FIKR: Worry
Yash
I threw the file on the table with utter displeasure. "I had asked to make a report of a year, not a month." Trying to withhold the frustration busting inside me.
"Sorry... sir..." a shivering response got into my ears.
"Get lost!" I yelled, making the employee rush for his life. I leaned my hand on the table, massaging my forehead in exhaustion. What the hell was wrong with the employees? They weren't able to finish simple work. I groaned in displeasure, scrolling down the number of emails on my laptop screen. Though my eyes were strolling down the words but my brain wasn't able to register it.
"What the hell!" I yelled at myself as my mind kept on shifting to the morning incident. "Fuck!" I banged my fist on the desk. What had overpowered my senses? Fuck! I wasn't able to erase the thought of her so near to me from my mind. She was in such proximity, her black orbs staring at me with innocence. The way I had imagined her staring into mine brown ones.
That fucking insane moan from her melodious throat had driven me crazy. I had lost myself in the moment. I felt so content, so satisfied at that moment. Only if it wasn't for the knock! That knock had separated as well as made me realise it wasn't my stupid dream. "What the fucking hell!" I stood from the chair, frustrated by myself. My hands constantly messing with my hair as I strolled the length of the room with annoyance.
Aarohi was so shocked, fucking I lost her trust. I behaved like an asshole. Why couldn't I control my hormones? How could I behave like a pervert? How could I? I fisted my hand in anger and was on the verge to bang it on the glass window but a loud warning halted me.
"Oh! Man! Cooldown..." I huffed in exasperation as my hand stopped an inch before touching the mirror. "I guess you aren't in a good mood." He muttered getting inside.
"Just leave me alone," I attempted to dismiss him.
"That was exactly, what your assistant mentioned." He muttered not at all affected by my furious state. "And may I pry what's the reason behind it?" I heard him grabbing a seat. I turned to scowl at him but he offered me his sweet smile.
"It's about her..." I muttered under my breath before walking toward my desk. He stared at me suspiciously before his feature developed a grin. He was in his professional attire and may be bunking his office hour. I shook my head at his unprofessional nature. It was beyond me how was he holding such a big company with his careless nature? He would be hardly interested in deals.
"And may I know... what ended up wrong?" His orbs danced with curiousness. He had more interest in gossip than he could ever have in business.
"I committed a shit! Fucking I lost control over myself." I banged again on the desk as he flinched a little by my action.
"Cool down, young man!" He muttered. A mischievous grin played on his lip. "Finally! Your dick betrayed you..." I glared at his words. "I am so proud of my friend." I shook my head. It was waste of time!
"You can fucking leave the room." I groaned not pleased with his words.
"Okay, I apologise." He raised his hand in surrender. His black orbs danced in mischief as he held himself from smirking at me. "That isn't a thing troubling you..." that teasing smile wasn't leaving his face. His eyes kept spying on me, waiting for me to unfold my true emotion.
"She was fucking trying to knot me together with Yukta," I grumbled being fucking frustrated with my wife. Who even does that?
"Yukta? As in that annoying childhood friend of yours?" He inquired getting stunned by the revelation. He took a minute waiting for my response to confirm but I was rude not to offer him any. "Oh my!" And suddenly the room busted with his laughter making me regret voicing those words to him. "Your wife is one of a kind... and that's why she is my favourite woman."
"Don't you ever roll a word about my wife!" I hissed at him, fisting my hand to knock the breath out of his system. He raised his hand in surrender having that goofy smile.
"She is all yours man..." he muttered getting slightly intimidated by my rage. My heart saddened at those words, only if she could be mine... only mine.

I was engrossed in the file. After voicing my frustration to Abi, my best friend. I felt at ease though he would never provide any useful suggestion. Yet having a conversation about my problem with him made me realise that it wasn't a windstorm. His attitude towards life was the same. Nothing could stress him up and his attitude pissed his father. Making him conclude his son could never act responsibly. I shook my head when my cell rang, Wife, popping on the screen.
A wide smile played on my lips. It was a rare occasion when she called me up. Without wasting a second, I answered her call.
