These chapters are getting longer and longer.
(Tord's POV)
Heh. I'm losing it aren't I? I was so worried for Tom. Worried. What a strange feeling. Especially towards someone who hates me. His shirt and hoodie were off, instead having some bandages wrapped around him. I look at him, a bit sadly, while his chest slowly rises and falls in a steady pattern. On his bed, inside an alcohol scented room, he sleeps calmly. Bandages holding onto his shoulder and wrapping underneath his armpit are soaked in red. I've seen this too many times before in the army to count. He twitches in his slumber, clearly having a dream of some sort. I reach out I place my hand on his head, petting it. His hair is surprisingly soft. I rub his head more. To my surprise, he lets out a small and low purr. I take my hand away, he whines from the absence of it.
What the fuck?
(Tom's POV)
Where am I?
"You're unconscious, genius." Kov answered sarcastically. I roll my eyes. I try to open my mouth and respond, but I can't.
"Stop trying to speak. It's impossible when you're unconscious,"
Okay, thinking then.
How did I pass out?
"Too much blood loss,"
When will I wake up?
"You decide that,"
What do you mean?
"Jeez, you ask too many questions," Kov answered, annoyed. A few moments passed. Kov breaks the silence.
"Do you wish to wake up? You're healed enough,"
Yes, how do I wake up?
"Like this,"
My eyes shoot open and I immediately close them from light shining in them.
"Tom?" A voice asked, startled.
"Ugh," I try to sit up, but get pushed down by a hand.
"Don't get up, your shoulder is still healing." The voice said with a hint of worry.
"I'm fine," I said automatically, I sit up without a problem. Well, one slight problem being my shoulder was a bit sore. I look to my side and see Tord looking at me with surprise and worry. Wait, Tord? I look at him with the same amount of confusion. I feel something scratchy hugging my shoulder. I scratch at it, pulling the edge of it. It's gauze with a copious amount of clotted blood. I start to unwrap it, Tord grabs my hand to stop me.
"Stop, you're gonna bleed more," He said with more worry coating his voice. I ignore him and pull the entire dried blood covered gauze off. Like a weird red shell, it stays stiff and I examine my healed over wound. A fresh pink skin covers over the old wound. I look at it unsurprised while Tord was somehow even more shocked.
"How...?" Tord said with his voice hushed. I rub it, causing it to sting a bit.
"Don't ask." I respond with no emotion. Tord looks at me again. Again with worry before he walks out, probably to get Edd and Matt. I wait a bit to make sure he's gone. I sigh.
"Kov, care to explain how it already healed?"
"That'd be me, my host. Since I'm here, you got some...supernatural abilities,"
"Like...?"
"As you can see, quick healing, and being able to turn into a certain monster. You can also travel through shadows whilst you are in the monster form,"
"Like you, huh?" He didn't answer. "C'mon, answer me," he gave a 'shh,' sound.
"Answer me you little shi—"
"Tom?" I hear Edd ask. I turn to the sound of his voice, startled. Matt was there as well. He looked at me with the same look of worry Tord gave me.
"Hey Ed—oof!" he runs over and pushes me down, back on the bed.
"You're supposed to be resting!"
"I don't need to. I'm fine," I respond, annoyed. "Look," I expose my shoulder to him as I sit back up. Surprised, he examines the healed over stab.
"It's healed already? It's only been an hour and a half..." he said, drifting off into his thoughts.
"Yes, can I have my shirt? It's cold," I ask.
"O-oh right, here Thomas," Tord said nervously, throwing a shirt to me.
"Thanks," I pull on the shirt over my head. The fabric catches on something on top of my head. I reach up to pull it off, feeling something hard and a bit pointed on my head. I feel a bit more and let out a yelp by accident, the things on my head were extremely sensitive. The other three looking at me strangely.
"Tom, are you okay? It doesn't hurt, does it?" Edd asked with more worry.
"N-no, it wasn't my shoulder..." I stutter. Then it hit me. These are horns. Shit.
"You sure?" The green Brit asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," I respond with an exasperated tone. I ruffle my hair to cover up the small horns. This day can't get any worse.
