"Hello to you Ms. Dean," Diana walked into the bathroom with her purse on her arm, her heels clicking against the tile floor that it echoed. She went to the sink that was right next to April's and placed her purse on the edge of it so she could do some more touch ups on her makeup. "How you been old friend?"

April turned her head to right with a blank look on her face, "Are you seriously talking to me right now?"

"Yeah," Diana replied back taking her brush to rub blush on her cheeks.

"You know I don't like you right?" April stated bluntly as she squinted her eyes at the girl who she would literally swing on.

"You have every right not to like me and I get it, I am a bitch," Diana mutters.

April was very taken back, "Did you just—,"

"Yeah I said it, I'm a bitch," she repeated again to let April know she was being honest about it. "But that doesn't justify the way I have been treating you since..well you know."

"I just don't get it," April chuckled with a shake of her head.

"Get what?" Diana asks putting more lipstick on her lips.

"Why everything has to be so complicated," April huffed out, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath so she wouldn't lose her shit.

"It's just life April, sadly, everything isn't always perfect," the brunette had shrugged.

April looked at her once more, "Again, are you seriously talking to me right now?"

Diana rolled her eyes and finally looked at April, "Don't try to forget like we didn't have history together."

"I've been trying to forget for the last few years actually," April sarcastically remarked.

"We'll you can't. And I can't either," Diana tells her.

That was the truth right there. Neither of them couldn't forget what they had long time ago in middle school. It was the first day of six grade when they met in their English class. Diana was this bubbly, cute, nerdy girl who always had a smile on her face while April was a more quiet, observe, but a cute girl as well. All it took was for Diana to compliment April's shoes and it was a done deal. They were good friends and even Diana was friends with Venus at that time too. It was nothing like a trio group or anything, but Diana was cool with both girls at that time.

Diana had a secret, and that secret was that she liked girls, well she liked boys too which made her bisexual. Her parents were super strict, also very homophobic and religious so she couldn't tell her parents that she liked girls. So the closest person she could tell was April, because she trusted April and she also liked her.

It took place in the girl's bathroom during recess when Diana finally told April her secret. What shocked Diana is that April also liked girls and what was even more shocking is that April also liked Diana too. Once those two girls came out to each other and confessed the feelings they had, they kissed for the first time. Then after they decided that they would be girlfriend and girlfriend. And it's been history ever since.

It was still a secret of course. Nobody knew about them and that's just the way they wanted it to be, not even Venus knew about it. They had dated sixth grade through right grade, and they did a pretty good job keeping this under the radar. And yeah, they were actually in love at such a young age.

Sadly, towards the end of eight grade Diana had broke up with April out of the blue. It was devastating news for April and it broke her heart into tiny pieces. Truth was, as the middle school years went by Diana was being looked at by the other cool kids who years before always bullied her. So she took her chance to become popular and left April in the dirt.

Ever since then April has always disliked Diana for that. And when it came to highschool those feelings went away, which turned into hate because Diana was this rude rich brat that changed into someone she once loved before.

"Well if you must know how I'm doing, I'm not doing good. I just got stabbed in the back last week, thanks to you," April grumbled with her fists balling up.

"I'm ug..I'm sorry for that April," Diana apologizes with a nervous gulp.

"I think it's too late to apologize now," April shrugs, sighing deeply. "After you left she started to freak out, scared that you would tell people which led to her worrying about what other people would think if we were into each other. Bottom line is that she suggested that we would drop everything, and that's what it is now."

"What do you mean drop everything?" Diana questioned. "Are you two not even bestfriends anymore?"

"No, she wanted to drop everything and so I dropped everything too," April tells her with a short shrug afterwards, hands unclenching from balls.

"Have y'all at least talked since then?" Diana asks curiously.

"Yeah, on Monday she wanted to talk things through but I told her I was done with her, and I meant it too," April rolled her eyes at the thought of it all.

Diana pouted her lips, "You can't just drop her like that."

"I can too," April defends.

"When did this..thing happen between you guys?" Diana had asked, a bit of jealousy creeping up her body but she tried her best not to show it.

April rolled her lips to the in thought, trying to recall what happened until she remembered, "Like a few weeks ago I think. Some shit happened with Kellen when my parents invited him and his family over, she ran away, I went to go find her, we kissed, and it's been like that."

Diana swallowed the lump in her throat, "Who knows?"

"Nobody except us, and now you," April explains briefly.

Diana looked down at her heels, guilt and disappointment ruining through her body as she thought about all the things April just told her. If she would've just left them alone in the first place then maybe things would have been different between the two of them. Diana felt super bad about this.

"I thought we actually had something," April sniffs. "But she called it all a fling..a fucking fling!"

Diana looked up at April to see tears falling down her pretty brown face. Slowly, she walked up to the girl and wrapped her in a tight hug for some closure. And what was shocking is that April hugged back, crying in Diana's shoulders to let it all out.

Diana rubbed her back soothingly, saying, "I know you probably still hate me, but I just want you to know that I'm here for you April. Afterall, you're my first love and always be even if I'm a bitch, but still, if you need anything I'm here. I'm so sorry for all the pain I must have caused you years ago and even now, I'm sorry for leaving you for popularity, and I'm sorry for not being a good person towards you. You don't have to forgive me, but I just wanted to say this now or else I'll regret not apologizing."

April pulled away with a wet face, nodding her head, "I f-forgive you Diana," she croaks.

"Everything is gonna be okay babe," Diana soothes before she cupped April's face with her hands, wiping the tears away with the pad of her thumbs before she leaned in to give April a kiss.

The spark was still there and it was no denying that. April kissed back, wanting to be close with someone as if that would make her feel wanted again. It felt like they were kissing for the first time in middle school, and it did feel very nice. They kissed each other with passion. Diana deepening the kiss to let April know that she was truly sorry for all the foul things she has done. April felt it in her heart that Diana was sorry, and it made her pull Diana close by the hips to let her know that she forgives her for everything. It was something that filled the holes that they used to have in their heart.

They pulled away and took one step backwards. It was very quiet, they were both trying to regain themselves once again.

"I'm not good at giving good advice but I just wanna tell you to be patient and let time do it's thing. Trust me, Venus will be back when she realizes on what she's missing out on...but you have the power to give her a chance or not," Diana says lacing her own fingers together.

"Thank you for that," April nodded with a lick of her lips. "I'll see you around?"

"Yeah," Diana placed he makeup back in her purse, then looking at April. "If you need anything you can always call or text me, ya know?"

"Yeah, I know," April smiled softly.

"Okay, bye April," Diana waves.

"Bye Diana," April waved back.
