It was nearly the end of my watch, everyone else was asleep when I heard rumbling. I took out the holo and jumped into the sewer to take a look. Shining the torch I looked for anything out of the ordinary. But though I couldn't see anything just hear the distant rumbling continuing .

"Lily, Lily, Lily." I looked back at Peeta waking up startled. There was a hissing coming as I looked at my husband.

"Lily?" I lifted my finger shakily to my lips and then pointed to my ear.

"What is that?" Jackson asked

"We gotta go. We gotta get outta here now. Mutts they released mutts." Peeta stressed getting up

"Pollux, what's the fastest way out." He joined me and pointed in a direction. Gale shot a fire arrow to determine the distance. Taking the lead he walked us through, yet I could still here the hissing and that scared me. We reached the end and Gale shot another arrow giving us some light. There was a fair size hole which Pollux slipped through to check out. I waited, my heavy breathing evident. He came back and gave us the go ahead.

I went through last heading up the back, and while waiting for Jackson there was this might roar. They were here. They took Jackson first and attempted to get through but I fired one of my red arrow causing a big blast. I knocked me back and them boys started yelling for Pollux to lead us out. I was lifted to my feet and we started running. There were more screams

"Castor!" I yelled seeing him being mauled. Cressida fired at them while took another one of my arrows.

"Fall back!" Kat yelled before I fired another one. But I couldn't save Holmes as he was attacked and killed. We ran into a what should lead us to an exit. Kat and I took and exit shooting arrows at the lizard mutts . The surrounded us and I shot them down. I stabbed one in the face, trying to keep him off of me. I thought I was done for when it was jumped and tackled to the ground. Peeta grunted but I couldn't stop as I roundhouse kicked another one. trying then to help Peeta, a mutt grabbed me and flung me to a metal walkway. Leaving me disorientated.

Coming back up Gale, Katniss and Peeta were fighting off mutts. I went for Peeta first, taking out a knife i had. wrestling it to the ground I shoved the knife deep killing it. Peeta was dragged away by another. But I couldn't get to him because one cornered me. Finnick saved me with his trident though. A mutt bit through Peeta's restrains and Cressida shot them screaming at them to go. I fought them off as Peeta, Cressida, Messala and Katniss went up the ladder

"Go, go, go!" Finn yelled at me lifting me up. I ran to the ladder and went up.

"Lily!" Finn screamed as one tried to get at me. He threw his trident leaving him with a knife. Once I was at the top I looked back over. Finn was the last one and he was coming up the ladder when half a dozen putts pulled him back.

"No!"

"Finnick!" I screamed. I watched at they began to tore him apart. I began to sob as there was only one thing I could do to spare his suffering. I took out the holo and flicked the switch of the self destruct.

"Nightlock, Nightlock, Nightlock." I tearfully spoke dropping it and exploding the mutts with Finnick.

"We need to keep moving." Gale dragged me to my feet as we came out into the underground. Peacekeepers were waiting for us. I shot my last red arrow at them and took off running. Spotlights randomly appeared disintegrating Messala. Cressida looked on in shock. I took her arm and told her to keep going . We kept dodging the lights till we reached a point.

The floor broke apart and grinders chased us on our heels. Nearing the exit we jumped and the grinders came to an end. Scrambling up to my feet I saw Peeta was next to me. I grabbed my bow.

"Peeta come on." I called but looking back hee was still on the ground He was having another episode

"Peeta" I ran over to him as he clutched his head "Peeta, we have to keep going!"

"I'm a mutt, I can't keep control." I pulled at him to make him look at me

"Yes, you can! Look at Me!"

"Leave me! I'm a mutt!" I took his face.

"Look at me! Look at me!" He did and I kissed him with everything I had. Breaking away I saw him calm down

"Stay with me." I breathed "Stay...with..me."

"Always." He whispered. I took my bow and stood him up

"Come on." I took his hand and we started running again

"I know where we are. I know a place. Up those stairs." I took the lead and we ran past wanted boards with Finnick's image. Cressida banged on a shop door and did so until it was opened. I was pulled in and I brought out my last arrow aiming it at the person.

