Remember how a few posts away, I joked about being a psychic of sorts, because stuff that I write has been coming true in weird ways?

It happened again.

Right now. It did. 

In my book 'Don't Remind Me', my characters are very passionate about the lack of awareness in Pakistan regarding Child sexual abuse, and the lack of legitimate, helpful avenues for homeless victims of domestic abuse. (Not really a big spoiler here) So in the book, Layla and Azaan start conducting workshops for school students, where they talk about physical boundaries, and saying 'No' to Unsafe touches. 

Layla also goes on to establish a training, vocational center for domestic abuse victims. 

I've said it before that I have always felt very helpless regarding these issues in my society, and I have been unable to do anything about it. 

Well that is changing now. 

It changed five minutes ago, when one my dearest friends called me up, and told me that she has won a significant amount of donor grants to start an organization focusing on two things:

a) Child Sexual Abuse awareness, and Rehabilitation Training.

b) Vocational training, and counselling of domestic abuse victims. 

She wants me to be part of the core team of the organization. 

I'm actually crying right now. I'm so overwhelmed! 

Ya Allah, He's made such a dear wish of mine come true! How ever can I repay Him for this gift? Indeed I can never thank Him enough for this opportunity. I wished one day I could something more than just write about such issues, and that day is today! 

I'm going to write all sorts of impossible things now, like world peace, and Donald Trump falling into a ditch and breaking his Badger-ish head. Haha!
