Shawn began to open his eyes. He looked over to his right where Minnie lay, cuddling herself into him and gripping his shirt showing no motion of letting go. He smiled, caressing her face lightly as she slept. She looked beautiful. Her pale skin glowed in the sunlight that streamed through the edges of the motel curtains. Her soft pink lips were parted a bit, and her light snores filled the room.

She wore his hoodie which made her even cuter. Minnie had grabbed it quickly when they went looking for him. Her blue misty eyes were shut and her cheeks were a rosy red with faint streaks from her tears last night. There was a knock at the door that distracted Shawn from his love. Grabbing the gun under his pillow he slipped out of MInnies grasp and went for the door. Keeping the gun point through the door, he opened the door partially.

"Morning champ" Dean said with a smile

Shawn chuckled with relief and opened the door completely, setting the gun down on the table. Dean and Sam stepped in, first noticing the bed Minnie was sleeping in. Dean raised an eyebrow at Shawn.

"So it actually happened? Like you know.. It wasn't no mind trick or shit from your little accident?" Dean asked with a sly grin

Shawn looked confused, looking from Minnie to Dean and Sam. His eyes widened when he realized what he was talking about.

"Oh my god, Dean! No! What the hell- Just no!"

"Guys?" a weak voice spoke from the bed

Everyone directed their attention to Minnie who was sitting up in the bed, rubbing her eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around. Shawn walked over to her and sat down at the edge of the bed, resting a hand on her leg which made her smile.

"I ship it" Sam said out of nowhere

"What does that even mean?" Dean asked, turning to his brother

Minnie giggled and captured the attention of everyone in the room. Her smile was wide and her teeth sparkled.

"I'm not going to explain a ship to you" she yawned

Shawn smiled and chuckled.

"Happy Birthday Minnie" he grinned

Dean and Sam went wide eyed, looking at each other and then at Minnie

"Wait its your birthday?" they asked

"Yep. April 1st, to signify my whole life was a joke" Minnie sighed "Wanna know what else is a joke?"

The boys watched on intently, waiting for the answer. Minnie suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind Dean with a cup of ice. She poured it down his back causing him to hiss and hollar. Minnie giggled and disappeared, everyone going on high alert. Shawn looks around, wondering where she could have gone. Suddenly a sharp chill ran down his back, shocking him and making him yelp.

"You little- get back here!"

Minnie finished of the slice of pie in her Jeep. Shawn was driving this time. She grinned as she put down the plastic that once held a slice of deliciousness. She laid back in her seat.

"So far, best birthday ever" Minnie chuckled

"And why's that?"

She sat forward, taking off her shoes and crossing her legs, repositioning her seat belt.

"Well the Dean Winchester bought me a slice of pie for starters, we're not hunting and i have successfully pranked 3 people" She said cheerfully

Shawn laughed. Minnie leaned over to the radio and turned it on for the first time. Shawn watched as she pressed the different stations. She grunted.

"Nothing goods on" she sighed

"I didn't know you had a taste in music" Shawn replied

Minnie glared at him as he laughed. She huffed. Suddenly her eyes widened as a song on the radio station she had left it on began to play. She put the volume up, "Love The Way You Lie" by Rihanna and Eminem began to play.

"Just gonna stand there and watch me burn, but that's okay cause i love the way it hurts." she began to sing "Just gonna stand there and hear me cry, but that's alright because i love the way you lie, I love the way you lie"

Shawn began to smile, singing and rapping along with Minnie. The car ride was new, refreshing even. Minnie stuck her head out the window a few times and waved back to Dean and Sam in the Impala. Shawn laughed.

"You seem like a whole new person today" he said

"I guess... I mean I feel like it. No nightmares last night, I feel like i have a day off from my normal routine" She sighed

Shawn smiled. He looked over and quickly kissed her before looking back at the road. Minnie's cheeks immediately went red and she hid her face in her jacket.

"Stop doing that!" her muffled voice said

Shawn laughed. After about a few hours, they pulled over at a rest stop to use the restroom and get a bite to eat. As Minnie got out of the car, her eyes locked on a figure on the other side of the parking lot. Her eyes widened and she stayed stiff. Shawn walked over to her side and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

"Are you okay?" he asked, pulling her close

Suddenly she wanted to feel his warmth. Minnie wrapped her arms around him and nodded.

"I-Im fine.. Just thought i saw something" she almost whispered, her eyes not moving from the spot where the figure stood

They all walked inside and ordered some food from the Mcdonalds there. While Minnie and Sam waited for Shawn and Dean, she eyed the place. Sam decided to break the silence in between the two.

"So... What happened to the sword? After we left." Sam asked

Minnie looked over at him and sighed.

"I put it back."

She motioned to her hand.

"I put it back inside me where it always was."

Sam nodded.

"How does it feel?"

"How does what feel?"

"The power? Cass came to our room and we asked him questions. Like how did you not know you were a Nephilim, how did he not sense it and stuff. He said that somehow Emandriel managed to keep your powers dormant. In 1992, Heaven felt a power surge but were never able to find the Nephilim so they gave up."

"And that was me?" Minnie questioned

Sam nodded.

"Huh... "

Minnie looked around impatiently for Shawn and there food.She gasped, the figure from before was right next to Shawn, but he didn't seem to notice. Her eyes went wide and Sam noticed.

"What is it?" he asked, looking in the same direction as her

"I-im sure its nothing" she huffed, looking down at her hands

She kept seeing her father.... But that was impossible right? He was in heaven, with the other angels.... Right?
