Normal POV

"Oi! Give that back to me!" You yelled as you try to catch Killua because he stole your chocolate, again.

"Make me! Nyeh!" Killua stick his tongue out like a five year old.

"Killua! That's mine!" 

"Finder's keepers, losers weepers! Haha!"

Killua turned the corner and so did you but... BAM! Your butt made contact with the hard floor. 

"Owie~" You look up and saw Illumi.

You blush slightly then looked down. The reason why you're blushing, well you know that you're an adoptive child of the Zoldyck family. Illumi saved you in the forest when the wolves was about to eat you.

Then he brought you home and from that day on, you have a secret crush on Illumi. Not just crush like you 'like' him just as a crush, but you love him. Only Kalluto and Killua knows about your secret because they caught you before and force you to admit, but they had promise that they won't tell Illumi because if they do, you'll drown them.

Your Nen ability is the four elements. Air, Earth, Water and Fire. You like using the Air element the most because it can make you fly. You stood up then bowed politely.

"Gomenasai a-aniki." You apologise.

As much as you hate to call Illumi by the name aniki, you have to because you're just adopted so everyone is your family. You don't want to treat Illumi like your own brother, you want to love him more than that.

After I apologized, Illumi just looked at me, then walked past me like nothing happened. I wanted to hug him so much and confess what I'm feeling towards him. I was about to walk away, but stop when Illumi spoke.

"Can't you just buy a new chocolate?" He ask and I turned around to face his back.

"I-I don't have any money and... I'm scared to go out there a-alone." I blush in embarrassment as I answer his question.

"I see, come." Was all Illumi said and you were confuse at the moment until you understood it.

You ran beside him and was ready to catch Killua with him since this always happen. Every time Killua would steal something away from you, you and Illumi would go after him and get your stuff that he stole back and make Killua pay by teasing him all day that you got your stuff back.

But instead of going after Killua, which was what you were expecting and was already planning on how to punish him, Illumi lead you outside of the mansion. You stayed behind the door, hiding and was scared to go outside.

Since the day Illumi had found you, you were scared to go outside of the Zoldyck's mansion because you were thinking that the wolves would come back and the people who wanted to kill you for a long time now would find you and kill you once and for all.

"A-aniki..." You whispered as you look around outside, bringing back the childhood memories you have.

Flashback

"Mummy, I-I'm s-scared." You cried as you clutch onto your mother's old clothes.

Your mother turned around and knelt down so she can be the same height as yours.

"Hey Y/n, promise me one thing." A tear fell down your mother's eyes.

"B-but..." You whimpered.

"Just say you'll do it."

"I-I'll d-do it."

"Promise me that you'll only use the element of darkness for emergency. Don't let your hatred control over you. I love you sweetie, live on cause one day, you're gonna find someone who would care for you and would love you like me and your father did." She kiss your forehead then hid you in the drawer.

"I promise." You whispered to yourself.

All you could do was curled up into a ball, then cry, wishing all of the things that was happening right now would end. You see, you were born when you were six months and everyone in your village thinks that you were curse.

Your parents didn't care when you were born though because they love you with all their hearts. So as you grow up, people around you treated you like you don't belong there and they all throw stuff at you whenever you walk around the streets.

You didn't tell your parents because you didn't want to add problems for them, so you kept it to yourself and every time you go home, you always have to pretend that you were happy and put a fake smile on your face.

This treatment causes you to be shy and scared around people. Some kids bullies and hurt you when you wanted to play with them. But you don't understand why all of them are afraid of you. You were normal, well, that's what you and your parents thought about it.

Until one day, you were alone at the park, on the seesaw, watching the kids that's the same as your age play soccer. You really want to join them, but you knew what was going to happen, so you didn't dare to join them.

But one kid accidentally kick the ball towards where you were, and they all looked at you with fear and anger. You did what other people would have done. You stood up, pick the ball and walk towards the other kids, offering them the soccer ball.

"H-here you go." You said shyly.

"The monster cursed the ball and she'll curse us all! Run!" One of the boy said and everyone started running away.

This broke your heart into millions of pieces and it made you think.

'Why? Why are they running away? Why did they call me a monster? What did I do to deserve this? I haven't done anything! Why are they running away?! All my life, I only wanted to play with them and experience fun! I didn't even harm them so why they treat me like a pest! I have enough!'

Everything around you became red and all you could see was the children running away. You stretch your right hand and the children's shadow started to surround them and pull them down. You could hear a cackling noise, but you ignored it.

All you could think right now is to... kill everyone. Your heart was full of hatred and you couldn't take it anymore. The next thing that happened was dark creatures with red eyes started to appear. 

