Ten applicants: Gon, Killua, Chika, Kurapika, Leorio, Pokkle, Bodoro, Gitarrackur, Hanzo and Hisoka head to the Final Phase, having passed the exam's Fourth Phase.

"Well, gentlemen. Did you get any plenty of rest? This hotel is owned by the Hunter Exam Selection Committee. The place is all yours until the battles have conclude" a man walks infront with a board and cloth covered the board.

"For the Final Phase, we will be holding a one-on-one tournament" the man removes the cloth.

"So only two people standing passes?" Leorio thought.

"No. One win is all you need to pass" Netero said.

"One win?"

"Then in this tournament..."

"The winners are removed from the competition while the losers continue up the bracket. In other words, two people who finishes at the top will not pass. Does everyone understands now?"

"So you're saying only two people will fail" Hanzo said.

"Exactly. And here is the bracket" the man removes the cloth and they saw the bracket. Leorio is suprised. Chika saw that she'll be fighting Hisoka. Chika looks at Hisoka and Hisoka looks at her. They stare each other.

"Are you up against Hisoka in the first match?!" Leorio asked Chika.

"Hey, I'm begging you. Do whatever it takes to beat this guy. Please don't let him advance to the next round" Leorio whispers to Chika.

"Wait, will you shut up for a while?" Leorio has a vein on his head.

"Impressive, right? After all, everyone has at least at least two chances to win"

"But some people, like #44 and #96 get five chances" Pokkle said.

"Why didn't you used a balanced bracket?" Bodoro asked.

"A question that must be in everyone's mind. This bracket was assembeled based on your performances throughout the entire exam. Those who performed better received more chances"

"Is this old man is serious? Why do I get to fight Hisoka? Isn't because..." Chika is thinking the reason.

"That doesn't sound right. Can you explain how you scored our performances?" Killua asked and then there's silence.

"NO!!" Netero said with a stupid face and Killua is suprised.

"WHY NOT?" Killua asked with a vein on his head and Netero laughs.

"Your scores are classified information. So I can't tell you everything. But I can explain our methods. First, we consider three major criteria: physical strength, mental strength and overall impression. For physical strength we use an aggregate of agility, flexibility, endurance and perception. For mental strength, we use an aggregate of resilience, adaptability, judgement and creativity. However this information is used only as a reference point. After all, you were strong enough to advance to the final phase. However we are most concerned with your overall impression. This refers to any intangible factors not previously mentioned. You could consider this an evaluation of your potential as a hunter. And we also incorporate the opinions of your peers. That was our process" Netero explains.

"Based on performace, I should be ranked higher. Do I have less potential than Chika?"

"The battle rules are quite simple. Weapons are allowed. No cheating. If your opponent meets defeat, you win. HOWEVER! If you kill your opponent, you will immediately be disqualified. All remaining applicants will pass, and the exam will end. Are we clear?" no one answered.

"Then we shall begin the exam's Final Phase" Chika and Hisoka gets ready.

"The first match is Hisoka versus Chika! Please step foreward" the referee said.

"DO YOUR BEST!" Gon shouts.

"Idiot! I told you to lose!" Chika gives Leorio a death glare and Leorio is frightened.

"Don't worry, Leorio. I know she'll win. You'll see" Gon said.

"I agree" Kurapika said and Leorio looks at them.

"You saw her fight back at the tower, right?" Killua asked.

"Chika and the worst magician of them all" Satotz said to himself.

"Hisoka has probably advantage in terms of power but I get the sense that there's something special to the girl since she impressed me in her cooking. This year's exam never cease to amaze me!" Menchi said to herself.

"To be honest, I wanted to watch these two first. Because they're the only ones who have the power that every Hunter has" Netero said to himself.

"I will serve as the referee. My name is Masta. Best of luck" Gon and the others are nervous. Hisoka smiles creepily to Chika and Chika doesn't have any reaction. Masta raises his arms.

Flashback

A year ago....

It was a rainy day. Chika fought Hisoka when he got her wallet.

"HEY! GIVE IT BACK!" Chika said with her stick holding it.

"Then get it back by force" Hisoka said and he jumps up to the roof. Chika chased him.

"She's chasing me, huh?" then Chika appears infront of him in a flash and Hisoka stops.

"Amazing... Here" Hisoka throws her wallet to her. Chika glares at him.

"Bye" he left and Chika leaves herself blank.

