Hunter's New Family
Hello, everyone! So, this is my first 101 Dalmatian Street fanfiction, and I hope I've done a great job here. This story took place after the events of the episode "The De Vil Wears Puppies." After watching that episode, I was thinking what would happened next. What happened if Hunter joins with the Dalmatian Family? Here it is! Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bus left port for the Dalmatian family, Fergus, Sid, Big Fee, and Clarissa to send them all home. Just then, Dizzy and Dee just remembered someone that needs a happy ending like them.
"Mommy, Daddy, where is Mr. Funny Face?" Dizzy asked.
"Yeah, why can't he be with us?" Dee Dee added.
"Oh dear, that Mr. Funny Face can't be with us. He can take care of himself," Delilah replied.
"And, duh, he almost got us all killed with his great-aunt," Dolly recalled.
"But he isn't that bad," Dee Dee said.
"He just want to be loved," Dizzy continued.
"He saying that so you won't hurt him," Dylan scoffed.
"It's true, Dylan," Diesel intervened, "He was locked on that container for months, and that crazy lady didn't care about what happen to him."
"She even threw him into the container with us and trapped us all there," Delgado explained.
"That lady doesn't care about that kid. She only wants to have our fur to be her coat," Dawkins added.
"And besides, he's on his own now, while we have each other. We can't that let him live alone, are we?" Deepak questioned as the other puppies nodded,
Dylan and Dolly didn't want to believe that Hunter was innocent and didn't want to give him a chance, but they were there when Hunter helped them all from getting killed by Cruella.
"Now that I think about it, he did free the puppies while freeing himself from the cages," Dolly remembered.
"He threw his own cat to save us, and Mom and Dad," Dylan added, "But let's not forget he spent his time trying to kidnap us. He lured us into a trap, kidnapped Dorothy amd Dante, almost locked us in a container, and let his great-aunt kill us. Why should we feel pity for him?!"
Just then, Dorothy crawled on Dylan's leg, and looked at him with cute teary puppy eyes. She whimpered as she reminded him that Hunter indeed did something good this time.
"Aww, and he saved you, too," Dylan patted Dorothy's head. Then, he turned to his mother, "What do you think, Mom?"
"Hmm," Delilah thought, "I guess we could give Hunter a chance after he saved all of us from his own great-aunt."
Dolly sighed frustratingly, "Alright. Let's go back."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the port, Hunter is still chasing a wet Cuddles like a dog. Suddenly, he noticed the red bus drove back in front of him as he let Cuddles go, and froze still in fear. The bus stopped before hitting him as he thought.
When the door opened, Delilah and Doug walked out of the bus.
"Hello there... Still Hunter, right?" Delilah greeted nicely, but Hunter backed away a little and whimpered.
"Don't worry, we won't hurt you anymore," Doug said, took a little step forward.
"We haven't got a chance to say thank you for... saving us from that monster, Cruella De Vil! And we also want to thank you for saving our little Dorothy."
Dorothy showed up with Delilah's paw on her head, "Hi!" the little pup waved.
Hunter waved back at her softly.
"We're not just here to thank you, "Doug continued to explain, "You see, our pups told us that you never knew what your great-aunt had planned for us. You were just following orders because Cruella is the only family you've got."
"You poor dear. Is it really true? Are you all alone? Your great-aunt never called or got suspicious that you've been gone in that container for 6 months?" Delilah asked in pity.
Since Hunter can understand what the dogs said because of spending his 6 months in the container, being fed and treated like a dog, he sadly nodded with tears in his eyes.
"That's a shame. That woman never think of anyone but herself! You don't deserve to be related to her at all, Hunter," the mother dog told him, "Since that woman is in jail now, and... you don't have anyone anymore..., my husband and I were thinking that... when our pups told us about you... why can't you join us?"
Hunter asked in confuse, "W-what... what do you mean?"
"We mean, you can stay with us!" Doug clarified, "We have a big house, we have a lot of food, and there's plenty of room, even for a human."
The puppies, except Dylan and Dolly, gasped happily as they cheered in excitement.
The two oldest siblings were worried as they rushed to their parents.
