The next morning we were getting ready to leave when Boggs called our attention.

"Okay listen up." he held up a mag. "Empty mag. It's only for the propo." He fixed it to the gun and handed it to Peeta.

"Let's move. Five blocks North." I went over to Finn, and rested my hand on his arm.

"Keep a eye on him, please." he looked down at me

"Sure."

"Thank you." I went up front and we moved out. While we walked I heard Finn going over lines with Peeta. Who was repeating them back to him. We all came to a Courtyard.

"Boggs this is a good spot. Right there in the courtyard." Cressida called

"Okay. Let us clear it." Boggs went down first scanning for pods. There was nothing before we stopped at two buildings.

"Got a pod. Split take cover." I took the left with half and Boggs took the right with the others.

"Stay back" I grabbed a rock and threw it in. Two machine guns flew out and started rapidly shooting. I covered my head as debris and bullets flew past us. When it finally stopped I stood up.

"All clear. Gale, Holmes with me. Leegs take the wings." Boggs called. My brother went out and I watched as the five of them checked the perimeter. I turned my gaze to Finn.

"Seriously Finn, you find this moment of everything amusing?" He just rolled his eyes. That was when I noticed Peeta, he was shaking and breathing heavily. Muttering to himself.

"Pe-" I was cut off by an explosion. I snapped my head round the corner. Boggs was on the ground. I took off.

"Mellark!"

"Boggs!" I dropped my bow and crouched down next to him. "Boggs." I breathed he was shaking in shock and in pain, his legs had been blown off.

"The Holo, grab the holo." I reached over to grab it and give it to him.

"Unfit for command, transfer security clearance. Say your name." he held it up to me

"Lily Mellark." It scanned my face and bleeped "What just happened?"

"Don't trust them, do what you need to, kill Peeta if you have too." He stuttered then I saw the life leave his eyes.

"Boggs, Bogs?" His cold eyes stared up at me, I was the last thing he saw and he trusted me with the thing I needed to leave the others. Yet I couldn't, not anymore. Holmes tried to save him but it was no use.

"He's gone." Gale muttered. I heard one of the Leegs groaning. her twin went to help her but stepped on a pressure pad. Another Pod. Exits out of the court hard began to close, the a black substance was released and it came gushing down.

"GO, GO, GO!" my brother yelled. I grabbed my bow and the holo then took off running.

"Let's go soldiers!"

"Get to higher ground." I was yanked back and sent to the floor, only one person who would do that right now. I rolled out of the way onto my back. Mitchell tackled him, the fought as I jumped to my feet. Peeta pushed him into the goo and barbed wires yanked him back up on all fours killing him. Finn, grabbed onto Peeta.

"Lily, come on." Kat pulled me away and we ran into one of the buildings. We ran as far as we can but came to and end because the rest of the stair well had been blown in the middle. On one side Leeg 2 was being lowered to the ground with her injury. On the other Holmes was sedating my frantic husband.

"It's slowing down." Cressida stated as it reached the last step to us and then began to drain away. "The game-makers are still putting on quite a show." I shifted my gaze to Peeta who's eyes were shut as he laid on the ground.

"451 to base. Over." Jackson tried

"We better move. If the peacekeepers didn't know where we were they do now." Finn breathed

"Those surveillance camera's caught us." Castor informed us.

"451 to base come in." I looked down at the holo, which I was now in primary control of.

"This is a bad spot. We need to move now." Gale urged

"451 to base, over." Jackson huffed as I looked out at the lowering sludge. "I can't get a signal. But I can get us back to base. Mellark, give me the holo." I didn't reply.

"Mellark, what did I just say? The holo. Come on, let's go."

"Boggs gave it to me." I told her

"What are you talking about?"

"He did. He transferred security clearance to her." Holmes backed me up "I saw him."

"And why would he do that?" Jackson questioned no longer the the supportive yet cautious second in command.

"I'm on special orders from Coin." I lied

"To do what?"

"To assassinate President Snow." She paused for a moment.

"I don't believe that for one second. As your new unit commander, I order you to transfer security clearance to me now."

"I can't do that." She we for her gun. Kat and Gale were on her as well as Finn.

"Let's not loose our heads here." Gale tried to reason

"I'm not asking you again Mellark. Give me that Holo." Cressida stood in front of me

"She's telling the truth. Plutarch wants it televised. He thinks that if we could film the Mockingjay assassinating Snow, it will make the Capitol surrender before the loss of casualties get too high." That was the longest yet most believable lie I heard.

"While we're arguing, there's a hundred peacekeepers on they're way here." I made them lower their weapons and looked at Jackson.

"Boggs promised me that when the time came you would help me." I saw her retreat and lower the gun. "Was he wrong to put his trust in you?" I question.

"Alright soldier, Holo's yours." Gale went to the steps and put his foot down.

"I don't think we're gonna leave any footprints, we should move now. And those cameras outside should be covered up by the oil."

"We can't move her like this. Her leg is to bad, we have to evacuate her. I'm sorry." Castor reported to Leeg 1.

"I'll stay with her." She replied.

"As soon as we make contact, we will send somebody back. I promise you." I watched sadly at the scene unfolding.

"Lets' go." I say

"Let's get him up." Finn and Messala lifted Peeta to his feet as we made our way down the stairs. Out of the building everything on the ground was black and we past Mitchell hung by wire in mid air. I then passed Bogs who has been pushed up against the side.

"Come on this way." We jogged to nearby apartments where Gale broke the window and we entered.

"Get these curtains closed." Jackson called and I went to slide them across. When they were, we heard trucks approaching. I peeked out and saw Peacekeepers. They surrounded the building we had just come from. Gunshots rang out and the Peacekeepers fought back.

"It's the leegs." The two shot from the second for giving the appearance we were still there. The shot a explosive killing two of our unit. Barely a minute went by before the Capitol fanfare ran out in the room. I looked at the screens as Ceaser appeared.

"Good Afternoon, I'm Ceaser Flickerman. Here with our continuing coverage of the defence of The Capitol. Today, as our Peacekeepers valiantly hold off the rebels, our story takes a surprising twist. Lily Mellark, our once favourite daughter, has infiltrated the city with some of the victors. Name who are all two familiar. Finnick Odair and her husband Peeta Mellark." It showed the footage of Peeta attacking me

"Hmm, clearly some marriages don't last forever." I looked at Peeta who looked guilt ridden. "Take a look at what happened just a moment ago, when our peacekeepers cornered Lily Mellark and her band of foolish rebels. Whatever arrogance brought this treacherous girl back to us, you are about to witness a great victory, not only for the Capitol but for Panem." I watched the footage of the shooting at the leegs and them blowing the two up.

"So there you have it. Lily Mellark, the Girl on fire, a girl who inspired so much violence, seems to have met a violent end herself. Stay tuned for more information. Ceaser Flickerman, thank you." The broad cast cut out.
