could understand.

Jiro saw this and patted his shoulder reassuringly. "If I gave you a nice fit, then you would be the image of our band. You're a naturally aesthetic person."

Sero cried happy anime tears. "You really think so??"

"Dude chill. Crying is not aesthetic."

Sero wiped his tears away. "Okay." He then talked to himself, "be aesthetic." He put his hands in his pockets, put his feet shoulder-width apart and straightened out his back to make himself more pleasing to the eye.

Jiro almost bounced in delight when she envisioned him dressed fashionably. Her inner rock star and fashion queen coming to say hi. 'He could be superstar material after I give him a new fit and haircut. Maybe a beanie would work. Maybe momo can help me. The possibilities are endless!' Jiro thought

Jiro could have sworn she saw him sparkle in the sun. "Wait a minute." She looked upwind to see Aoyama gently throwing glitter into the air, towards Sero. "All queens have glitter, mon ami." Aoyama blew the rest of the glitter towards Jiro then ran away to go break more fourth walls.

"What the hell just happened?" Jiro asked herself in confused shock.

Midnight turned to the next group which had Iida, Tokoyami, Uraraka, and Ashido. "What is your team name?" She waved her whip in the air.

Uraraka and Ashido were whisper yelling at each other. "I don't know! We didn't make one up!" Uraraka looked around nervously.

"What am I supposed to do? She asked you!" Mins started pushing her in front of their group.

Uraraka fought back and wanted nothing more than to hide behind Iida, "But we didn't make one up! We never agreed on anything!"

Finally, Ashido was able to shove her in front of their group. "Just make something up!" Ashido cheered her in with a thumbs up.

"Uh..." Uraraka shuffled her feet anxiously.

Midnight, on her high stage platform looked down at the brunette. "Come on, cutie. What's your team name?"

Uraraka gulped and looked away from the intimidating woman. "Nyoom?" She muttered.

Midnight laughed before going with it. "Team Nyoom!"

Uraraka heard the audience laugh and darted back to her group.

"Nyoom?" Iida pondered, looking behind him in order to see Uraraka.

"I don't know! I saw an airplane! Airplanes go Nyoom!" Uraraka looked down, trying to block out the laughter. 'I made a fool of myself in front of the country!'

Ashido walked over and pay Uraraka back for comfort. "I think it's a cute name. And if you think about it, Iida's quirk does name him go nyooooom." Ashido made the sound effect while whooping her hand in the air as if it was a car speeding by.

"WHAT A RAD NAME!!" Mic screamed.

Aizawa tiredly butted into the conversation, "I wouldn't call it rad."

Mic was surprised he knew what rad meant, but then again they are high school teachers. "What would you call it then?" Mic inquiries.

"Cute I guess?" Aizawa said, unsure.

Ashido shook Uraraka giddily. "Even Aizawa agrees!"

Midnight then continued on to the first place group. "Next team please tell us your name!"

Gon stepped forward. He and Killua had little debate on what their name would be since it was based on something that meant a lot to them. It was what brought them together and is a part of who they are. They haven't said much about it and have overlooked what an accomplishment it was to be this. Most of all, they haven't yet shown their pride in being it.

"The Hunters." Gon said, proud and unwavering.