"Mom, Dad, are you serious? After what Hunter did to us?" Dylan glared at the young De Vil.
"Now, dear, it's okay. Let your dad and I handle this," Delilah said calmly,
"But Mom, we don't trust him," Dolly whispered.
"Come on, Dolly, everyone deserves a second chance. You gave Delilah a chance to be your new mother, you gave Dylan a chance to be your new brother, so why not Hunter?" Doug made a point.
Before Doug and Delilah got married, Dolly wasn't comfortable for having a stepmother, because she loves her biological mother very much and missed her, but she gave Delilah a chance because her dad loves her. If it means giving Hunter a second chance, then it would be fair.
"Well, I guess you're right, Dad," Dolly nodded at Doug.
"Come on, Dolly, don't tell me you're into this, too!" Dylan exclaimed in worry.
"Hey, when we first met, I don't like you being my brother because you're a clean freak, but look what my chance did, it paid off, and I'm very happy that you're my brother. You didn't like me too because I was so chaotic and whatever you called me, but when you gave me a chance, you were happy that I'm your sister. So, maybe giving Hunter chance would change our minds about him," Dolly explained.
Dylan still wasn't so sure of giving Hunter another chance since that human tricked him and the whole family, but... it wouldn't hurt if they give him a chance.
"Alright... but I'm doing this because you agreed so," he said to Dolly.
"It's a win-win!" Doug cheered.
"Come on, Hunter, let's go home with us," Delilah extended her paw to him, but Hunter still backed away in fear.
Seeing how scared Hunter is, Dizzy and Dee Dee get off the bus, and ran towards him, Mr. Funny Face!"
"Come on, Mr. Funny Face, you can come home with us!" Dee Dee pulled his arm.
"It'll be so much fun!" Dizzy chuckled in excitement.
He couldn't resist the cuteness of these two puppies, and he can't deny this opportunity from the dogs of having a family and a home, Hunter stood up both of his legs, and let Dizzy and Dee Dee guide him into the bus.
Doug, Delilah, Dylan and Dolly followed as they got on the bus.
"Listen, sis, are you sure this is a good idea?" Dylan asked in doubt.
"I don't know, but... I think the pups were right about him... that he told them he was all alone now," Dolly answered, "I think we should keep an eye on him at all cost."
"Got it."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On their way home, Hunter sat at the back seat, receiving a couple of hugs from the puppies. Aside from Dizzy and Dee, there was Deepak, the Triple D, Dorothy, and few others.
Dante was at the corner of the back seat, still afraid of Hunter when he captured him.
Hunter felt guilty as he remembered how we threatened the poor little dark-colored Dalmatian. He reached his hand to Dante, and patted him on the head.
Dante felt so... happy. He used to like predicting bad things happen in the future, and he loved it when it came true. But this time, he smiled when Hunter patted him, and wagged his tail.
Just then, Dorothy jumped into Hunter's lap, and cuddled on him.
"Great to see you again, little one," Hunter picked up Dorothy, and petted her.
Dylan and Dolly still watched the human petted their youngest sister as they still thought suspiciously about him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When they arrived in Dalmatian Street, the bus stopped in front of the Dalmatian Family's house. Clarissa wanted to get off first.
"Thank you, Dalmatians, for bringing me back home," the Corgi said in an unwell-mannered, "I still despise you, but I won't let a human like that woman treat any dog like that. No need to thank me." Without looking, she entered her house through the pet door.
"Ugh. Obviously, she helped just a little bit," Dolly rolled her eyes as she hopped off the bus.
As the puppies got off one by one, Fergus, Big Fee, and Sid met up with Dylan and Dolly.
"Well, D-dog, it's been fun rescuing you guys from the crazy lady," the fox.
"Thanks for all your help, Fergus. We don't know what will happen if you haven't come along," Dylan said.
"Eh. We may be stray and wild, but we can't let humans kill you dogs," Big Fee smirked, "Well, we better head back to the park. I hope there will be more garbage for us."
"See you guys, later," Fergus winked as he ran off with Big Fee and Sid.
"See ya, guys. Thanks for everything!" Dolly waved.
Hunter got off the bus the last as he carried Dizzy and Dee Dee in his hands.
