Chapter 30- Lone Wolf

Chills ran down my spine, hearing echoes coming from the dark tunnel ahead of me. I could still hear Anti and Lucifer calling for me but it was very faint now.

As I went farther into the stairwell the traps weren't as spread out. I looked at my feet to the next step and noticed one half of the step was glowing a light gold. I stepped on the half that wasn't lit up and almost fell down the stairs.

I caught myself on the wall and gave a sigh of relief. I must have tripped something because an arrow brushed past my face. I quickly ducked down as more arrows flew by.

I waited for a second catching my breathe. I looked up at the wall I had touch and saw a trip wire that I had broken.

I needed to be more careful, I can't have myself getting injured. I look everywhere before I took the next step.

It was strange, I couldn't see past two stairs up or below me but with each step I took I could see the next one. It was as if there was a light following me of some sort.

Passing by trip wires and swinging blades I couldn't tell how far I was down or if I was close to the bottom either.

The echos were now more pronounced now. I could make out cries of pain and someone calling out. I paused and listened for Anti and Lucifer but heard nothing.

I turned around and looked up above me but saw pitch blackness. I shivered at the thought of being alone in this hell.

I didn't know my way around or if anything bad had happened to Anti and Lucifer or even if Google had made it out. I could feel tears come up in my eyes at the thought of losing more people.

"Y/n...I tired!" A voice yelled from down below me. I froze because I knew that voice and I quickly forgot my bad thoughts.

Without thinking I rushed down the stairs dodging all the traps. It was Shadow and he sounded like he was in pain. My mind went into autopilot as I rushed down the stairs without fear.

Shadow was down here and he was calling out for me. I needed to get to him as fast as I could to make sure he was ok.

I felt something pull on my hair for a spilt second. I stopped and looked beside me, my hair now on the floor. A swinging blade whipped by with such force I almost jumped. I grabbed my hair and saw it was about 2 inches shorter than before.

I was now mad and quickly rushed down the stairs making my way past tons of traps. I froze when the light that had been following my light up the next stair but it wasn't a stair but flat. I almost jumped and screamed out of happiness.

"What's she doing here!?" "An angel!" "No it couldn't be!" I looked around me but saw no one to connect the voices to. "Shush, she can hear us!" Another voice said and it went quiet.

I took the last step before stepping onto the ground. The room suddenly lit up around me, like a fog was lifted. I could only hear the sounds of someone crying. The light suddenly showed me a cage, with metal bars. Just like the one from my dream.

Inside was a shadow in the middle of the cage, weeping.
