Chapter 15

(Sam's P.O.V.)

I turned away from the others and walked inside the enormous office building. Taking the elevator I went up to Dr. Ellicott's office. He opened the door and had me sit down. This was going to be fun.

(Jenny's P.O.V.)

We had been waiting for nearly an hour before Sam came out of the blasted building.

"Hey, how'd it go? Did you get any information?" Sam smirked and started to tell us about what he had learned.

"I can't believe that the prisoners rioted like that." Chris remarked. "Doesn't it seem a little excessive?" After a bit of discussion we headed back to the asylum. Walking in Sam and I split from Chris and Dean. It was dark now and I was starting to get scared. The building moaned and I couldn't help but squeal. Sam raised and eyebrow in my direction and I shuddered.

"I hate old, spooky buildings." Rubbing my arms I turned the corner. A clatter caused me to jump. My flashlight froze, it was aimed at a corner. Something moved behind it and my hand immediately went to my gun. Stepping closer we made our way over. There, huddled in the corner, was a girl with blonde hair. She let out a little whimper as the light of our flashlights hit her.

"Oh my god! You have to help me! Is Gavin with you?" I glanced at Sam.

"Uh......no." The girl's face fell. "What's your name?"

"I-It's Kat." I nodded and held my hand out to her.

"Come here, we can take you outside and then we'll find and bring Gavin back to you."

"No!" She looked scared, but there was determination behind her eyes. "I want to help find Gavin."

"I don't think that that is su-"

"Fine, go ahead, but if anything happens to you, I will find you, drag your ass back, and then kick you outside until we do find him." She nodded and stood up straight. Sam gave me a surprised look but said nothing. Walking over to the corner I turned. Nothing. Breathing a sigh of relief I started to say. "Hey guys come here, nothing bad is goin-" Suddenly something grabbed me and yanked me inside a room.

"JEN!" Came Sam's frightened yell. I screamed and ran to the other end of the room. My eyes glancing all around me trying to spot whatever had dragged me inside. Seeing nothing I ran to the door and tried to open it. "JEN! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" I whimpered and slammed my foot against the door. Suddenly a man appeared next to me. Scared to dashed to the other side. Slumping over I vomited. All of the horror of the night catching up to me. Fuck this bloody scary building. I struggled to my feet and peered around the room. The man had once again shown up. His face haggard and dead. The scent of death was like a perfume that engulfed him. He came closer and closer until the stench of his breath mixed with my own.

(Sam's P.O.V.)

"JEN!" I slammed my body against the door and tried to kick it down. Kat was next to me trying to wiggle the know but nothing was working. "Jen, listen to me! I don't think that they want to hurt us!" I tried to listen, but I could hear nothing from the other side of the door. I slammed my foot against it with all my might, but nothing would happen. Kat sunk against the door in defeat.

"I am really sorry about your girlfriend getting trapped inside." She laid her head in her lap and sniffled.

"Wha- She is not my girlfriend!" I replied my face getting hot. Anger flared up in me again as I remembered all of the things that we had done together. Traveling with her and her sister was a change from just Dean and I. "JEN!" I tried kicking and ramming the door again.

"Sammy, what's going on?" I turned to see Chris, Dean, and who I assumed was Gavin standing near the end of the hall. Chris's eyes quickly bounced from Kat to me and then all around.

"Where is Jen?" She asked in a cold voice.

"Inside, she got pulled in and we can't get the door open." Wild fear and rage seemed to take ahold of her as she tore down the hall and towards the door. Her fists bounced against the door and she gripped the handle with white hot anger trying to rattle it open. "I've tried everything, I can't get it open." I said resting my hand on her shoulder. She roughly threw my hand off of her and she spun around to glare at me.

"So help me Sam Winchester, if anything has happened to her I will tear you limb for limb and cast you into the pits of hell." My eyes widened at her threat. I a quick motion she grabbed the shot gun that was resting against her back and aimed it at the door handle. Just as she was about to shot the handle off the door creaked opened. There stood Jen a dazed look covering her face. "JEN!" Chris shrieked lunging for her older sister. Jen slowly raised her arms and patted Chris on the back.

"One thirty-seven." She muttered.

"What?" I asked surprised. This time with more conviction and confidence she said.

"One thirty-seven, that's what the ghost said." She shivered and sighed. "I was so frightened at first, his cold breath breathing down on me and he was so freaky looking, but, he didn't hurt me or anything. I think that he just wants to rest in peace." I glanced up at her. There was a small smile on her face, but I soon disappeared and she set her hand on her gun. That's when I saw she had a belt holster around her waist under her jacket.