"Alright, everyone, time to get inside," Delilah scanned her paw on the scanner, opening the door.
The puppies rushed inside, while Dizzy and Dee Dee hopped off from Hunter's hands, and guided him in.
"Remember, Mr. Funny Face? This is our home!" Dizzy said.
"And it's your home now, too," Dee Dee added.
Delilah looked at the clock, carrying a first aid kit in her mouth, "I know that we have a long night last night, but I still have to go to work. No excuses today."
"So am I," Doug wore his helmet, and followed Delilah all the way out of the door, "I know some of you can't get over about what happened last night, but I know you're so brave enough to survive. All of you. And I believed in you." He burst into tears as he watched his pups smiling at him. "Be brave, children. I must go...," but before Doug could leave, he opened up his paws, and cried, "GROUP HUG!"
The small puppies rushed to hug their father.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A minute later, Doug walked away crying, while Delilah still gave notes to their oldest pups.
"Remember, Dylan, Dolly, take care of Hunter, too. He's still brand new," she said before leaving.
"We will, Mom. Bye!" Dylan exclaimed before Dolly closed the door.
The step-siblings turned to the puppies as Dolly announced, "Alright, everyone. It's been a long night. So, who wants to take a bath!"
The puppies rushed to the bathroom as they were excited to take a bath.
"Come on, Mr. Funny Face, you can take a bath with us," Dee Dee giggled as she and Dizzy guided Hunter to the bathroom.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Dylan asked.
"If we're not sure, we should still keep an eye on him," Dolly suggested as both of them nodded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Throughout the day, the puppies gave Hunter a tour around the house, even though he was already in their house before, but there are other things he doesn't know about their household yet. Some puppies showed him their talent and everyday hobbies.
Diesel dug a deep hole on the floor as Hunter did the same, but he is a slow digger than Diesel as he tried to catch up with the pup.
The Triple D did a live blog on their phone as they tried to do something cute. Hunter was their beside the camera as he took their picture whenever they do something cute. He joined in too help them get more likes and followers for them.
Delgado was running and rolling all over the house with his wheelchair, while Hunter tried to catch up with him like a dog, but whenever Delgado made a turn, Hunter ended up hitting thenwalls, and made a mess, much to Dylan's dismay, but satisfied Dolly.
"Haha! I think I like him already!" Dolly laughed.
"Whatever, sis!" Dylan groaned.
Next, D.J. was playing her keyboard while Hunter was watching beside him. D.J. offered Hunter his headphones so he could listen to the music as he played. The human boy seemed to like it.
Da Vinci showed Hunter what she was drawing on the wall at their backyard as she kept using paint with her paws.
Deepak was doing yoga on a pillow as Hunter tried to copy him.
On the other room, Dylan tried to find Hunter to watch over him just in case if he has done anything bad to the puppies and their house. But suddenly, there was a bucket of pink paint fell all over him. Unaware to him, on the ceiling, Hunter played a prank on him with the Dimitris.
Dizzy, Dee and Dorothy were playing with Hunter as he scratched his ear with his foot. The three pups did the same.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later, Dylan and Dolly walked around the house, talking about Hunter.
"What do you think about him, bro?" Dolly asked.
"Well, sis, he was well-behaved, and he didn't do anything with the pups, lately," Dylan answered, "I think he did change."
Suddenly, the two saw Hunter reaching for a sewing kit on the top shelf, and walked away.
Dolly gasped, "Do you think...?"
"He's still going to turn us into a fur coat for his aunt!" Dylan screamed, "We have to stop him!"
When Dylan and Dolly ran off, Dante showed up from the door, and said, "I knew it! It's the end of our lives as we know it!"
When the step-siblings found Hunter, they were going to attack him, until...
As unexpected, it was revealed that Hunter used the sewing kit to fix Dawkins' doll, Princess Positron. When he's done, he gave the toy to the puppy.
"Princess Positron, you came back!" Dawkins hugged his toy, and jumped into Hunter and licked him while wagging his tail, "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" As he walked away, Dawkins encountered his older siblings, "Oh hello, you two. Hunter just fixed Princess Positron. I really owe it to him!"
