Ruhana Srivastav joins the CID bureau and she’s happy to reunite with her elder brother, Abhijeet who is a senior CID cop. Everyone in the bureau is astonished when Abhijeet reveals that Ruhana took her training from the Delhi centre and worked for the CID branch in Delhi. Daya taps Ruhana’s head welcoming her to the team.

Ruhana begins familiarising herself with the team while Dr Salunkhe and ACP move into ACP’s cabin, and they don’t seem serious at the moment. There’s no case so far and Tarika is famished as Abhijeet is still holding Ruhana’s hand.

She’s emotional seeing it because here in this family, she gets that gesture from Daya and Rajat. The oldie doctor is her father figure, but it’d be more appropriate to say that the old doctor is her father. Seeing Ruhana, Tarika feels that she’ll be an additional, funny and cute friend for her. Tarika is lost in her thoughts when Ruhana’s cheery voice breaks her trance.

“Aapka naam Tarika hai , right?” Ruhana looks at her and she’s surprised.

“Han, lekin tumhe kaise pata?” Tarika questions.

“Kaise nahi pata hoga? Bhaiya se baatein hoti thi na, aap sabke baare mein. Mera bhi mann hota tha aapse aur baaki sabse milne kaa!” Ruhana says cheekily.

“That’s nice. Waise mujhe nhi pata tha tumhare bhai kaafi emotional aur caring hain.” Tarika smiles at Ruhana.

“Uffo! Aap itne saalon se mere bhai ko jaanti ho lekin fir bhi kuch nahi janti. Yahi toh problem hain na! Mere bhaisahab, kisi ko kuch batate hi nahi!” Ruhana says as she hugs Abhijeet who just smiles.

Well, that’s true! Abhijeet is that kind of soul who doesn’t open up easily. Except for Ruhana, Daya is the one who knows everything about Abhijeet. Tarika knows him but not in a way she should. Maybe, it is because they don’t get time to meet and open up to each other. And, it’s high time that they sit and decipher each other – Tarika feels so. Meanwhile, Daya interrupts the three souls.

“Acha! Aur kya bataya tumhare bhai ne?” Daya asks teasingly.

“Unhone bataya ki aap acha piano bajate ho!!” Ruhana giggles.

“Arey! Ye toh galat hai, mujhe nahi aata piano bajana!” Daya makes a face.

“Toh criminals aise hi thodi na darte hain aapse! Kuch toh baat hoti hai na!” Ruhana giggles.

“Darte toh tumhare bhai se bhi hain! Lekin lagta hai Abhijeet tumse darta hain!” Daya jokes at the moment, making Ruhana laugh.

“Haha! Darna bhi chahiye. Eklauti behen hoon main. Ghar mein mera raaj chalta hain aur chalega bhi!” Ruhana giggles at the moment.

“Han, after all, apne bhai ki laadli behen ho na. Toh ache se kharcha karvao.” Dr Tarika smiles at them.

“Oh yes! Aapka birthday bhi toh hain. Toh hum aaj hi party karte hain! What say?” Ruhana chuckles at the moment looking at everyone else.

“Mera birthday hain toh main party dungi na, Ruhana!” Tarika says.

“Hanji, lekin abhi toh aapne kaha ki behen hone ka fayda uthaao! Aur vaise bhi, kayi baar dost bhi toh party organise karte hain! Toh birthday aapka hai, lekin treat bade bhaiya ki hogi.” Ruhana chuckles and her brother is unable to say NO. 

“Ahan! Not a bad idea! Well done!” Daya pats her head while Ruhana just smiles.

Okay, she doesn’t know the equation between her brother and the forensic doctor. But her idea has started ringing bells in their hearts. As Ruhana gets talking to Freddy, Tarika looks at Abhijeet.

“Abhijeet, is sabki zaroorat nahi hain.” she says, looking at him.

“Kyun nahi hain? Ruhana ki baat main nahi taal sakta. And I should be doing it, I forgot the day which I shouldn’t.” Abhijeet says with a light smile, while the lady is touched.

“Acha laga ki tum kisi ki baat taalte nahi ho. Lekin …..” Tarika says and pauses as the landline phone in the bureau rings.

Abhijeet, who’s standing next to the telephone, picks it up and is shocked to hear the caller. He takes the necessary information and cuts the call. Meanwhile, ACP Pradyuman and Dr Salunkhe also come out of the cabin. The others have also turned their heads toward the senior officer and informed him about the case.

A lady’s corpse has been found on the Mumbai-Pune highway.  One of the passers-by has pulled the courage to inform them. Ruhana is also a little nervous and anxious, for she will be working with her brother now. ACP asks one team including Daya, Abhijeet, Ruhana, Shreya and Freddy to go to the crime scene.

Ah! The case is there and a hectic day begins. There’s no holiday for a CID officer, even if it's their special day. Abhijeet looks at Tarika as a couple of minutes ago,  she wanted to say something but couldn’t do that. But, the lady flashes a sweet smile to the senior inspector, telling him that they can continue later, their duty comes first.

Abhijeet smiles at Tarika and acknowledges her, he knows she’s the one who can handle him as he is. And she’s giving examples right away, she knows he won’t have time but she’s content with it. Their duties are more important to them than their personal talks.

A big day has begun!
