Bye Kaminari (Again)

Once Bakugou walked out, I noticed that Recovery Girl walked into the tent, holding a basket of some type of herbs. "Ah, I see that you kids haven't burned the tent down yet."

"Recovery girl!" Ochako and Mina stood up and said in unison.

"Yes, yes, I'm here. No major injuries while I was gone?" The small woman walked over to a desk and set her stuff down on top of it.

"Not really, unless you count Kaminari." Sero pointed out.

"Oh! Speaking of the boy, I think that I found out why our Kaminari's switch." Recovery girl said while sitting on a chair.

"What happened?" Sero tilted his head and he scooted closer to the blond who was sitting next to him.

"Well, he said that he died, and I was talking to a healer friend that I have while I was away and he said that he probably didn't want to die, so his spirit put itself into Kaminari's body when he drank that potion. The effects must have not kick in until the next morning."

"Is there a way to get our Kami back?" Iida asked.

"There is a way. That is part of the reason of why I took so long to get the herbs." Recovery Girl dug around in her basket until she pulled out three different types of berries and a few purple flowers. "We mush up the berries and make a tea out of these flowers. He has to drink the tea and put the mush onto his forehead before he sleeps. We'll have the other Kaminari by morning."

We all cheered, but Kaminari just looked down. "How about we try it out now?" Iida suggested.

We all agreed and Recovery girl started a fire outside of the tent for the tea and ordered Ochako to make the berry mush.

I noticed that Kaminari was slumped in his seat. "Hey man, are you okay?"

He turned his head to me. "Oh, yeah. I'm just nervous I guess. I mean, I don't know what's going to happen once I fall asleep." He chuckled anxiously.

"Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll be fine." I put a scaley hand onto his shoulder and gave him a smile, which he weakly returned.

Todoroki and a tomato-red Midoriya walked into the tent and started to    T-pose. "Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm, in the quotes of Kaminari from last night, 'The Big Gay™'."

"I-I guess that makes me have Bi Vibes?" Midoriya shrugged.

"Did you two get together finally?" Mina squealled.

Todoroki put his arms down and nodded. "Once I found him, we talked it over and now my father has a new reason to hate my existence."

"I'm so happy for you two!" Ochako cheered. "I knew that you've liked him since we first met him, Deku!"

"Ye-yeah. I know." The green haired boy scratched his neck sheepishly.

"Ochako, are those berries done?" Recovery Girl popped her head inside the tent.

"Oh, almost ma'am!" Ochako picked the bowl back up and kept mushing the berries until they were unrecognizable. "Here."

"Ooh, food." Todoroki tried to stick his finger into the berry mixture, but Recovery Girl smacked his face with her cane.

"Don't eat those. They'll do some weird stuff to you." Recovery Girl put her cane down and reached for the bowl. "You shouldn't eat anything in here unless I say that it's okay to eat."

"Sorry Recovery Girl." Todoroki rubbed his cheek and looked down.

"Recovery Girl, is this tea ready?" Ochako yelled.

"It should be fine by now. Kaminari, are you ready?" Kaminari nodded his head tightly and Recovery Girl gestured him to outside, which we all followed.

  "What's going on?" Midoriya asked.

"We're getting our Kaminari back." Mina explained.

Kaminari sat criss-crossed next to a log as Recovery got the tea ready. "This drink will make you tired, so get in a comfortable position." Kaminari nodded and grabbed the cup from her hands. He stared at the drink for a moment before looking at us. "Guys, before I go, I have to tell you something. I lied to you."

"We knew that those stories were fake, Kami. Don't worry." Mina put her pink hand on his shoulder.

"No, those were real. What I was going to say was, I lied to you about 22."

  "About what?" Ochako asked.

"The song I was singing with Sero a few days ago. It isn't a legend. I just like music from the early 2010's." Kaminari confessed.

I blinked at him. "Kami, we don't care about that now. At least you told us."

"Yeah, I had to come clean about that."

