Kira Zoldyck... A small, shy, quiet and polite young lady. She was raised to always take orders... She was always taught of how if anyone in the family was in danger... She risked her life for them... She was always told

"In a real situation, we matter. You don't matter"

And just like an obedient puppy, she replied with..

"I don't matter.."

That's just the way her insane family had worked.. Always using her as a step stool, never appreciating her, always abusing, never forgiving... She was never treated the way any human should be... Always being chained up in a cell in the family's deep, dark and damp dungeons... Only given food once every 2 months...

Kira was always bossed around, but because of her naturally shy nature. She never had the tongue or courage to fight back.. Always afraid and never happy... Having a permanent frown, plastered on her pale, almost porcelain face, Kira had finally finished her list of over 500 chores.. Despite the castle having maids, the king and queen treated their own daughter no different.. Why is she being treated different than her 4 other siblings you ask?

Her siblings.. Being much more successful.. Her 3 sisters, much more beautiful and fair.. Light, soft skin, fine, thin hair and beautiful body curves... Her mothers rule was always "beauty before brains" but Kira.. Couldn't live by this rule.. She was always smarter than everyone else in her family... With a current I.Q. Of over 200, she was always outsmarting her siblings and even her parents.. Because of this, they all would treat her with disgusting disrespect..

Always being ignored, the Young Kira, exhausted from the last few months of her heartbroken life, had slowly drifted off in a sweet release..

It's so cold... I can never find any warmth... No love or understanding until... I feel this very warm... No... Hot..? Presence enter within my peripheral vision... It was a girl.. She looked around my age... She had thick, black, spiky hair. Tied up in a ponytail, beautiful warm brown and yellow eyes.. She was much tanner than I...

I didn't know what to think of her but I was immediately drawn to her.. I can't understand why... I hated it when I couldn't solve something.. I hated being stuck but for some reason... I wasn't frustrated at all... If anything j felt.. Extreme happiness... Me, slowly staggering to her, cautious of her since I had no idea who she was..

Just as I was about to run away, she pulled me into her.. This tight warmth... Felt almost... Blissful.. Her warm arms around me, I decide to do the same.. I don't know what emotion to preview other than security.. I felt so... Safe around her... Felt as thought all of my troubles from the past has just... Vanished... I'm about to let go and ask who she is, but before I get any chance to even breath, she whispers in my ear, her eyes watery..

"It's ok now.. I'm going to protect you.. No matter what.."

My eyes widen from her words as I feel my own eyes begin to become wet. I bring my eyes to hers and I feel her slowly letting go... I never wanted the embrace to end but, she was... Disappearing....! She faded into what had seemed billions of small lights..

"What kind of psychological trick is this..."

I keep thinking to myself that there had to be a reason for this...

I wake up only to find that I hadn't moved an inch.. I guess I don't move in my sleep... I slowly raise my hand to my head as I'm still in shock from remembering my dream...

I hear the chains connected to my wrists rattle as I try to scratch my head. I groggily rub my eyes, which had horrible bags from lack of sleep and constant exhaustion... But that's what you get when you live with a family like mine... I was supposed to take the throne after my oldest sister.. Illuni-sama... But then, every since my intelligence was revealed, I got pushed behind Miruka... I'm still older than my other sister and brother but.. Knowing my family I'm probably just going to die here...