"Hello!" Anticipating to be met with the melodious voice of my wife.
"Finally! Have you blocked my number? As it was going to your voicemail," I was offered by a frustrated voice from Yukta making me shake my head in defeat. I couldn't be that fortunate to be gifted with my wife's voice. "Hey, are you still mad at me?" She sounded sad, I shook my head. I was acting rude to Yukta. She didn't deserve my arrogant nature. She was so clueless about my wife's nonsense thoughts.
"No, I am not!" I muttered making her sigh from the other hand. "It just I was engrossed in work. And as you would label me ambitious so my call is forwarded to voicemail except some..." I informed her shoving off her confusion.
"Oh!" She paused for a minute. "So, you're the same... workaholic." I chuckled listening to her grumble. "As you have a boring life and had converted your wife into same. I was planning to add some colour to her life and we had planned to visit a club."
"What, club?" I shook my head listening to her plan. "You aren't going as you would drive deep into alcohol," I warned displeased with her planning.
"Oh! Come one, Yash!" She whined like a kid, "I am grown up."
"Yeah, I can hear it..." She groaned louder at my response.
"Yash... please..."
"I am not going to be convinced. Talk to you, later." I hang up not giving in to her request and engrossed myself with the file before me. I couldn't put Yukta and club under the same statement. And Aarohi was new to that territory so I couldn't ever trust her with Yukta.
A minute later my cell popped with a notification. I was accepting another plead from Yukta but it was a different message.
"Have your lunch on time."
A broad smile played on my lip. I knew it wasn't Yukta, she was too much annoyed to care about my lunch. And that meant only one thing. Fuck! Why was I grinning like an idiot? I pressed the bell ringing for my assistant. I was never so excited about having lunch.

My eyes were shut in exhaustion as I parked the car in front of my mansion. Leaning into the seat, I stared at the lively mansion. I always forced myself a much longer than office hours as I wasn't intending to make Aarohi uncomfortable around my presence.
Though she never muttered a word against me her action spoke volume. She wasn't able to forget her ex-husband. As she had voiced it before our marriage. Our wedding was of convenience. She had warned me to walk back as she was determined that she won't ever be able to move from her past. The same emotion I glanced on her face when she pushed me away in the morning. The fear of betraying her husband, the love and care she held for him. I couldn't stop myself from envying the guy. He was so fortunate to earn love from such a loyal human being.
I shook my head forcing my leg inside the mansion. Doing my stay in the office, I longed to walk back to the mansion. I carved to glance at Aarohi and listen to her melodious voice scolding Aarush. Those orbs glaring at her son, that nose turning a shade of red. She looked so adorable in her furious state. But the minute I entered the mansion I felt so unwelcomed. I felt as if I was prying on her privacy as if I was so unwanted in her territory.
At least Aarush loved my presence, I convinced my heart. Grabbing myself together I carried myself towards the living room. Anticipating loud chores to be offered but met with silence. I glanced at my watch. Had I ended up late? No! It was nine passed thirty, Aarush was usually awake at this time.
I shook my head slowly climbing the stairs to glance into his room. And discovered his sleeping self, wrapped under the soft quilt. A huge smile spread on my face. I walked towards his bed. His presence provided me with certain peace. I slowly caressed his hair while sitting next to him. Playing with his brown, soft hairs. It reminded me of Aarohi, the way her soft hairs had tempted me to touch it, play with it. Brushing my thought away from his mother, I pressed a kiss on his forehead. Wishing him a peaceful sleep.
I made my way towards our room. Confused with the lack of commotion happening in the mansion. Suddenly Savita Tayi yelled from downstairs grabbing my attention. "Yash baba!" I stared at her in confusion. She never stayed for so long. "Baba when you arrived?" She asked in confusion but without waiting for my response, she uttered in rush. "I had prepared the dinner and had kept it on the dining table." She informed and seemed in haste to walk out of the mansion.
"Tayi!" I called her up, stopping her on the way. "Where are others?" I knew Aai might have returned home but what about Yukta and Aarohi? Why does the house seem extra quiet?
