"Vanished" Mikasa spoke in shock, her eyes wide as she looked to Miku.

"He was standing by the portal and then he was gone, vanished in thin air .. I don't know how to explain it Princess, he wasn't killed nor taken but just gone" Miku shakily spoke as he stood in the cave, looking to the ground trying to work out what he had witness.

"But I don't feel his life fading" Farlan replied from where he sat on the cave floor, he would have known if his and his sister familiar died.

"He didn't die but disappear, I can feel his life force but I can't track him" Mikasa muttered back as she placed a hand over her heart.  

"Then where he gone, as our familiar we should be able to track him within seconds. He shares our life link .. right" Farlan panicky asked as he stood up, looking to his sister who stood by the edge of the cave looking out to the human world. 

"No, he not sharing our life .. can't you feel it. He gone, he no longer attached to us, I sense he alive becuase he wants us to know he alive somewhere but he not linked to us no more" Mikasa corrected, a slight frown and sadden look in her eyes as she looked over to the human world. 

"A Familiar to another" Miku asked unsure, it was a possibility.

"No, we would have felt the bond break forcefully if that was the case" Farlan explained and Miku an agreed nod. 

"I don't think we need to fear, he is safe somewhere out there and he has a reason why he left. I'm sure if we needed him then he would have stayed but he hasn't, meaning we can carry on without him. We did for this long, he only returned as a copy of the ordinal once others found out who I was, he caught me as I threatened to fall and now he left once we standing on our own" Mikasa spoke up, a soft and clam voice as she looked over her shoulder.

"But what now, I hate to say it princess but I must return to the underworld. My strength is low from being out so long. I must rest for at least a couple days" Miku warned with slight concern. 

"Then rest, I'll need your power must to trace down the Child of Reincarnation. Don't worry over us, even if I die then please save the Child of Reincarnation. Their life can not be taken nor can their power be stolen" Mikasa replied and Miku gave an understanding nod before teleporting away.

"Was it wise to let him leave, I'm still recovering from having my memory released and my true power floating threw my body. I'll be stuck as a child for a good couple days and yes you can fight but not against the whole word" Farlan spoke up with slight worry, standing up and walking towards his sister.

"We need his demonic power to track the Child of Reincarnation, he'll only grow weaker the longer I keep him from recovering. At least now, he can charge up his power some more and help us safe the missing Child who was given an unwanted fate. He much more needed in saving the Child of Reincarnation then I am. You'll be safe as long as you keep to the cave, Don't leave not until your back to your true aged body and have control over your power. I don't know how well we can fight, out training is old and well things have changed but there a gun with bullets for different magical races in a wooden box further within the cave along with clothes that should fit you once your older. Use them" Mikasa replied, looking to her brother who brought back old memories of the night she thought both he and she would have died. 

"And what do you plan to do" Farlan asked unsure. 

"I must go see something, He deserves to know the truth" Mikasa answered as she lowered her head in shame slightly.

"That man, the man who looked like our Levi but older" Farlan asked and Mikasa gave a slight nod.

"He doesn't know it but he saved me, I was ready to walk the earth as a hidden villain until I took my last breath of someone slayed me. But he, he gave me a reason to live without even knowing it. Its not just him, I was given a new family and they don't deserve to be forgotten. So, I'll see him and speak with him in person, he'll pass on the news if he must for me" Mikasa explained as she placed a hand on her scarf, finding slight courage grow within herself.

"I hope for the best, I may not trust them but they show they care for you by showing up" Farlan smiled with care, meeting with his sister eyes.

"You have someone who cares for you as well, there a crystal ball hidden in that trunk at the end of the cave. Use it to see the women you fall in love with, the one you planned to marry one day" Mikasa smiled slightly, nodding her head further in the cave.

"She is a women my older self falls in love with, a women who meets a me without any memory or link to my power. She met a me that even I don't know. How do I know if I will feel the same once I'm back to my age body again. I feel the love I held for her but that wasn't the real me she met" Farlan frowned, lowing his head in slight shame.

