Milkshakes

UPDATES EVERY FRIDAY!

If I don't publish on time then I'll either wait the following Friday or do it on the weekend. If there is a change in the update days or I take a break, then I will write it in the description of the story.

Fair warning, there is a lot of explanations here involving nen vs quirks. You might need to read slow to fully understand.

If something is confusing, then comment which part was confusing so I can fix it.

There is also a list/ bullet point recap of all the things they learned. If you need help understanding. It says in bold letters. "Based on everything we said, these points are accurate:"

Enjoy my inner superhero geek!

It was already about midnight when I got to the base. Luckily it's Friday, so I have plenty of time to work. It was dark and quiet. The wind softly howled, blowing fallen leaves around beautifully.

I walked towards the door of the bar in my assassin's outfit again. I knocked on the door before it opened automatically. That's odd.

I was going to close the door but the handle was missing. On the ground, I saw a pile of dust on the wooden floor. It must have been Shigaraki's disintegration. But why would he destroy the doorknob?

"WHERE DID YOU GO SHIGA?!" A feminine voice screamed making me wince.

"SHUT UP ALREADY!! IM TRYING TO SLEEP!!" I heard a guy's voice, but it was not Shigaraki or Kurogiri.

I stood there near the bar, listening to the stomping and continuous opening and slamming of doors. I walked over to the bar, jumping over the counter and looking for ingredients.

"Ah, here it is." I opened the freezer and got out the vanilla ice cream. "Now to mix it up." I don't want just plain vanilla ice cream. When you do it, you gotta do it right.

I walked over the pantry and found a man sleeping on the floor. He was wearing a back and white fabric mask. The white part covered the top of his head, only going to the bridge of his nose while the rest of the mask was black. He was wearing baggy sweatpants and a T-shirt from what I assume is an old band. And was crying? "You good bro?" I asked. He didn't respond. "Hey." I bent down and shook the guy.

He gasped and looked up at me. He must have been experiencing a nightmare or something.

"I'm Zoldyck. Do you want to help me make a milkshake?" I asked.

He rubbed his eyes and took a better look at me. "You're the assasin the boss hired, right?" He asked.

"That's me." I stood up and offered a hand. He seemed hesitant but took it anyway. I pulled up him up and grabbed the chocolate syrup from the shelf.

"We're making a chocolate shake today," I told him. He nodded and went to go get a blender, knowing what to do.

I only saw him once when Shigaraki was about to get the cash from an assassination, but he seems fine with me randomly appearing in the middle of the night, waking him up from what I think was a nightmare in the pantry. And now we're going to make milkshakes together.

The league is weird but I kinda like it.

On the floor, I saw a pansexual pride flag.

"What were you doing in the pantry?" I decided to ask.

His eyes widened and he started nervously sweating. "You saw nothing!" He suddenly started scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. "I mean- uh."

"It's kind of personal...but" He looked up at me nervously before going back to the blender to plug it in. "Do you know what my quirk is?" He asked.

"No. You don't need to tell me if you're not comfortable, but if you do, then I'll listen." I walked up to the counter.

"WHERE ON THE FACE OF THE UNIVERSE DID SHIGA GO?!?!" The girl yelled, stomping into the bar area where we were.

She saw us and her posture turned to a softer one. "Why are you up Twice? Did you have another episode?" She asked concern laced in her voice.

"Who are you though?" She asked pointing to me with confusion.

"I'm the assassin Shigaraki hired a few times. I need another mission soon." I explained.

"Oh you're Zoldyck, right? He talks about you a lot actually." She walked over to us, hopping on one of the bar chairs while we stood on the bartender's side.

"Really?" I raised my eyebrow under my mask.

"Yup. He wants you to be a part of our team, but as he always says," Her face turned to one of frustration. "HE IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS!!" She slammed her fists on the table to emphasize his frustration. "HE IS SUCH A GOOD KILLER BUT DOESN'T WANT TO KILL HEROS?!!? WHAT TYPE OF SH*T IS THAT?!?"

Her face turned back to normal as she tiredly leaned on the table. "Yeah, you kind of drive him crazy."

"I'm glad he thinks of me so highly." I laughed, opening the ice cream tub.

"Why don't you want to kill heros anyway?" Twice asked me, passing me the blender tub.

"The only reason why I'm willing to kill people right now is that I need the cash and can't get a job. To kill heros is something I want to avoid doing. But since I've been having a LOT of financial issues lately I think I'm willing to go on an assassination of a hero as long as I believe I can leave zero evidence." I explain.