Dylan and Dolly stared at Dawkins as they thought Hunter was still evil, but he was helping Dawkins fixing his favorite toy.
"Huh, that was... surprising," Dylan said.
"I know, right?" Dolly agreed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At night, Delilah and Doug Arrived Home, feeling a little tired.
"Honeys, I'm home!" Doug called.
The puppies popped their heads out from random rooms and places.
"Dad?!"
"Dad!"
"Dad!"
"Dad!"
"Dad."
"Dad."
"Dad!"
"Hello, Doug," Dawkins greeted.
The puppies dog piled their dad as they hugged him.
"Aww, I missed you, too," Doug cooed.
"Alright, everyone, let's have dinner!" Delilah announced.
That trigger word led the puppies into the dining room where they are ready for dinner.
While the puppies are ready, Hunter is still at the corner, watching the Dalmatian family ready to eat.
Just then, Dylan and Dolly approached Hunter, but he stepped back a little from them, feeling a little afraid.
"Hey there, Hunter," Dylan spoke first, "We wanted to say that we're sorry we didn't believe that you changed at the beginning, and we didn't trust you at all throughout the day."
"But after you spent good times with the puppies and helped Dawkins fix Princess Positron, we realized that we were wrong that we thought you haven't changed," Dolly added, "But you did. And the puppies were right about you. You were like this because Cruella never cared for you as a family at all. You were following her orders just to gain her trust."
"So, to make up to you, you should join us for dinner tonight... if you like kibbles," Dylan extened his paw to the De Vil boy.
After hearing these two older pups, which he still understands them, Hunter's whimpered turned to smile as he took Dylan's paw, "Sure. Okay."
"Hey, he's talking to us again!" Dylan said.
"That's a good sign," Dolly offered her own paw to Hunter as he accepted.
The two led the human to their dining table, where he sat between Dizzy and Dee Dee.
"Wow, I-I don't know what to say...," Hunter cried happily, "I thought my Great-Aunt Cruella is the only family I have because she always trust to do her work, but I never realized she was a monster to kill you all to make a fur coat out of you. But, for once, she was never been concern about me. Aside from not calling me for once when I was trapped in that container, she never noticed I was gone. She always think about her coat. If I thought I could get what she wants, she could trust me again..., but she still don't, and she do terrible things with innocent dogs like you," the puppies whimpered as they were sad for Hunter's story, "I was all alone, but you've got each other. You're all... family. And now, I'm not alone anymore. You welcomed me into your family. And I never been more...happy."
Dizzy and Dee Dee rubbed themselves on both Hunter's side, and he hugged them both and laughed.
Doug sniffed in tears, "That... was... so beautiful!"
"Okay, now. Dig in everyone!" Delilah said.
Dylan, Dolly and Dawkins fired the kibble machine, giving the kibble to each bowl.
When the puppies started eating, Hunter started to eat kibble as well... in a dog way as his food was scattered all over the place, making the puppies beside him laughing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later, after dinner, the puppies went to bed.
Hunter decided to sleep with Dizzy and Dee Dee as Delilah tucked them into bed, and turned the baby lamp on.
"Thank you, Mrs. Dalmatian," Hunter told the mother dog.
"Hush now," Delilah shushed him warmly, "It's time to go to sleep."
"But we still want to play with Mr. Funny Face!" Dizzy giggled as she jumped up and down with her sister
Dee Dee did the same, "Yeah! We would never ever ever ever..."
But then, both pups went to sleep with Hunter between them, going to sleep like a dog.
Delilah smiled warmly as she kissed the three of them, and walked out of the room.
Dylan and Dolly watched the whole scene as they cried happily.
"I guess you're right, sis," Dylan told Dolly, "Giving Hunter a second chance changed our mind about him."
"He's one of us, now," Dolly nodded.
While sleeping, Hunter scopped Dee Dee closer to him, and hugged her tightly
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great! I finished it! If possible, at the end of the episode, I would want to have the Dalmatian Family give Hunter a love, home, and family he deserved since his great-aunt didn't care for him at all. So, why not I create a fanfic about it? I hope you like this since this is my first 101DS fanfiction! Have a good day and stay safe at home!
