Chapter 32- Relief

I quickly shook my hands and the light began to fade. I rushed over to the cage and looked inside. Shadow stood up and walked towards the bars. I felt tears run down my face as I looked him in the eyes.

"I can't believe it's actually you!" I cried as he smiled at me. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner." I said and looked down.

"Don't be sorry, I'm just happy I'll finally be able to beat Anti's a** when I get out." He said and chuckled to himself. I smiled at him and backed away from the cage, looking it up and down.

"I have to get you out of here." I said and began thinking of ways to get him out.

"Y/n, do you realize what you just did?" Shadow asks me and I look up at him. I had no idea what had happened and I just wanted to ignore it for now.

I shook my head and rushed around the room. I was looking for anything to help me get him out. I saw something in the corner of my eye near the stairway. I quickly walked over and bent down, a necklace. I picked it up and noticed a small locket on it.

Out of curiosity I opened it, three photos were in it. Each one was of a different person and I knew each one.

I closed it and put it in my pocket. I stood up and began looking around again.

"Y/n, what if you do whatever you did before on the bars?" Shadow asked me, his voice echoed in the quiet room.

I turned and looked at him, his hands holding the bars. "I don't know how I did it though, what is it gonna do anyway?" I told him as I ran my hand along the wall as I looked in the floor. Stone and moss was all I found.

"You can at least try." Shadow says, almost begging me to try it. I sighed and walked up to him. I grabbed the bars and looked at the ground.

"Go to the back." I told him, I noticed he hesitated but then listened and backed up to the wall. I closed my eyes and concentrated on doing whatever I did before.

I tighten my grip on the bars trying my hardest to get them to move or do anything. I didn't realize I was holding my breath until I let out a long breath as my grip loosened. I sighed and looked up at Shadow. I shook my head and I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

I couldn't do it, I can't get him out. I let go of the bars and began pacing back and forth in the room. "Y/n, cmon you just have to concentrate, if you did it once before you can definitely do it again." Shadow called out to me.

I was upset, I couldn't get him out. "Shadow I can't do it!" I yelled at him as tears fell down my face.

I was weak and useless...

I screamed out in anger and the room lit up. Without thinking I grabbed the bars and screamed letting my anger out.

There was a loud creek and I felt the bars move. I looked at my hands and saw the light was back. I pulled until I felt dizzy. I let go and I let out a low grunt as I fell to my knees. The light left as quickly as it came.

I heard footsteps rush to me and I felt arms wrap around me. I sighed, relieved as I hugged Shadow back.