"Why are you hiding?" She asked.

"If you committed a crime, would you want the police on your tail?" I asked her, filling the blender with ice cream.

"You have a point. But if you're dealing with financial issues, you can just live with us, here. It's really not that bad. I came here because society didn't accept me because of my quirk's side effects that basically make me Bipolar with a few more complications." He told me.

I hummed in acknowledgment. "Thanks for the offer, but I can't live here. I have loved ones that I need to protect." I explained.

"That's the reason." Toga looked at me in the eye as if she knew some secret. "You don't want to let them go. You're scared you're going to hurt or abandon them."

The thought of me leaving him made my chest tighten. "Yeah... I don't ever want to do that." I gripped the countertop, feeling a heavyweight in my chest.

"You don't have to." Twice put a hand on my shoulder.

"It's ok to cry. Twice does it all the time." The girl said, putting her hand on mine.

"Crying?" I lifted up my free hand, under my mask to feel tears. Why am I crying? What's this pain in my chest? She let go of my hand. I lifted my mask slightly with one hand and wiped the tears with my sleeve. I never want to leave Gon. I don't know what I would do without him. My eyes burned and started tearing up the tightness grew in my chest along with the weight. I would probably end up offing myself if he were to die.

"WAIT! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! I DON'T CRY ALL THE TIME!" The guy yelled at her, twitched and then said sheepishly, "Well... I guess I am sensitive..." Toga laughed at him. I couldn't help but join in, sniffling and starting to smile. "I've had it rough okay!!"

Well, I guess that's what he meant by bipolar.

"Why were you in the pantry anyway?" She asked. Twice had finished pouring the chocolate syrup and blended it before he continued.

"I was having another episode, kept on thinking how lonely I am, and how I wish I had a special someone. I guess you can also say it was an identity crisis along with a pansexual panic in the pantry." He forced a laugh.

"Well, I'm always here if you need me. You can always wake me up if you have that again." She told him, holding his hand for support.

"Thanks, Toga." He smiled.

"Why are you in the league Toga?" I asked. I already know that Twice is here because of his quirk, but I hardly know anything about her.

"I just wanted a sense of freedom. Society does not accept me nor my quirk. They always say that I'm too sadistic, unapproachable, scary, crazy, and a vampire." She simply said, counting on her hand all the names. "There's much more, but you get the gist of it."

"Why vampire?"

"You don't know my quirk, do you?" She asked. "Can I try it out on you? I just need some of your blood." She said getting a knife out of nowhere.

"Sure I guess..." I was hesitant, but what's the worst she can do? She made a small cut on my arm. After a moment it started to bleed. She bent down closer, licking my cut. I raised an eyebrow, "I can see why they call you vampire now." I chuckled.

Her skin started turning to goop. Now that's weird.

"I can turn into anyone whose blood I ingest." The goop started forming the shape of my mask and hood. "I copy all of their clothes too, so I normally take off my clothes." She said unbuttoning her PJ shirt and showing off my assassin outfit. Well, the one she copied.

"That's so cool. Amazing for spy missions and gathering information." I cheered.

"Thanks!" She cheered.

"Who wants milkshakes?!" Twice yelled.

"Yes!" Toga and I cheered.

I lifted up my mask slightly so I can drink through the straw.

"It's so sweet and cold! I love it." I said? It sounds exactly like me.

"Wha-" I saw myself with out my mask. "Why did you take off the mask!?" I yelled at myself- I mean her.

"It got hot, and how else am I supposed to drink a milkshake?" I- She asked innocently.

You guys weren't supposed to know what I look like." I groaned, taking off my mask, placing it on the table then sipped the milkshake.

"Oh... I'm sorry Zoldyck. I really didn't mean it." That sounds so weird coming from my voice.

"Its... ugh. It's fine I guess. Just make sure you don't tell anyone. If you do, I'm going to kill you guys."

"Your secret's safe with us two!" Twice saluted.

"Ok." I felt a little better with that promise. They really don't seem like bad buys. I just hope they can keep that promise. I don't need people to know that I'm technically with the league. Wait, if she can copy my appearance and voice, then what else does she know!? She can't use my nen or can she? "What else do you copy?" I said eyeing her.

She leaned on the counter, coming face to face with me. "A little side note first, you're kinda cute." She- he- I. Okay, this is so confusing.

