Flavius and Octavia  practically dragged me out of the bathroom that night and began to do my makeup and hair. it took a hour for them to call me perfection. then thankfully Cinna took me away. and into a dressing room where i saw a wedding dress.

"a wedding dress? wait is that the wedding dress?" i asked

"yes it is President Snow insisted but i made a few alterations" i looked at him

"it's beautiful. wild and Capitalistic but beautiful" i smiled at him gently.

"come on let's get you ready" i took off my robe and was helped into the gown. i watched the reflection of the TV as Flavius evaluated my makeup and Octavia made sure a hair wasn't out of place. Cinna put my earrings on as i watched the siblings from district 1. Cashmere was crying.

"god does anyone actually believe this?" i asked scoffing Haymitch leaned in.

"apparently everyone does" he nodded and i looked at Effie, Flavius and Octavia crying

"these victors are very angry Lilly they will say anything to try and stop the games i suggest you do the same" i nodded the doors opened and Peeta came in.

"okay everyone clear out let the two love birds have a moment." everyone left and the doors closed.

"you look breath taking Lilly Pad" he stepped down and kissed his cheek.

"did Haymitch tell you to give em hell" i ask

"yeah and i have a good one."  he smirked

"you learnt that smirk from me" i teased

"well one has to me cunning when married to you" i laugh and attempt to hug him but fail.

"maybe if i twirl tonight i will hug you properly" he chuckled "shall i tell them we're married or do you want to" i wondered

"leave it to me"

"i love you Peeta Mellark"

"i love you too Lilly Mellark"  he kissed my lips one last time before leaving . Cinna came back in and helped me into my shoes.

"alright turn around" he said

"okay i think I'm done"

"will i be twirling tonight?" i asked looking down at the dress

"yes but leave it till the end" i nodded

"is she ready one minute till ShowTime" i turned around and she gasped 

"oh Lilly" she came and took my hands "you make the most beautiful bride" i smiled

"thank you"

"now let's go show them what real beauty looks like" i stepped down and we made our way to the back of the stage where Johanna was.

"a wedding dress really ?" she asked

"President Snow made me wear it" she came and stood next to me.

"make 'em pay for it." i smirked

"trust me i will" the doors opened "oh and try to seduce Peeta again and i will kill you" i smiled walking up the ramp to the stage.

"Lilly you look fabulous doesn't she" he asked them "my...my...my...whoo...whoo...whoo." he laughed

"now Lilly this is a very big and very emotional night for all of us wouldn't you say?"

"oh don't go crying on me now Ceaser" he laughs

"oh i can't going making any promises you know me" i giggled

"you know i wouldn't believe you even if you did" i replied

"i love her the girl on fire is so cheeky" he turns back to me "but Lilly on a more serious note, i think all of us here are disappointed more than a little disappointed that a certain wedding did not take place. Aren't we folks" he stated well a wedding did you just didn't see it.

"I'm i correct in assuming that this is the gown the you would have worn on that day yes or no"

"yes, President Snow thought everyone would want to see it" i answered

"well President Snow as usual was right...was he not folks" they all agreed "i love it, i love it is it not incredible folks its gorgeous. would you do us the honour please, please, please" i chuckled and walked forward a bit and look at Cinna he nodded and i began to twirl like nearly all my dresses it set on fire and burnt away the wedding dress replacing it with a black and a hint of blue. i lifted my arms up and wings opened up. the crowd was ecstatic up and applauding.

"my gosh its- it's like a bird. it's got feathers like a bird. it's like um- um"

"like a Mockingjay" i stated

"your stylist has certainly out done yourself theatrically. Cinna take a bow." he bowed and blew a kiss at me and i blew one back.

"Lilly Hawthorne everybody" i smiled and my way up the steps and stood next to Chaff
