Mikoto was sleeping when he heard footsteps.  He wasn't a very deep sleeper and this often came handy to him. He woke up and realized that he was dangling to one side,he might have rolled over in his sleep. He was thankful that he had strapped himself to the tree.

He looked down to see five figures with torches walking towards his direction.  He held his breath and hoped they didn't looked up at him in the tree.

The group walked and sat right under the tree ,he was on. It was the career group.

Jack:- I neee to rest a bit,lets stop here.

Luna:- We've killed alot of those other tributes,  that will satisfy the Capital for a while.

Samuel:- Yeah, I guess

Eito:- I was thinking what about that silver haires guy with the perfect score .

Destiny:- Who ? That Mikoto. You really shouldn't worry about him.

Samuel :- Huh,Why?

Destiny:- Even though he got the highest score, he seems really simple minded to me.

Jack:- I don't know, I don't think so

Destiny:- Oh calm down Jack, I'll kill him myself soon. Don't woory about him. He looks pretty naive to me.

Jack:- I guess so....

Luna:- Let's head back to camp no one's here. Iam worried about thieves.

Samuel:- You shouldn't you know our ally is guarding it.

Mikoto:- (thinking to himself) An ally,strange , who would ally with them most tend to stay away from the career group.

Jack:- Still we gotta be careful.

Eito:- Then let's head back.

The group slowly left. Mikoto waited ti he was sure they were gone and he got out off his sleeping bag ,packed it again and jumped diwn. He ate a cracker and some meat and went to look at the snares he had set.

One had caught a rabbit and other was a strange bird. The animals were already dead. He took them out and after cleaning them  ,he wrapped them in his sheet and recoiled the wire he used for the snare and walked away.

He was feeling very confident he knew that if the Capital saw that he could survive and hunt they would surely sponsor him.

He walked for several hours ,Now he needed to find water ,he was very thirsty and water was a must.  He couldn't go back to the lake because the career group was there, he needed to find a stream or pond or something. 

Licking his dry lips ,he slowly walked away from the lake in hopes of finding some water source.  The sun was blazing and the heat was causing him to sweat.  He  really needed water  ,he was starting to get dehydrated. 

He walked slower them usual.  He knew it was a few moments before he collapsed.  He tried to walk faster but the heat was bent on killing him.

Suddenly ,he fell to his knees ,and then collapsed to his ground. He looked up knowing his sponsers were looking at him. He needed water. He knew if he lost conscious he would die.

Mikoto:- Wa....ter....plea...se

He began to claw at the ground, trying to crawl.  He crawled for a few meters and collapsed again. The time his hand felt something wet like mud. He gadped anf and looked to se there was a pound.  He smilled as he felt life seep back into him. He got up. He barely managed to control himself from plunging his head into the water. He took out his bottle and filled it and dropped a little iodine in it and drank it. He drank about to bottles and was refreshed.  He smilled to himself and then ate a bit of meat.

He decided to stay by the pond as it would supply water. He rested against the tree and looked at the artifical sky when a canon rang out. Someone had died. Mikoto wondered who. Well he would know tonight. He closed his eyes and took a nap ,he knew this was impractical but he needed to, after this near death experience.

Oka slowly walked through the swamp. Swamp. She couldn't believe it. A few moments ago she was walking through a plane field and now it had converted into a swamp. Probably the game makers had done it.

She growled as she swatted away the mosquitoes that were trying to suck her blood.She needed to get out. This was place really dangerous. She tried to move follow the route, she had come from but it seemed to have changed.

Oka:- Fucking game makers

As she walked when suddenly she realized that her feet were sinking in the ground.  QUICK SAND

She tried to get out but she began to sink in deeper. She was now waist deep in the quick sand and couldn't get out. She knew this was gonna be the end of her. She heard moment, she looked up to see it was Kenji.

Kenji was at the far end of the quick sand as he looked at Oka.  He watched as she sunk deeper.

He looked at her and pulled out a knife .

Oka:- End this Kenji.

She knew dying by a knife was faster then suffocating in quicksand.

Oka closed her eyes as she felt a piercing pain in her neck and she fell down dead.

The canon sounded.

Kenji sighed as he looked at her body go limp. Abd the hovercraft appearing andpulling her body in.

He knew he had done the right thing and given her a quick and painless death as compared to quick sand . He looked back once and walked away.