"I have mixed feelings about this." I raised my eyes as she bopped my nose with my smirk plastered on her face.

She let out a laugh. "You're funny. Well, let's see... I can't mimic personality, and I don't have the user's memory. I basically can't copy anything mental. Just appearances, voice and quirk." She explained.

"What's your quirk again?" She asked. "I heard it's sharp hands right?" She asked, lifting up her hands.

"Yeah, but its really difficult. I doubt you will be able to do it." Since people like Aizawa can't affect my nen, then I don't think she can use it. Either way, it's not a quirk. It's a technique.

She stared at her hand with incredible focus. Something feels off. I used gyo to see her aura. No. My aura?!

Her hands started buzzing and electricity started to dance around her fingers. No no no no no!

"STOP THE QUIRK!" I shouted at her, abruptly stood up and took off my jacket to cover her hand to act as insulation, so she doesn't shock anyone.

"Was that supposed to happen?" Twice asked, wide-eyed.

"My quirk isn't what I said it was. I lied." I confess.

"Why didn't you tell us, Zoldyck? If that even is your name?" Toga had a hint of disapproval in her voice. My voice.

"My last name is Zodyck, and I would prefer you to use that, so the others don't know." I took in a deep breath. She just used nen.  My nen.  What on earth am I going to do? Bisky will punch me to space. That's a fact.

"I- I'm really trusting you with a lot of information guys." I breathed out shakily. I don't want to go to space yet. I don't know why I'm doing this either. I just have a gut feeling that I can trust them for some reason.

"I actually have an electricity type ability. The so-called 'sharp hands' quirk is an assasin technique that I learned when I was little." I explained.

"Ability?" They wondered.

"Wellllllllll..." I feel like I can talk to them... They're so open with one another and are kinda like me when I was younger. Isolated from the world.

I guess I'm even with bisky now. I reveal some secrets. She causes debt.

"I have done this special training and have unlocked an ability. It's not really a quirk but its an ability that someone can teach or give to you forcefully, so it might vaguely fall under the quirk category." I rubbed the back of my head. "I didn't expect you to be able to do it that easily." I hesitantly let go of her arm, wrapping my jacket around my waist. "Although, It has major drawbacks if you can't use it properly. That's why I stopped you so suddenly."

"Drawbacks? Like what?" She questioned tilting her head.

"The power comes from my life. If you can't stop it, then you can keep on spouting out life force and then you die." I truthfully told her. It was pretty scary when Glasses told Gon and me that after he awakened us.

"I guess I'm not doing that on my own." Toga sweatdropped. "Maybe you can teach me how to use it?" She asked.

"I'll have to think about that one. Just never use it without my permission, ok?" I looked at her in the eyes. I didn't know my eyes were that blue though.

"Promise." She smiled. "I need your blood to do it anyway and this transformation won't last much longer." She said, grabbing her PJ shirt, putting it in over her transformation.

I really don't need her to activate random people's nen. It's weird how the aura she produced was my aura. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that she basically becomes the person except for anything mental. "You can use any quirk right?" I asked trying to figure this out. Maybe she will say something that can help me understand.

"Yeah. But only if I understand the concept of how to use it, and what it is. The knowledge of it does not come naturally." She stated then put a hand on her chin in consideration. "Technically, I could learn how to use the quirk from scratch. The muscle memory will help as I learn. Once I get the hang of it, I become as powerful as the actual person. From what I'm aware of so far is that their power is my limit."

So right now she can use nen, but she is learning. At the same time putting herself in danger because of the life force control. If I teach her how to use my nen, then theoretically she can become a perfect nen double. I have to be careful and make sure she doesn't get any of mine, Gons or Bisky's blood before she can control it. That would be bad for everyone if she can't learn to control nen.

"Although, I haven't tested it on a person like Allmight who has overwhelming strength. I believe that my copy has a limit of how much raw power it can try to mimic. It does a fantastic job, but it's not the original. I do get to basically be the person physically, but I cannot be the person."

"Can you elaborate on that?" Okay so maybe she can't have the same power as me, but I'm sure she can be a close second. Then again, I'm sure I'm the strongest person she copied so far. Everyone is weak and had little to no training compared the hell Bisky put us through.

"For example, if a quirk can make skin can be tougher, then it will mimic the quirk and be tougher." I nodded at her words.