Chika was walking along the sidewalk with her hoodie on. Then she walks to the street with no people. Then she went into an abandoned building. She removes her hoodie and then she was suprised when she saw a group.

"Um.. Who are you guys?"

"What are you doing in our hideout?" a samurai looking man asked.

"Hideout? Oh, I never expected this will be your hideout. Please forgive me. I'll leave if you..." Hisoka appears infront of her and then she jumps back a little.

"Y-YOU'RE THE GUY WHO STOLE MY WALLET!"

"Hisoka, you know the girl?" a man wearing black coat asked.

"Yes. I was bored so I play with her just a minute. She also has a unique aura and has much more potential" Hisoka said.

"Huh?"

"I see. Are you a Hunter? We'll let you go if you answer my questions" the man with a black cloak asked.

"Yes. I'm a Stone Hunter"

"A Hunter in that age? Since when are you a Hunter?"

"When I was ten years old"

"Ten years old. Why at a younger age?"

"My parents are hunters since twelve but I wanted to surpass them"

"Why did you wanted to become a Hunter?"

"So I can find my parents. They didn't return after I was born and they went missing until now"

"But why a Stone Hunter?"

"Sorry, but I can't tell you everything. Isn't that enough? Why are you asking all of these questions?"

"We're the Phantom Troupe"

"Phantom Troupe? You're the Phantom Troupe?!"

"Correct. We are also called as Spiders"

"Wow... I can't believe it I meet you guys in person"

"I wanted to test your ability. So you'll have a combat between Hisoka"

"Eh? You mean him?" Chika asked pointing to Hisoka.

"Yes. Can you?" Chika nods.

"You may start anytime"

"Anytime?" Chika senses something from behind. Chika dodges a card.

"Will you show them your ability? Chikara Yoso, right?" Hisoka asked.

"May I call you Kara?"

"Do as you please" Chika charges and she appears infront of Hisoka in a blink of an eye. Then she electrocuted him.

"That kid is insane. Let's ask her to join the gang" Nobunaga said.

"What's your name again?" the man with a black cloak asked.

"Oh, Chikara Yoso"

"Will you join... The Spiders?"

End of Flashback

"BEGIN!" he put his arms down and they didn't make a move yet.

"It's been a while since we fought" Hisoka said while playing his cards and Chika charges. Hisoka throws a card and Chika deflects it using her stick.

"Good..." Hisoka jumps to the other side and throws many cards. Chika twirls her stick and there's another cards infront of her eyes. She catches it using her two fingers and then throws it to Hisoka.

"Her reaction time is fast. She surpasses my expectations" Kurapika said.

"She's well trained" Leorio said. Chika keeps her stick and tries to punch and kick Hisoka and he's just dodging it.

"You're good. That's why I let you live" Hisoka jumps to the other side and he stands using his right hand. Chika tries to kick it but Hisoka dodges it again. He flips back and Chika lances her stick and it hits Hisoka when he's flipping back. Hisoka lands and gets the stick and Chika is going to give him a punch and Hisoka ducks and jumps to the other side an then Chika punches the wall with a hole and debris on the floor.

"Marvelous performance, Kara"

"Kara? But her name is Chika, right?" Gon asked.

"I don't know. You can ask her later" Killua said.

"Aren't you going to make a move?"

"What are you talking about? I already make my move" Hisoka bends his finger towards him.

"CHIKA! BEHIND YOU!" Chika turns back and a rock from a pile of debris hits her head and she falls down.

"CHIKA!" Gon and the others said and they're going to Chika but other men stops them.

"You shall not disturb their fight or else Chika-san will be disqualified"

"Why? Can't yo..." Kurapika is cut by Chika.

"I'm okay! I don't feel anything" Chika stands up and she smiles cooly even her head is bleeding and her eye is close. Hisoka laughs.

"Huh? Why sre you laughing?"

"I amaze that you're still awake by that attack" Hisoka sais and he dashes beside Chika and he whispers something to her.

"I admit defeat" Hisoka said to Masta.

"Chika wins!" Chika goes with Gon and the others.

"Hey, Chika, are you really ok?" Gon asked.

"I'm fine. I don't really feel anything"

"You're tough" Killua said and then Leorio checks her wound.

"I'll treat your wounds" Leorio said.

"Okay.."

"Next match: Gon vs Hanzo!" the two goes to the center and face each other.

What did Hisoka said to Chika? The next match is Gon and Hanzo. Who will win this match?