The children were screaming in pain and in fear, they beg for you not to kill them, but all you could hear was the cackling noise.

"Yes, that's it. Kill them, kill them all. They deserve it! They didn't want you to play with them so why perish them?" The voice that was cackling before told you.

As the children were about to disappear and get eaten by the darkness, you felt someone pushing you from your side and the next thing you know, you were down the ground. You look up to see one of the people from your village hits you so you won't kill the children.

"Monster!" The person shouted.

"I am not a monster!" You screamed while extending your left hand, controlling the wind and sent the man flying away, crashing into a wall.

Your recent movements shock you and you look down your hand. 'What's happening to me?' When you look up, all the people who saw what just happened got scared of you. So you immediately stood up and ran home.

That's when the whole village people decided to go after you and kill you. Your parents knew about your power and they said that you got it from your mother's side. The people burned your house and you manage to escape when your father pulled you outside the drawer and lead you outside.

You ran and ran because that's what your father told you and you made a promise that you won't look back. As you were running, tears was falling down and then you got trip over. You fell down and cried loudly, not knowing where you were.

Then you heard a wolf howling and the next thing you knew was they were surrounding you. You didn't care whether you live or die because you just lost the most important people in your life. As you were about to get eaten, that's where Illumi rescued you.

He took you in and gave you shelter. He even taught you how to use your power, which he called Nen, properly and you discover that you have the power of element. As for the element of the darkness, only you were the one who knows about it.

End of Flashback

"There's nothing to worry about." Illumi smiled to you, which encourage you to take your first step towards the outside the mansion.

Reader's POV

Alright, here I go. I'll take the first step for you Illumi. If you only knew how much I love you. Not as a brother, but more than that.

I took the first step, which was so far, so good. I took another step then the air hit my face, which was really refreshing. Then it was now comfortable so I ran outside for a little bit, until I stop. I look around, taking the view of the sky, sun, grass, trees and many more things that you could see at the outside world.

It made me happy to see Illumi standing there, patiently waiting for me. Without thinking, I ran towards him and swung my arms around his neck. His body stiffen and he caught me in his arms at ease. Though his facial reaction is still the same as usual, emotionless.

"Thank you so much... aniki!" I exclaimed.

As soon as I said that, he puts me down the ground and I stood there, waiting for him to say anything.

"Are you done now? We don't have all day." He stated which made me pout.

Way to ruin my fun.

So I followed him to wherever he was going without any talking, which was really really weird. I wanted to talk to him but my shyness was taking over me. While we were walking in the forest, out of the mansion now, I felt like someone is following me.

I look at Illumi to see if he sense it too, but he seems too calm to notice or he did feel it but he's not showing it. To make sure, I inhaled and gather all my courage to ask him ONE question if he can feel too.

"A-a-aniki..." I stuttered the words.

"I know." Was all he has to say for me to know that he felt it as well.

I'm going to protect you Illumi even if it cost my life.

I never let my guard down and I looked around me. I know I may look shy and delicate but when it comes to fighting, I show no mercy. 

"Hey Y/n." Illumi spoke which kind of frighten me because I was too focus on finding the enemy but then he just started speaking.

"Y-yes A-aniki?" I stuttered as always and he sigh, which I don't know why.

"Would you rather be with Killua right now or... me?" He ask all of the sudden which caught me off-guard.

Of course I would rather be with you Illumi. There's no place I rather be when I am with you.

But my shyness took over and answered the wrong answer that should had been my real answer.

"W-with K-Kill-lua." I replied and he stop walking, which made me step ahead of him before I stop.

"I see." Was all he said and he turned around to where we sense someone following us.

"Take care of her will you?" Was all he said before he disappeared to who knows where.

I couldn't even feel his presence anymore. Either he really left, or he's using Zetsu. Either way, he left me. Also, I was wondering what he just said.

"Sorry, I ruined your time with him." The familiar voice of Killua said and he went out of the bush while smiling.

Oh, now I know why he ask that question. But why would he ask it? Could he... no, he can't. I'm just a sister to him.

"EARTH TO Y/N! ARE YOU STILL THERE?!" Killua screamed which startled me.

"AAAH!" I squealed while using the wind to send him backwards then I raise my hand, making the ground surround him.

As soon a I realize what just happened, Killua's half body was covered in earth ground. He had a shock mix with frighten face.

"Geez Y/n, you got to stop being so scared all the time." He stated, his face turning back to his bored one.

"I-I'm so sorry a-aniki!" I apologised, making the earth drop so he can be free.

