Mermaid Kiss

The deep black ocean with crashing waves, splashing up on the rocks where the fair mermaid lays.

Her hair tumbles down to her perky sweet breasts, the ocean foam surrounding her like a protective nest.

Her tail glistens as the bright sun hits her scales, the beauty of her face will never fail.

She sings in the morning, she sings in the night - calling out to her true love with all of her might.

She watches the boats as they sail on by, hoping her love will find her this time.

Come to me she chimes her voice carried on the wind, her singing is angelic and only for him.

Seagulls circle, the clouds become black - today is the day that her true love will come back.

The boat old and rusty begins to approach, it slowly tugs along bringing her hope.

She jumps off her rock and glides through the sea, travelling through the currents and waves with ease.

She sees him wave, relief etched on his face - he jumps from the boat and swims to her with haste.

Ocean vast like a never-ending space, but all he sees is her angelic face.

Her arms are outstretched she's welcoming home, no longer will this mermaid have to be alone.

In her embrace his lips find hers, her body pressed again all tight and perked.

He goes to speak to declare his love - he's distracted when he hears the lighting crack from above.

The rain pours down and blurs his sight, his vision has gone, everything is white.

Breath from his body no longer free, he realises she is pulling him down to the bottom of the sea.

Further and further down they go - he tries to fight but she won't let him go.

She pulls him close to give him an everlasting kiss - this is her true love, her one true wish.

His eyes roll back into his head, with his last breath he is now dead.

She lets go off his lifeless body and lets out a cry - why does this happen to human men time after time.

His swollen blue face, with bulging frozen eyes - the ocean didn't want him and now he's been denied.

His body now food for the crabs that scuttle in the sea bed - she thinks to herself he couldn't have been my love, he's better off dead.

The deep black ocean with crashing waves, splashing up on the rocks where the fair mermaid lays.