"Just drink the tea." Bakugou's voice sounded from the trees. I looked and I noticed him walking over. "Man, you guys talk really loud. I could hear your loud mouths for miles. It scared away the prey."

"That's an oof." Kaminari chuckled before earning a glare from Bakugou. The blond sighed and stared at the tea. "Okay, here goes nothing." He pulled the cup towards his face and drank the tea. We all watched closely as he finished the cup and put it down.

"How are you feeling?" Recovery Girl asked him.

"I'm getting tired. This reminds me of your quirk, Recovery Girl. You should drink some of the lake water. You'll be able to get healing powers." Kaminari let out before yawning.

"He's becoming delusional." Recovery Girl laid him down onto the ground and started to put the berry mush onto his forehead.

Kaminari looked like he was going to say something, but he blacked out.

A noise was heard from the trees and we swiveled our heads to it. A man dressed in all black with long black hair and black eyes walked into our clearing. What is he doing wearing all black in this weather? "Recovery Girl."

"Ah, hello Aizawa. What do you need?" Recovery Girl asked.

"I need to talk to you privately." He moved his eyes towards the tent.

"Okay, let's go. Kids, stay out of the tent while the grown-ups are talking." Recovery Girl spoke before she disappeared into the tent with the man.

----------------

Hours later, we noticed that it was getting dark and Kaminari hasn't woken up yet, and Aizawa and Recovery Girl haven't stopped talking from inside the tent.

"What is taking so long?" Sero asked while looking at the blond. "I hope he's not dead." He ripped a peice of bark off of the log he was sitting on and poked Kaminari. Kaminari's eyes shot open and we all screamed, except for Todoroki and Bakugou. They flinched instead.

Kaminari sat up and patted his clothes. "How're feeling?" Sero asked.

Kaminari looked at us. "Dudes, it didn't work."

We all groaned. "All of that for nothing?" Bakugou sighed.

"I don't know what happened! I did everything that Recovery Girl said to. I even had a dream about my dimension." Kaminari explained.

"I know what happened." Recovery Girl came back out with Aizawa behind her. "You didn't want to go."

Kaminari looked at her. "I-I did. They wanted their Kaminari back, so I knew that I had to leave."

"Deep down though, you don't want to go, do you?" Recovery Girl took a few steps closer.

Kaminari sat there silently until he just stood up. "Uh, I'm going to take a walk. I have a lot of energy from that nap. So. Yeah. Bye." He then dashed out of the clearing.

"That's the fourth time that someone has ran into the woods just during today." Mina sighed.

"I'm going to make sure that he's okay." I stood up and started to follow his trail. I heard Mina say something about me being the fifth out of ten people, but I shrugged her off.

I chased his scent trail to as far as I could, until I saw him sitting under a tree with his hat over his face. "Kami?"

He looked up at me with teary eyes. He smiled and wiped them on his sleeve. "Hey Kiri. What are you doing?"

"I came to check on you. What's wrong?" I sat against a tree that was in front of him.

"Well, Recovery Girl is right. I- I don't want to go Kiri." Kaminari's gaze lowered from mine and he stared at the ground. "I'm honestly scared. I'm supposed to be dead, but I've held onto life for so long. What if I do it again, but in that dimension, they don't have the remedy and everything is awful. Or what if I don't go into another dimension and I'm wandering around a dark void for forever?" He spoke.

"Well, I can tell you this much Kami." I scooted closer to him and away from the tree. "There was a time where I was almost dead, and I can assure you, that I wanted to go."

"Yeah, because your situation was horrible. I'm guessing that it had to hve been when you were at Endeavor's place, right?" I nodded and he continued. "He's a bad person here, and you were stuck with him. There is no question on why you wanted to die, but I don't want to. I want to be in my old dimension, where I can dance and sing old songs horribly with my boyfriend, and be able to hold my Sero. My Hanta. I just, I want to be home. "

"I know that your situation is different, but you have to let go, Kami. I know that you want your boyfriend back, and I know that you want your other friends back too, but they're going to be gone." I explained, each word was visibly breaking him, but I didn't know what else to say, or how else to put it. The tears came down faster and he grabbed my arms to pull me into a hug. I gently rubbed his back as an effort to try to comfort him.