"But it's not the original quirk given from birth. The fact that its clay might just be a drawback." She explained her thoughts on the subject.

I thought of an example of her explanation. "It's like a painting. The Mona Lisa was made by Leonardo de Vinci. While yours is an exact replica, but it doesn't change the fact that Leonardo did not paint it. You can't copy authenticity."

"I haven't thought about it like that, but that seems about right." She nodded. "Also who is this Mona Lisa you speak of?"

I facepalmed. Different world. Different artists.

I shook off my reference mistake and thought back to why it was my nen and not hers when she used my electricity.

I thought for a moment before coming up with an idea: She took my blood which is a part of myself/my life. The blood could be like a battery for her to use that part of my life/nen AND transform into my body.

Once her time limit expires, then the transformation will disappear along with the nen ability. She ran out of my blood or in this case that part of my life.

I'm sure if I teach her the basics of nen and train her, then she will mentally understand and the physical muscle memory will kick in and make it easier for her to learn and master nen.

I bet that she can also use my assassin techniques since my body knows how to do it from muscle memory.

She would also have my normal strength since it's technically my body. She could even use nen to boost natural abilities like Gon.

The worrying part is that she might be able to stop it, but the risks are too high. The drawback of nen is that it drains your life force.

Wait...

If the only way she is able to use my nen is through the blood she ate, then theoretically she can take a liter and can go all out. She can use all the blood/life force she collected at once and become a superweapon stronger than bisky! It would only be a short amount of time, but still!

No.

I'm getting ahead of myself here.

She already said that she cant copy authenticity and might not be able to copy all of that person's strength and power.

I'm not sure anymore. This is tricky.

Based on everything we said, these points are accurate:

1. She copied my body. This means that she has my:
-Natural strength

-Open aura nodes and can use electricity

2: She does not know or have anything related to my mind:

- She does not know the extent to my strength and might underestimate it.

-She does not know how to control nen well. -She does not know that's I (the original authentic killlua) can rip out someone's heart in a millisecond, use rhythm echo, etc.

-She will not be able to handle the mental strain of torture.

These are theories that I can test out of I do end up teaching her how to use nen:

1. She will not be able to use the full extent of my power but will be close.

2. She will have a very short time limit if nen is being used rapidly.

3. She will not have to worry about dying. She will just detransform faster.

4. She might be able to handle the physical strain of poisons and torture since she has my body.

5. She will be able to learn my assasin skills quickly from muscle memory.

6. She can use all nen abilities that I can do like Hatsu, ren, Gyo, ten, Zetsu, and more

7. She can open other people's aura nodes.

"What were you doing before you started talking to us?" I thought back to earlier when she was screaming about Shigaraki

"Crap! I still need to find him." Toga said, getting up.

"Where did he go?" Twice asked.

Toga deadpanned. "I wouldn't need to be looking for him if I already know where he is."

"But why?" I wondered, taking the empty glasses of milkshakes and putting them in the sink for someone else to deal with.

"He sleepwalks every once in a while and sometimes gets lost." She explained. "I think he went outside. The door handle was disintegrated." I pointed to the front door.

She looked as if she wanted to say something but looked away, sitting back at the bar. "He's probably long gone. Mom has a tracker on him though. He could just warp him back."

"You mean the mist guy who brought me here the first time?"

"Purple mist?"

"Yeah, that's Kurogiri. He acts like such a mom though, so I always call him that. I'm trying to get Dabi to do the same. Moms are always a touchy subject for him though, so it's taking some time to get used to." She yawned, wrapping herself in a blanket that was left on the counter for some reason. She slumped on the table, her arms acting as a pillow.

Come to think of it, Twice has been really quiet ever since we started talking about her quirk.

I looked over to my left to see him sleeping on the floor peacefully with his pride flag as a blanket.

"I should get going. Can you tell Shigaraki that I'll be here tomorrow afternoon to talk about a new mission?" I asked.

She was detransforming. It looked really odd. It's like I was melting and then the clay molded itself to look like the original Toga.

She yawned tiredly, peeking up at me. "Yeah, I'll tell him. Actually, we're going on a bank heist tomorrow night. You can join us if you like and split some of the cash." She offered. "Just come in a little earlier so we have time to discuss with you."

"I'll be there," I said, walking around the bar. "See ya." I waved, walking outside.

I wonder what Gon is doing. Probably sleeping. I swear to god if I find Bisky in the house I will kill her on the spot.