"They both had gone out and Yukta beta, mentioned they might end up late." I knitted my brow in confusion. Why wasn't I informed about it? And suddenly the flashes of Yukta's conversation reached my mind. She won't dare! I descended downstairs while dialling Yukta's number furiously. I underestimated her stubbornness. Fuck! Why the hell did Aarohi listen to her foolishness? I hadn't expected Aarohi to act so insane.
"Fuck! Pick up the call!" I gritted my teeth in rage.
"Is everything fine?" Tayi inquired getting concerned.
I rubbed my forehead in fury. "Tayi, I am sorry for extending your hours of work," I muttered feeling guilty for making her stay longer. "Aarush is alone..." she interrupted me.
"Baba, you don't stress up about him. I will be there." She assured blinking her eyes at me and taking it as a clue I walked out of the mansion. I kept dialling Yukta as I was unaware of their party location.
"Fuck!" As again the call went unanswered. "I fucking hope, she hadn't forced Aarohi to drink." I banged my fist on the streeling wheel as my other hand was busy dialling her number. Anticipating it was useless I called Aarohi, hoping she would receive my call.
"Hello!" A husky masculine voice answered from the other hand. I clenched my jaw as numerous possibilities shaped in my brain.
"What the hell are you doing with my wife's cell?" I spilt the venom, making the other line silent. "Fucking handle the phone to my wife..." I hissed at the human on the other hand.
"Dude, calm down..." A different voice spoke from the other hand. Made me calm a little as she was a female. My heart was accelerating and my mind burning with numerous consequences. I was fucking scared for my wife! She couldn't handle liquor, for God's sake!
I groaned, accelerating the car's speed. Rubbing my face in exhaustion. "Damn, tell me where is my wife and how is she?" I felt defeated, helpless, and drained.
"Calm down, buddy. Your wife is before our eyes. She is fine but seems absorbed by liquor. If possible reach early... this place isn't as decent as her." The voice informed sounding concerned about her.
"Location..." I sounded urgent and she muttered the nearest club to me. I had pulled the accelerator to the extreme level hanging the call. The car was flying like a rocket on the road. I broke two signals and heard traffic police whistling behind me but I didn't give a damn. I needed to reach Aarohi before... before... Fuck! I don't even want to imagine it.
It felt as if my heart was on my sleeves. I felt so restless as the enormous building got into view. The blazing light was attracting visitors but the crowd of drunkenness made me anxious. Fuck! My wife was crowded with such individuals engulfed in darkness. I wasn't fucking going to spare Yukta!
As I rushed towards the building and opened the glass door. I was met with an odour of liquor, sweat, and smoke engulfing the crowd. The loud music busted at one corner. Knowing Yukta and her craziness for dance, I pulled myself towards the accumulated crowd. My eyes scanned every corner of the club. The dim red light was making it miserable to search for a medium height woman.
My eyes kept strolling around and I soon found Yukta dancing to the beat of the music allowing random guys to touch her in every manner. I felt ignited by the manner they were touching her taking furious strikes towards my drunken friend. "Fuck! Why do you even drink if you can't take it?" I scowled at her whose dazing orbs glanced at me in surprise. She stopped moving to the rhythm of the music, her orbs sparkling in the dim light. Her arms slowly engulfed around my shoulder, a beautiful smile playing on her lip.
"You came... I knew you still care." She murmured tracing her finger down my chin.
"And you still need to behave stubbornly." I groaned at her, searching for the woman of my life. "Where is my wife?" I asked still strolling down the crowd.
"Wife... yeah... your wife..." she pointed in the direction and I turned to glance at it. A smile played on my lips glancing at the delicate soul. She was seating on the barstool near the counter her head leaning on it. Her eyes closed in peace and she seemed so out of place. I knew she won't ever admire the place she was in. My adorable wife!
"Should I be jealous? You had never stared at me with so much love..." Yukta blabbered making me realise I had to carry two drunken women back home. And I was glad that Aarush was fast asleep.