"Trust me, she loves you as you are now and as you were. She will stay loving you just like you will carry on loving her. One day you will marry her and live the life you truly want with her, I'll give that life back to you no matter what" Mikasa promised as she glanced back out the cave.

"Those friends of yours, make sure to save them. You care for them sister, you care for them like they were our people back in the kingdom. Don't let them face the same fate as our kingdom" Farlan smiled before walking deeper in the cave.

"That a fate I can't promise, I may be the Child of Death but I can't always control who dies. When the time comes, they time will arrive" Mikasa whispered before stepping out of the cave, entering the human world once again. 

She used the hidden magical world transport, jumping in a semi form of teleportation from town to town before reaching the one she called semi home with the others. Keeping her head low as she walked and taking care to keep out of SC cameras and stay unspotted by magical creatures on the look out for her. 

It took a good forty minutes after arriving in the town before she made it to the mansion, truly missing her car during such a walk. She noticed the mansion didn't have much movement but she knew that didn't mean it was truly empty. 

Taking a shaky breath before stepping out to the main path leading to the front door, she won't have any cover during the short walk to the door. Anyone and anything could see her now, either from inside the mansion or outside. But at least she'll be able to openly fight if needed.

She didn't knock or call out, instead she just entered the mansion and silently closed the door behind her. She listened out for any sounds of life but found none. She knew at least one person would be open, after all the door was left open for her and the alarm turned off along with the rest of the security system. It was almost like someone was helping to keep her fact over visiting the mansion hidden as much as she wanted it. 

"Came back for your guns" Levi asked with a slight smirk on his lips, his arms crossed as he leaned on the living room doorframe, his right foot over his left.

"You still remember our fake excuse if one of us ever went solo and needed to see the other" Mikasa muttered slightly amused he remembered their silly joke just months after they were made partners in the SC, a late state out ending up with nothing but they stayed doing their job with random rambles. 

"It was the first time I ever got to hear you laugh and smile, it was rather a rememberable night" Levi shyly admitted as he glanced away.

"I must agree, it was the first time I ever saw you smile, even laugh with me" Mikasa smiled softly, stepping forward knowing it was safe.

"So, ready to give me that life story of yours or are we going to have to drink until we drop before crying it out the next morning" Levi asked with a raised eyebrow, pushing from the doorframe and standing with his arms still crossed over his chest.

"I think I'll tell you the truth, you deserve that much" Mikasa answered and Levi gave a small nod before glancing to the living room.

"It may be too open for us to talk, it only take someone flying past to see inside and notice you. My room or yours" Levi asked a little uneasy, He knew that every single magical creature wasn't just after Farlan but Mikasa too. 

"My room, it has a magical barrier to stop others from seeing in without having my trust" Mikasa answered and Levi nodded. 

Mikasa started walking to the old stairs noticing Levi step towards the kitchen before yelling out he'll grab them both a can of coke or lemonade before meeting her up. Mikasa knew he'll grab snacks too, he was good like that when she overworked herself but couldn't just rest yet. 

A couple minutes later and Levi entered the room. A can of coke for himself and a can of lemonade for her with a packet of French fries crisp each for them. Joining her on the edge of her bed before passing over her share and both opening their drinks. 

"So, who is Mikasa Ackermen" Levi asked, looking to Mikasa and making sure she truly was ready to speak over her past.

"Long ago, Over hundreds of years ago a son was born. The Child of Life. Four years later a daughter was born. The Child of Death. The parents paid the cost over giving them life and was killed but the children were taken in by their grandparent over their rare beauty in the kingdom. The son brought up to be the best king he could be while the daughter was trained to become the perfect lady and weapon. Neither sibling held a true place to belong. Others either feared them or hated them, they only had the other in their life. Well until the daughter gained the scar under her right eye, it gained her a punishment from her grandfather due to her worth fading over the scar ruining her rare looks. But the scar did gain her a friend, a friend both her and her brother cherished as he cherished them back" Mikasa spoke, telling her story like it was a fairy tale and looking to the can of lemonade in her hands as she remembered the past.

