Chapter 9
(Chris's P.O.V.)
Ring. Ring. Grabbing my phone I checked the number. Charlie. I answered only to hear her frantic cries for help.
"Where the hell are you?" I demanded.
"I'm *sniff* in my room. Please, you have to *sniff* help me!"
"Alright, we're heading over now." When I looked over I saw that Jen had a horror stricken look. "It's alright, she's locked herself in her room. We just need to get over there, now."
"Bloody hell." She muttered as she dashed outside and into the car. I took the wheel as she dialed Sam's number. "Sam? Yea, it's me Jen. We just got a call from Charlie. I think that either she or someone else said Bloody Mary three times in a mirror or something. I didn't answer the phone but from what I got, she seemed really scared." She paused and listened for a moment. "I understand, just hurry." She hung up and stuffed her phone back into her pocket. "They said that they'll get her as fast as they can, they were already on their way home. "
We pulled up to Charlie's house and I slammed my fist on her door.
. . .
By the time that the guys got there Jen was comforting Charlie and I had taken down and hidden all the mirrors.
"She needs somewhere to stay. I think that she should stay with us." Sam said. I didn't feel like arguing, but Jen did.
"Don't you think that it would be safer if she stayed with Chris and I, I mean, we are women." Dean laughed and Sam nodded.
"True, although I was wondering. Why would Mary go after Charlie?" Dean coughed.
"Charlie, did you kill anyone?" No answer. "Tell us, it will make you feel better." Charlie nodded and soon explained how she and her boyfriend got into a fight. As she was leaving he declared to take his life if she left. She left and he killed himself.
"That's hardly your fault." I protested. Jen shook her head.
"A life is a life to this Mary person. I don't think that she cares." When we left I got the strange impression that there was something going on, but I couldn't place my finger on it.
(Jenny's P.O.V.)
After dropping Charlie off at our apartment we took down all of the mirrors and covered all reflective surfaces. I walked outside and saw Dean resting against the hood of his car.
"Hey, did Sammy boy tell you, we got a lead on this crazed spirit." I raised an eyebrow in questioning. "Mary Worthington, she was murdered when she was nineteen. Her eyes had been cut out. We think that she made her home in a mirror that is now in Toledo. I think that Sam and I should go find the mirror, summon her, and then destroy her."
"While we what, stay here and babysit? No way, Chris and I were here first." Dean frowned and glared at me.
"This could be dangerous, why do you want to die?" He practically spat. I grimaced at him and glared.
"I don't give one bloody fuck, my sister and I are going to take down every damn creature or monster that threatens a human life. If you don't like that then you can sit your happy arse down and babysit the scared little girl sitting on my bed." Dean stared at me in state of shock. It felt good to let out my emotions. Ever since the pie incident I 've been feeling out of sorts. At that moment Chris and Sam came walking out. I relayed the events to Chris and it was soon decided that we would all go.
. . .
The antic shop that held the mirror was locked up tight and I was amazed when Sam picked the lock. I could tell that Chris just wanted to slam her first into the window and climb through, but I was glad that we went for the quieter choice. Inside there were tons of mirrors and I groaned.
"Tell me that someone brought a picture of the mirror." Dean chuckled and produced a newspaper clipping of an ancient looking mirror. "Hmm, not the best mirror I've seen, but it's good enough for scum like murdering spirits." Chris lightly patted my shoulder and we all started to look for the mirror.
"I found it!" Sam cried a moment later. We all rushed over and sure enough it was the mirror that we were searching for. "All right, I'll be the bait, when it's time, shatter the mirror." We nodded and waited as Sam stood before the mirror. He started to talk about a girl named Jessica and about how it was her fault that she was dead. That he had been having dreams about her death and that he could prevented her death.
Slowly a creepy image of a girl appeared and Sam's eyes started to bleed. Without a seconds hesitation we all attacked the mirror. It shattered upon impact but Mary simply moved to another mirror. Glass was strewn across the floor and I was cut by a piece. Sam's eyes still trickled blood and soon Mary was reaching out of one of the mirrors and trying to attack Sam. It lunged and I yanked out my Kel Tec KSG Shotgun. Taking aim I shot at the spirit, the bullet embedded itself in and the thing screeched at me. Without paying any attention to me it attacked Dean and Sam.
"The mirror!" Chris shrieked. Dean must have gotten whatever she was talking about because he grabbed the mirror and showed MAry her own reflection. While she tried to kill herself we smashed the mirror. I sank to the ground in relief and Chris gave a weak laugh.
. . .
"Well it was nice traveling with you and all, but I'm sure that you have places to go and so do we."
"Actually, we're just going where ever the road takes us. Why don't we travel together for a bit?" I glanced at Chris and Sam turned to Dean.
"Why not, it could be interesting." We laughed and wished Charlie good luck.
"It's not your fault that your boyfriends dead, you should just let it go and get over it, alright?" Sam told Charlie. She nodded and we sped off. Next stop. Undecided.
