Repetition Isnt Always Best

Rinuto Itashi and this is how I became a Hunter

I chopped the next log in half with the power of a highly skilled lumber splitter, the pieces fall to the ground so I pick them up and add them to the pile. Sweat dripps from my nose and I wipe my forehead, the sun was directly above signaling my food was ready (I have no use for clocks I can use the moon and sun and tell you what time it is). I enter my home and grab my roast out of the cooker, set it on the plate and dig into the meat with ravenous speed "good eats, good life" I laugh and burp setting down the last bone.

I let my stomach settle and then go right back outside to begin watering my beat root crop, which would last until supper time (a nice soup sounds good). I water for a few hours, have to chase off a few pesky animals dining for another hour, and then walk back to rhe house, eat my dinner, read a good book, and sleep. That was my live at its fullest nothing really happened in my neck of the woods, besides the passing trader now and again nothing special ever happened.

My schedule (not that anyone would care but still)

Wake up

Breakfast

Split logs for firewood/ various other chores (logs usually last before lunch)

Manage my animal problem around the home (optional, not problem most times only sometimes)

Go out for anything nesisary in Asaba

Come back for lunch

Tend to beat root crop

Chase of animals a second time

Come back for supper

Read and then go to bed

-Repeat Daily-

And I've been doing this for 18 years.....yeah 18, since I was able to walk I would tend to the farm problems with my uncle, but he has since passed away and I took control of the farm to keep myself afloat im this world. Many people in the nearby village of Asaba always ask if I need help or a place to stay but I always tell them the same "nah I don't need your charity. I got my uncles working ethic, do things right or don't do them at all" and I know thats a stupid sounding ethic but it was how I survived after he passed away, if I couldnt accomplish something myself effectively I worked until I got it down correctly.

Now being a farm bot is great in all but it doesn't seem to be much more then a daily grind of mind crushing boredom, so I decided that I should look to the future and become a Hunter, my reasons is to see the world and get into different adventures.

I dump the roasts bones into a trashbag and set to packing up my things "ok books, I might need a few to pass the time, axe, ill grab that when I walk out to head to port for transport to the exam" I choose a axe as my main weapon of choice because why not? I carry the thing all the time to chop wood so I might as well make use of the familiarity of the tool to good use. I add a few other things to my pack and head outside where my neighbor, an young couple with a small son were waiting "you all ready to head out Rinuto?" The man asks me and I smile giving him a thumbs up "its all yours, I might never come back but I will make sure to stop in if I can" he nods and I grab my axe and run towards town waving them goodbye.

My adventure has begun!