"No, Lily, it's OK, its OK" she lowered my arrow and Cressida addressed the catwoman

"Tigris, do you remember me? I'm with Plutarch, underground. We need your help." She looked at each of us. She looked familiar but i couldn't place where yet.

"Clear." Gale called. Tigris moved past us as I thought of where she was from. We followed her and she took us to the back where she opened a hatch

"I remember you. You were a stylist in the Games." I spoke. She removed her hood show straggles of hair left on her head and her alter looks more so than anyone else.

"Until Snow, decided I wasn't pretty anymore."

"I'm here to kill him." I told her which she gave a small smile too. We descended the stairs into the basement. When Gale came down I looked at her as she closed the hatch. I gripped onto the handles mourning the loss. For me it was Finnck which hit closer to home. I heard Pollux sobbing and I turned round. He had lost his brother, they worked for five years to get back to each other. He would be taking it harder than most.

"Gale is gonna need stitches." Cressida informed me. They all died because of me, me and my stupid lie.

"I made it up. All of it." I confessed "There is no special mission because of Coin, There is only my plan." Some part of me knew i guess. Cressida backing me up but the others. "Everyone that's dead is dead because of me. I lied."

"We know. We all knew." Cressida told me

"Soldiers from 13?"

"They did too. Do you really believe that Jackson thought you had orders from Coin? She trusted Boggs and he clearly wanted you to go on."

"I never meant for any of this to happen, I failed I..." I shook my head "I killed them, I killed Finnick. I'm sorry Pollux, I'm so, so sorry." my voice broke

"Glimmer, Marvel, Mags, Clove, Wiress, Rue. What do all those deaths mean? They mean that our lives were never ours. There was never any real life because they weren't our choice. Our lives belong to Snow and our deaths do, too. But if you kill him Lily. If you end all of this, all those deaths, they mean something. Cinna, Boggs, Castor, Jackson, Finnick. They chose this, they chose you."

"There's nothing to numb the pain." Cressida told me going through mine and Kat's med kit.

"You might want to bite down on something. This is Mom and Rory's job, not mine." I commented.

"Just get it over with."

"Love you too, bro." I threaded the needle through and he winced. "Well you shouldn't get scratched by a mutt if you don't want my medical help."

"I'll remember that for next time." I continued stitching him up and when I finished I washed it clean and put some ointment to stop the infection. After washing my hands I went to Peeta and cleaned his wounds.

"We need to keep these clean so they don't get infected ." I dug into my bag to get some bandages.

"You should cuff me. You're not safe with me yet." he voiced hollowly, he could barely even look at me without me making him do so.

"But..."

"It was a fluke that I didn't hurt you. I have moments when I'm here. And my memories are getting better, but other times it's like i'm sleep walking. You should cuff me." I sighed and took his hands wrapping them up before he wrapped his arms around a pole and I cuffed him.

I woke up on a bed of fur. On one side Kat was sleeping soundly and on the other I saw Gale give Peeta some water.

"Thanks. "

"No Problem." Gale replied sitting down next to him. I pretended to be asleep while I listened to them

"I can't sleep."

"Yeah, I haven't slept in days, either. I should have volunteered to take your place in the first Games. Even back then I was clear how she felt for you." Gale voiced to him.

"You couldn't have. She would have never forgiven you. She needed you to be there and take of the family and Katniss', and you did. She can't lose you. She loves you."

"She can't loose you either. You didn't see how she was when she realised you weren't on that helicarrier with her. Or when you showed up on the screens of 13. I've known her all my life, she is stubborn as hell and tough as nails. She's had to be. But that's the first time I've seen her broken. She even slapped me when I called you a coward. You know there has always been a chance that I might never have a full life, which is why I was grateful she found you. Even though you've nearly killed her twice. That's love."

"You love Katniss."

"I doesn't matter, I think we both know it would never last. My sister and her are alike in many ways. They need someone who's not like them which I am. There's still a chance I might not make it out alive." I heard heavy explosion and I shot up knocking my best friend at the same time.

"Mortar shells. They're not ours." Gale told us "Peace keepers must be shelling' the rebels outside the city."

"That's not outside the city." I agreed with Cressida

"Yeah, it sounds way to close." Gale went up check
