Lovely
I just wanted to make him feel lovely. I ran home after I climbed off the roof. I just couldn't face him again. I didn't want to face him again. After kissing Enoch, I wasn't really sure about anything. I just knew I still had feelings for him, even after he came out as trans. I got home to a silent house, like always.
My parents just kind of up and left for some reason, one that I'm afraid I'll never find out. Because of everything, I punched a wall in the dark, quiet of the house. My hand stung, but barely felt it. I've been around Enoch too long to know what that means, so I went up to go to bed.
I got ready for bed, and soon fell into a fitful sleep. When I felt like I woke up, I was in somewhere dark. "Hello?" I called out. At my call, fireflies began to light up. Now that I could see, I was terrified. There were bodies. Bodies from both people I knew, and people I didn't. The closest body to me was Enoch's. He had cuts up his arms, but there was no blood. I tried to check for a pulse, but the skin was frigid to the touch, and the veins were bright blue among the pallid grey-white-blue of the skin.
"You were the cause of this," something said. "He killed himself because of you. Because of you..." The voice drifted off, and I was shaken awake by Caden, his face not even inches away from mine.