Resting in the holster was a small MK-47. She took her coat off and for the first time I started to notice other things about her. Minus the fact that there was a rifle strapped to her back I saw that she actually looked as though she took the time to pick out her outfits. Right now she was wearing a short-sleeved shirt that hugged her curves and skinny jeans with a pair of black leather knee high boots. Her dark red hair was in a braid that came down to her mid back. Suddenly her green eyes met mine and I looked away. What was wrong with me? This Kat girl makes one comment and then suddenly I'm checking her out. I shook me head and turned to the others.

"We should lead Kat and Gavin out and then we can start searching for the spirit." I stated.

"Actually, I think that we should spilt up and have two of you lead those kids back to the entrance. That way the other two can go find the room that Jen was talking about." Chris interjected. I could see Jen and Dean nodding.

"How about I go with-" I cut Dean off and said.

"Jen, you should go with Jen and I'll go with Chris." Dean gave me a funny look, but it didn't seem like the girls noticed. Shrugging Dean and Jen headed off in the opposite direction. As we walked back to the front of the building Chris asked.

"So why did you want to walk with me instead of Jen, I mean lately you guys seemed to get paired off together anyway, why change it?"

"No reason," I answered. She raised her eyebrows at me and I was starting to feel like Jen and Chris were born doing that. "It's just that I think we should change it up a bit so that we can work efficiently with one of you just as well as the other." I inwardly smiled at my save. She nodded her head. Did she buy it.

"Alright, and here I was thinking that is was so that you could focus on the hunt instead of my sister. My bad."

(Jen's P.O.V.)

Dean and I walked along in silence as she checked out the rooms and rifled through the things sitting abandoned.

"You know, you're a lot quieter than your sister." Dean remarked leafing through and ancient looking journal.

"Yea, I get that a lot. But I am even more so when I am scared." We finally made it to room one thirty-seven. The room we were in looked like an office. It had an over turned desk and chairs. Papers rustled in the slight breeze. As I picked up a random piece of paper I shined my flashlight at it. It seemed to be some kind of medical report. I sighed. What could we possibly find here?

"Hey, check this out!" Dean called holding the journal he had been looking through. "It's Doctor Ellicott's journal." I sidled up to Dean and peered over his shoulder. I gasped as I read only a short paragraph. I looked at Dean.

(Chris's P.O.V)

The door to the exit was before us.

"Alright love birds, take the exit highway so that we can get going." Kat smiled and rushed over to the door. She gave the door a hard yank, but I wasn't budging. Sam and I both tried but it seemed immoveable. "Damn it!" I cried slamming my boot clad foot against the door. Gavin tried the windows but nothing seemed to work.

All of a sudden Sam's phone rings. He answers.

"Dean?" He listens for a moment before saying. "Alright, I'll be right there." I gave him a quizzical look before he gave me an answer. "That was Dean, he's in the basement and wants me to come right down."

"What about Jen, is she there?"

"He didn't say anything about her."

"Shit, are you sure that this is alright, I mean, everything is okay?" Sam turned to the teens next to us and held out his shot gun.

"Can you shoot this?" He asked Gavin.

"That's a gun! Why would I know how to shoot a gun?!" He asked hysterical.

"I do, my dad taught me." Kat said snatching the gun away from Sam. "Hey, how do you know so much about ghosts?" Kat asked. Sam gave me a slightly scared look.

"It's kinda our job."

"Why would anyone want a job like that?"

"I had a crappy guidance counselor." I snickered at that comment and gave him a pat on the back.

"Don't worry, my guidance counselor tried to sell weed to the kids before she got caught and sent to prison. So I think that you came out just fine." He chuckled at that comment before taking off to find his brother. I'm not sure that Dean was the one who called him though. And why the basement? The room that they were looking for was in the top level, no where near the basement.

"Gavin?"

"Yea?"

"If we get out of here alive.....we are so breaking up."

(Dean's P.O.V.)

Jen and I hurried along the halls as we speed to find Sam and Chris. That damn Doctors journal stated that he had experimented on the patients. He caused them to become angered in attempts of therapy. It disgusted me, but the patients then retaliated, although the doctor's body was never found. As I turned the corner a shot rang out and a chunk of rock salt came flying into the wall near my head.

"CHRIST!" I cried out. There Chris and Kat were holding the guns and shooting daggers in our direction. As I stepped out Chris's angered look melted into one of confusion.

"What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in the basement, with Sam."

"In the basement, what the hell are you talking about?"

"Didn't you call him? His phone rang and he said that you told him to come to the basement."

"But we were in room one thirty-seven, we were no where near the basement, and Dean hasn't called him at all." Jen said her brow furrowed in concentration.

"Well someone called him." Chris argued.

"Or something." I stated.