"Seriously though, were you thinking about him again?" He ask which made my face flush.

"S-stop that!" I exclaimed and he laugh at me.

I glared at him and he stick his tongue out to annoy me even more. Suddenly, we both heard something and I wasn't fast enough to react, but Killua was. He dashed towards me and tackled me down the ground while knives fly above us.

We both grunted as we met the ground. Killua immediately went off me and looked around with his guard on. I sat up and concentrate then touched the ground. By doing this, I could sense if someone is nearby. 

I detected two people surrounding us. I made eye contact with Killua using the wind to tell him which direction the enemies are and he nod. I sent him to the one near him which was hiding behind a bush and I went to the one near me which was up the tree.

We made eye contact for the last time then went for an attack. I controlled the tree of the opponent that I have to capture him or her. The tree burned and I knew that one of the Nen ability of my opponent is fire.

Kalluto told me once to know what your opponent can do first before showing your full power towards the enemy. In that way, I could have the advantage to defeat my enemy. 

I'll use the Earth element for now.

Soon, my opponent showed his identity, which was a man with a white mask. I used the ground to trap him like what happened to Killua earlier. The guy made a simple hand motion by swinging his hand from left tor right, then the ground that was trapping him became wet and it fell down the ground.

Water Bender?

Soon, water from below me started rising up and surrounding me. I smirk as I also controlled the water and made it attack him, but he was stronger than I thought. He back-fired the water at me so I have no choice but to use the element of fire to dry the water.

He made a few hand-sign, then huge amount of water rise up from the ground, drowning me inside. I tried to use the element of fire, but it didn't work, he was too strong for me to handle. I was still holding my breathe, trying anything to stop him from drowning me.

I tried controlling the water, but it won't work. I didn't want to use the element of air yet, but I have no choice so I made an air bubble inside the water. I gasp for air and breathed. 

Alright, he leave me no choice but to use the four elements.

I exploded his water with air and attacked him all at once. Using air, earth, fire and water to capture him but even though I'm using all of them, it doesn't seem like I was damaging him. It feels like I was versing a doll that was being controlled by something else.

Killua's POV

"Who are you!"I demanded an answer without asking.

I pointed my sharp nails towards my opponent who turn out to be a girl.

"Kill me." She commanded.

"What do you want from us?!" I ask once again.

"Kill me if you want, I won't tell you anything!" And with that, I slash her chest with my sharp nail and she just laugh.

That's when I know that she doesn't have a body, or a spirit. She was just a doll, being manipulated by someone.

"All we want is for her to use the element of darkness again because we want her to know that darkness is much powerful than anything." She stated and I knew what she was talking about.

Y/n! She's in trouble!

And from that moment, I felt a really strong aura coming from where Y/n. I could feel her blood-lust. I ripped the head of the woman and it fell down the ground. When I was about to leave, the hand of the woman held my ankle, stopping me from taking another step.

"I-I-I w-w-won't l-l-let y-y-you i-i-interfere!" The woman cackled at the head that I just took off.

Suddenly, Y/n's blood-lust disappeared and the woman fell down the ground, as if no one is manipulating her anymore. I rush to where Y/n was and saw Illumi already carrying her, unconscious, and the person was down the ground, all ripped into pieces.

"Kil, I told you to watch over her not leave her." Illumi said and I put my glaring face on.

Damn it! He's right. If it wasn't for me, then Y/n would still be fine.

Reader's POV also a time skip

I opened my groggy eyes, wondering where I was. My sight was blurry at first but then it cleared. I sat up, trying to remember what happened or how I ended up here. Then everything came back to me.

Flashback

"Use it." He said and I was confuse by it.

"U-use what?" I curse me for stuttering.

I'm in the middle of a battle and I was stuttering? Just great.

"You know what it is, the most powerful in your elements." He commented.

"W-who are you?" I questioned.

"You know who I am, I'm the one who gave life to you." My eyes widen at what he just said.

My father? No way, he died that day.

"Lies! My father is dead! You're just a doll being manipulated by someone!"

"I didn't said the one who raise you, but I am your real father."

"W-what do you m-mean? My real parents raise me and not you!"

"No, they're your impostor parents. You see, they stole you from us when you were born because your mum was born with the most powerful element which was the darkness. That was the reason why they stole you, to experiment you and to extract the element of darkness withing you." He explained and I got a bit annoyed.

"Why didn't you try to get me back?" I ask.

"Because I have to protect your mother. She was dying that day and she was also trying to fight back. You see, I only have the element of water so I can't do much with it but you and your mum traits all of the elements."

