We take the trail into a forested area as the sun when down "think that cabins abandoned?" I ask honestly not wanting to spend the time outside being eaten up by mosquitoes.

The others shrug and walk twords the cabin "there might be someone but were not sure until we try" Fu says with a laugh and opens the door to find a woman laying on the floor crying. We help her up and sit her down "hey are you ok?" Little Jimmy asks looking her over for wounds finding some deep cuts on her arms and legs.

She weeps for a few minutes and then says "my husband is in trouble please help him" she points outside to a creature looking at us with a smirk "Little Jimmy  Lehona stay and keep her safe, Fu come with me" Fu grabs out his bowstaff, which was his weapon of choice, and I grab my axe that can detach into a hatchet for close quarters combat and we run outside and chase after the beast.

Fu lunges up the trees going from branch to branch gaining after, as I make my way on the ground below chopping trees that he was on (only once and awhile I didn't want to kill every tree in the forest). The beast jumps from branches faster then I or Fu could ever accomplish so I pick up speed and close in to see something weird,  the beast changes with something similar to itself and so I run faster jumping up and landing and tackling the monster to the ground floor.

Fu caught up close behind me and I say "continue further I saw another one you need to catch him" he nods and picks up the chase once more. The yellow furred monster kicks me back to the base of a tree and growls "you made a mistake kid!" I take off the hilt of my axe and made it a hatchet "you did too for hurting someone who didn't deserve what happened where is the woman's husband" I lunge twords the beast and he kicks me again with his strong legs, I immediately lunge again with the same result. 

The animal laughed "you dont know when to quit do you" I scream taking him off guard throwing him to the ground and raised my hatchet ready to strike "where is he?" I ask again acting serious but was only bluffing I wasn't sure if I would ever brave up to strike another down but to be a Hunter I might have to at some point.

"Rinuto!" Someone screams and I look up noticing Fu and the other Monster.

I look at them and laugh standing up "this was a test wasn't it?" Fu nods and the monster talks that I was threatening "you all passed with flying colors" I help him up and ask him to explain when we get back tomthe cabin. We walked back chatting about how me and Fu chased them, they praised us for our speed and ability to keep up in a chase, and how I built up speed when it was known I would be able to catch him at base pace. He aslo scolded me on if I wanted to threaten him for info don't make it so obvious that it was a bluff, make it more "believable".

We came back and found the "husband" was talking to the others and we all met ouside on the front lawn "were shifter we make it look like were a young family in aid to see the applicant or team of applicants compassion" he explains that tne two of them we chased were actually the man and womans parents and that they would take them to the actual starting line "so all we have went through was just to weed out the weak links" Lehona deduced noding.

The man nods and says "it will only get worse from there but we will be taking you all to the starting area now" they take us outside and pick us up and fly into the sky, this was the worst time to have fear of hights but that would have to dissipate soon enough.
