I ran like a the first few hours, being as there was an actual monster behind him and his old and new friends "shoot!" I say as everyone kept going, I jumped back to the monster and use my axe on the beasts head.

With a defining hit the axe makes no dent in the monsters skull and the axe head vibrates out of my hands and into the ground. My eyes bulge and I make a run for it grabbing the axe and bursts out running again. Someone makes there way behind me and says "you think it would be wise to attack together with the rest of your friends the things skull isnt thick enough, to hold that but the force should nock it back on its hind corters" I turn to see a woman with a katana moving at the same pace.

I nod and yell "hey guys attack like I did as a group!" everyone nods and turns back simultaneously jumping up in the air drawing there weapons, i do the same as does the mystery girl. We all throw our combined power at the skull of the beast, the weapons were bounced back but contact made him fall on his back and didn't move.

The tough face of the girl instantly fades, she makes a worried face "oh I hope I didn't kill it!" She looks at it nearing close to see if its ok.

I look her and smile "animal person? Well thats not a good idea for this guy he will eat you up like a snack" she turns tword me and sticks tongue out and says "any animal can be tamed if you try hard enough" she reaches for his face and he wakes up and grabs the girl. She screams as he shakes her wildly and trys to bite her, I lunge at its hand and hits it with the axe head "just like butter" I laugh cutting part of the limb, the monster screeches dropping her.

I back track and catch her midair and I set her down gently "I don't think you want to go back to him now" the beast holds its wound and runs into the swamps deepest casams. She looks at me and nods "thanks for the save now we have to catch up with the rest of the crowd" we start running after the rest of the applicants, she ran faster then us.

I try to catch up "hey wait whats your name!" but she was gone before I could say anything else.

Later that night

Our guide stops in a clearing, the trees became more thick the further we advanced deeper, after saving the girl from the attack there was little resistance from the rest of the indigenous life besides for a few small creature we scared off.

He looks at the group of people and says "we will provide food and drink for all who didn't bring themselves items" some people who looked like natives who lived in the swamp handing everyone roasted pork and glasses of something green, I think they called it Aloe but I might be mistaken.

I only had a single loaf of bread left so I divided amongst everyone, some passedon my offer like Leorio who scoffed still mad at what went down between us "I dont need your hand outs" I shrug and move on to the next person.

I make a sandwich out of my pieces but I have a few extra left over, I spot the girl I saved from the thick head monster shes sitting under a tree putting a few bottles of Aloe in her bookbag. I walk twords her and ask "hey want a few pieces of bread I have extra" she looks at me and shake her head "no thanks" I sit down beside her "its good with the pork" she smiles and takes my offer.

She scarfs it down and I laugh "good isn't it? I made it myself from weat at my marketplace, and I added bits of beetroot" she laughs "I didn't even know it was in the loaf, it was definitely the best ive ever had" I point at the Aloe bottles and ask why she is packing it up.

"Good for burns, but also delicious to drink" I didn't know that but you learn something new everyday.

We talk about different things for a bit and then I laugh "I forgot, my names Rinuto" I hold out my hand to shake hers "Haru" she shakes it with a smile. Her eyes spot something behing me and she grabs her sword and slashes at whatever it is, I barely doge the blade but spots a big spider with its fangs bared, not knowing it actually grazed and left a gash on my face. It screeches and falls to ground dead.

She looks at me and screams, a drip of blood falls from my cheek, I feel the deep gash on my face going up to my forehead. I stand and hold the cut "its ok its just a scratch" her face goes slightly pale as she laughs "yeah a scratch that gushes like a raging river" she looks in her pack and finds some gause rapping it as best she could dabbing most of the blood away. She then takes her gloves off and holds her hand on my wound and she blinks, her eyes turn blue. Suddenly the pain numbs out and it doesn't feel like as bad as before, she cringes grinding her teeth in pain.

I look at her eyes a blue that flashed I understood what she was doing and say "your dealing with my pain just as I am, " I look at her and she blushes, I look at her and lean in for a kiss, she does the same without lifting her hand away from the bandages. We kiss for a few moments and then stop, she looks at me blushing heavily and stood up running away holding her face.

"What just happened? But I think I liked it" I rub my cheak and suddenly the pain comes back "oh theres the pain again!"