"You're wrong!" I stated and he gave me a questioning face. "The most powerful element is the four main element which is air, fire, water and earth. It is nothing compare to darkness!" 

"Y/n..." He step forward but everything went red and you knew what was going on, but you try to fight it.

"Don't fight it, don't hold it back, let it all out." He said and I stepped backwards.

"Stop! Please, I don't want to hurt anyone!" I cried.

"Come on Y/n, you can do it. If you don't, I'll kill the person you love... Illumi." This does it.

I let it all out and attacked him with the element of darkness. I was filled with rage, anger and blood-lust.

"If you dare touch him, I will kill you!" I growled, not realising that it was still me.

'Kill him' the voice in my head said.

I have no control of my body, I cannot stop, all I think was to kill the man, which turn out to be my father but I didn't care. Anyone who would try and kill Illumi would have to go through me first.

'Kill him!'

And there I was, slashing and attacking the man with an incredible speed. It felt like I was just standing there, watching it happen and my body was doing everything on its own without me controlling it.

Slash here, slash there, the man was getting ripped but no blood was coming out. Soon, the mask came off and I saw the face and as soon that I saw it, I felt something inside me telling me that he was really my father.

I tried to stop, but couldn't. I tried to control my body, but failed. The only thing that I could do was cry and I could feel tears streaming down my face.

Stop! Please stop! Stop it right now! Someone, please help me!

'You don't need help, kill! Just kill! Hahaha!'

It was too late, the man was now ripped in pieces but there was a smile in his face.

"Thank... you..." Was his last word before I saw the life disappear in his eyes.

NOOOOO!

I still couldn't stop, I was still attacking him.

Just please stop it!

'This is the power of darkness, can you feel the power?!'

"Y/n..." I heard a voice and I turned around and saw the person that I have love the most... Illumi.

No! Run! Go away! I warned him but he cannot hear it.

'It will be my pleasure to kill him! KILL!'

Then, my body started rushing towards him. I tried to stop but it won't work, but I was still trying.

No! Stop! Illumi, stay away! Get out of the way! Run! I beg you!

I was still going straight to him, it was coming, my nails went out sharp just like Killua's one, ready to slash him into pieces just like what I did to my father. 

Dodge it! 

Why? Why can't he hear me? Why can't he know that I'm here?! WHY WON'T HE RUN AWAY?!

"Y/n..." I was shock that he said my name.

I did my first attack by swinging my right hand towards his chest and he didn't dodge it so it was a clean cut.

Illumi! Run!

"I know you can do it Y/n, come on. I know you're still there."

Run! 

I made another attack and this time towards his face. I tried to stop it so it only made a little scratch to his right cheek, but I smack him.

"Fight it. I know you can do it." 

I will try.

My body made a dark ball and it was growing rapidly.

No, enough is enough! I won't let myself hurt Illumi! This is my body and no one can control it!

'Kill...'

NEVER!

Everything went white and I felt myself falling down the ground, then blackout.

End of Flashback

"How are you feeling?" A familiar voice ask and I look at my right and immediately cry as soon as I saw the damage on his chest and on his face that I made.

"I-i-i-i'm so sorry!" I cried while covering my face.

I felt a strong arms wrapped around me and I look up to see Illumi comforting me.

"It's alright, as long as your safe, then it will be fine." He said, still with his emotionless face on.

I wrapped my arms around his with caring so I won't hurt him because of his wounds.

"Y/n, I have something to tell you." He said and I look up, shock at what I was seeing.

Illumi, his face shows that he was worrying and this was the first time that I saw him having emotions.

"Promise me you will never do that again, choose Killua over me." He whispered and I nod.

"I promise. A-and..." This was the time I wanted to tell him but I was interrupted by something soft on my lip.

I look at what it was and saw Illumi... kissing me! I pulled away, don't what to say and I could tell that I'm as red as tomato right now.

"Why did you pull back? You love me right? Kalluto told me." He said and I know I blush even more.

Kalluto! How could you betray me?!

"I know that you only see me as a brother..." I cut him off.

"N-no! I-I love y-you..." I stutter and he smash his lip on my one.

"Then there's no problem between you and me. You see, I have love you since the day I've found you and it hurt me everytime you call me your aniki, knowing that you only see me as your brother but when Kalluto told me the truth, I couldn't help myself but to make you mine immediately." 

"Remember Y/n, you are only mine and mine only. I don't want you choosing Killua over me, get that?" He questioned and I smiled.

"O-of course Illumi. Beside, there's no place I rather be but beside you." And with that, we went for another passionate kiss.

And from that day on, they live happily ever after.
