you're the yee to my haw uwu
when you barely write/think about this story that you forget how the main character is supposed to act-
almost everything in here is a 'fuck it'
(Tom's POV)
"What...?" I mumble in disbelief.
"You heard me." Kov says simply. "It would be a favor to both of us. You'll free me from being chained to your soul, and you won't have to cause pain anymore." I think it over, furrowing my eyebrows.
"...how do we do it?" I ask quietly, staring at the demon.
"Just listen to me, my host." He says with a grin.
"Everything will get better now."

My eye lids flutter open to the faint sound of arguing. The morning sunshine wasn't shining directly in my lack of eyes for once, just a pleasant glow from a different room.
"Why did you let him in?!" I hear a familiar British voice hiss.
"Why wouldn't I? What's wrong with you? He's our friend! He needed help! I couldn't just-" a sigh. "I couldn't just turn my basically-brother away!"
Ah. Edd and Matt are arguing.
Wait- they're arguing.
That's not something you'd hear everyday.
With a heavy groan, I sit myself up with a large yawn, arching out my back. Rubbing my eye socket, I throw the thin blanket off of my body, swinging my legs off the couch. Sleeping on a couch cannot be good for my spine. Blinking myself awake, I feel like I'm in a strangely better mood.
"Go see what they're doing. They stopped talking once you woke up." Kov whispers gently, a foreign tone coming from him. I nod slightly, whispering an 'Okay,' back. Trodding over to the kitchen where the couple were arguing, I peek into the room. Both were glaring daggers at each other, Edd's back facing me. Matt immediately notices my presence and his look softens.
"Morning, Tom." He greets with a gentle smile.
"G'morning..." I reply, mumbling. "Is...everything alright..?" I ask hesitantly, noticing Edd flinch at the sound of my voice.
"Just dandy." Edd answers through gritted teeth, leaving the kitchen. Shoving me on the way out too. Great, he hates me. I sigh and walk over to Matt.
"You okay?" I ask him with a worried look. Matt glances at me with a shrug.
"I could be better.." He says, looking down. "Uh- d'you want something to eat? I can't cook that well, but we have some stuff in the fridge." He says, gesturing to said fridge. I nod and walk over.
Scanning the inside, I shrug to myself.
"Fuck it," I grab a cucumber (sorry- can I just- recently, every chance I get, I always type a character getting a cucumber to eat. nothing else. just a washed cucumber).
"What are you doing?" Kov drawls from my mind.
What? I haven't eaten not-meat for- hm, a month or two? Leave me alone.
"Fine, fine, be healthy and eat rabbit food." Kov says sarcastically.
"I will..." I mumble, rinsing the cucumber under water. Taking a bite, I turn back towards Matt.
"So...what was that about with Edd?" I say, chewing the refreshing vegetable. Holy shit, that tastes amazing.
"You're overreacting over a cucumber."
"Edd came home last night while you were asleep." Matt starts, taking a seat at the small kitchen table. "When I woke up, he started freaking out about you to me. Really scared..." he mumbles, laying his head on the table top.
"Shit...sorry, Matt." I respond apologetically, thinking back to the night.
"It's not your fault," Matt says, lifting his head up.
"Yeah, okay.." I mumble, crunching on the cucumber. "Fuck- that reminds me. I should probably get back to my apartment." I groan, rubbing my eye socket.
"Oh- right, you came kinda suddenly. Tord must be worried." Matt says, glancing at me.
"Definitely not worried, but I'll head back anyway. Thanks for helping me, mon frère." I say with a yawn. Matt looks at me with a smile.
"Anytime, frère." He responds. I walk over and give a quick hug before leaving with my cucumber bit.
"Aww...how sweet! Physical affection? From my host?" Kov coos as if I was a baby.
"Jehovah, can you shut it?" I say with an exasperated groan, I finish the cucumber while walking down the hall to my apartment.
"How rude! I'm just trying to be nice~" I swear I can hear his smirk. Sighing, I make it to my door, unlocking it with my keys.
Creaking it open, I take a peek inside. No Tord in sight, strangely enough. I carefully creep inside, glancing around for a stray commie. I blink. Nothing. He's not in the kitchen or on the couch.
"Just get back to your room, we need to start preparations." Kov says, urging my feet to go forward. I nod and start to walk into my room. Alcoholic air envelops me as I walk over to my empty desk. I notice that the mirror is just a frame now, and there's dried blood in the carpet.
I grab some loose leaf (lined) paper and a pen. Then I start writing.
~Timeskip~
I stretch out my arms with a yawn after hunching over a desk for around 1-2 hours.
"Are you finally done?" Kov asks with a monotone voice.
"Yep," I respond, getting up from my desk.
"Fantastic," Kov says sarcastically. "A few days left and we'll both be free."
I nod, leaving my room.
"Mm? Host, why the long face?" Kov asks in a teasing tone.
"...why do you think?" I ask back.
"Well...I can't imagine why you'd be upset! We're making the world a better place! Helping your friends and other humans." Kov says innocently.
"You've been making it sound a lot nicer than it is." I roll my nonexistent eyes. All my energy from the morning drained, leaving me tired out of my mind.
"Am I? It sounds like I'm describing it perfectly, no?"
"I guess," I say with a sigh, running a hand through my hair.