Kaminari's Perspective

I didn't know what I was thinking when I hugged him, but I just wanted some sort of human contact, to show myself that this was a real thing that is happening to me at the moment. That I'm dead and that they want me to leave so that their friend can come back. That once I'm ready to leave, I'm either going to be in an endless void all by myself, or stuck jumping from dimension to dimension, seeing thousands of versions of people that I know.

Kirishima interupted my thoughts and pulled away. "Hey, maybe the afterlife won't be that bad. What if time has passed in your world and your friends are already dead. You'll be able to see them again."

  "And if they're not?"

"I know that you'll be watching over them." Kirishima gave me a small smile. It was always weird seeing this Kirishima smile, because it made me picture my Kirishima, and they're so different, yet the same, if that makes sense.

I smiled back weakly and nodded. "Yeah." That gave me a new thing to think about, something that gave me hope. I let out a sigh. "I think that I'm ready."

Kirishima nodded. "You still have the berry stuff on your forehead, maybe it'll still work."

"Yeah, maybe." I laid down and closed my eyes slowly. Thoughts of U.A, the Teachers, my friends, of everything kept popping into my head. Suddenly, there was a blinding white light and when I opened my eyes I wasn't in the pirate costume anymore. I looked down and realized that I was wearing the same clothes that I died in.

"Denki?" I stopped looking at my clothes and stood straight up. No... I slowly turned around and I put my hands over my mouth to contain myself.

Kirishima had been right. Hanta was standing in front of me, but he looked older than he did when I saw him last. His hair was shorter and he grew even more, making him tower over me. He was wearing his hero costume, but it looked like it changed over the years. I chuckled and smiled as tears were going down my face. "Hey Hanta."

The black-haired man ran to me. He picked me up in a hug and swung me around. I smiled and hugged him back. Finally, was all I could think.

Once he set me down, we both laughed as tears streamed down our faces. "I've been looking for you literally everywhere, man! Where were you?"

"I was in a different dimension. It was so strange, but I'm glad that you're here." I hugged him again, but a question zoomed into my mind and I backed up. "Wait, why are you here?"

He waited for a second before he replied. "A hero incident. I was saving a kid and as soon as I got them to safety, the villain stabbed my back." He turned around and I saw multiple stab wounds on his back. "I'm pretty sure that I traumatised that girl, but I saw Kirishima dragging her away before I croaked." He explained.

"Do they hurt?" I asked, but he shook his head and turned around.

"You have a hand-shaped scar right here." Hanta traced out where Tomura's hand was before I died. He stared at it with sadness in his eyes. "You know, I've always felt so guilty about not going into your room that day."

"For real? Like, you felt bad because I told you to stay in your room?"

"Putting it that way makes it sound stupid." He chuckled and put his hand on his neck.

"Because it kinda is Hanta." I smiled and grabbed his arms. "I never blamed you, you know that, right? I'm the one who left my hoodie in my room."

"Yeah, yeah. I know. After you died, we had a sleepover and we painted a wall in the 1-A dorms. I think that it's still there to this day, too."

"You painted a wall for me?"

"Yep! We painted it the same color as your hair." He took away one of his hands and used it to mess up my hair. "We even added in the lightning strike."

"Wow." I said. "So, what have the others been up to?"

Sero looked up to think. "Bakugou and Kirishima got married, Mina got her own agency, and Midoriya and Todoroki got together. I lost touch with the other classmates before I died, but I know that they're still alive."

I nodded. "Wow, I missed out on a lot."

"Yeah, but what about that world you were talking about?"

  "The what?"

"The reason why you've been gone. You said that you were in some type of dimension. What was that about." He tilted his head curiously.

I smiled. "Man, you are not going to believe the stuff that I've went through."