"The Child of Life and The Child of Death, wasn't as cursed as history says .. were they" Levi asked and Mikasa shook her head.

"They were normal humans, born as flesh and with a beating heart. Neither truly learnt what they were until others wanted to steal their power from them. They just wanted to be free, to have a life without fear. They did hold hope as their friend cheered them on in his own way, he stayed with them even after learning how much of a monster they truly were. But he paid the price as another kingdom attacked, slaughtering the whole kingdom to get rid of the evil the two children held. All the kingdom people and even those just passing threw were killed that night before the castle was attacked without mercy. The two siblings escaped with their friend, finding the state of their kingdom as they reached the closest town and planned to run far away until they were old enough to rule but they were found. The friend killed before them, an arrow shot in the sister leg and the brother side was sliced. The sister couldn't lose her brother, they didn't ask for their fate or the power they were born for and she lost control. Killing those you killed her only friend and harmed her brother, a demon saved her and her brother while she freed her friend soul from his body before leaving" Mikasa carried on the story, tears filling her eyes as she lived threw her memories once again before being pulling out as a hand held her own, glancing to find it was Levi holding her hand with a pained look of his own from the sight he saw.

"Miku saved you, that why you held a contact with a demon" Levi muttered, pulling her back to the present and away from her past.

"Yes, he saved my brother life and will my orders hid us away. He took Farlan memoires away and help me seal our powers until they were weak and barely noticeable. Leaving after a couple years and telling me to leave once the magical world and humans form as one. Its not perfect but it was safe enough for me to wake my brother once more and we entered the human world once more. We lived as orphans and my brother lived the life he always dreamed of living while I lived to protect us both in secret. To keep the world he wanted safe just long enough to be free until death took us both" Mikasa answered, giving Levi hand a slight squeeze to let him know she knew where she was and where she lived once more.

"That didn't end up going to plan, now did it" Levi joked making Mikasa giggle a little.

"Not truly but now I have to find the Child of Reincarnation. I can't allow them to live the same hell as I did, its just too cruel" Mikasa sighed, running a hand threw her hair as she glanced towards her window.

"But I know, If I didn't at least see you once more then I'll regret it for the rest of my life" Mikasa admitted it with a slight blush.

"You wanted to see me" Levi asked surprised, looking to her with wide eyes as she slipped her hand free, pulling up her scarf to hide her slight blush and embarrassment over saying such a thing to him.

"Or did you want to see me becuase I looked like him" Levi asked with a frown, it was a nagging thought since he saw her collect her brother. Her brother who knew his name and he learnt why after seeing the familiar. 

"Wha" Mikasa breathed out confused, turning to him and letting her hand fall from her scarf.

"I look like him, the friend who died and don't say I don't because I saw him. Who do you see when you look at me, the real me or just him" Levi replied, hurt on his face as glared to her slightly.

"The honest answer, at first when we first met I did. Those first two months over us meeting, being new partners in the SC, I really thought you were him. But that night you made me laugh, something I haven't done over a hundred years. I saw you as you, I was forgetting about the friend I once knew becuase I had you ... I can't prove that I see you as you and not him but my heart might. The Levi from my past was a friend, part of the family who wished to see me queen one day and you .. your someone special to me. Someone I want not to just see me grow into my future but to be part of it" Mikasa answered, a warm smile and soft eyes as she grabbed his hand, placing it over her heart to prove her point, noticing him blush slightly as he touched her breasts with just her shirt between his hand and her skin. 

"I won't give a sappy confession but I know I have to leave, I have to find the Child of Reincarnation and save him like you saved me. Just know, your going to be the one I won't be able to forget no matter how much times past. I accepted Levi death but I'll never accept leaving you" Mikasa promised, her eyes never leaving Levi surprise ones.
