Keith :" WELL THAT'S IT YOU'RE OFFICIALLY ON MY SH*T LIST!!!! You're going to run laps around the training grounds until I tell you to stop and if I see you slacking you won't have any dinner!!!", he roared, making Sasha yelp and start running around the training grounds.

(A/n : Raphael's POV)

We had seen Sasha starting to run laps around the training grounds, some of us were laughing whilst others were actually having pity for her. Well it is what it is since this will be our life for now if we want to become members of the Scouting Regime later on.

After that, Sergeant Shadis had told us to follow him to another place. The place itself was divided into squares and he said.

Sergeant Shadis : " Right now we're going to learn basic self-defense techniques. Before anyone dares to do the foolish questions of why do you have to learn such things whilst they might not be careful, facing potential criminals, armed or not, inside the walls is required.
I'm going to say the pairs that are going to be facing one another in a 1v1 scenario in which one of you will be the aggressor whilst the other one will be the defending one. There will be two rounds and I expect nothing less than you to give it your all. ", he said to us starting to say which one will face which and I'm up against Armin... oh boy, I'm going to definitely feel bad if I hurt him by accident.

We had went towards the place where we were going to be sparring at and I allowed him to be the aggressor for this one.

Me : " You can be the aggressor for this once", I said to him and I saw his fair skin tone face becoming a deathly pale by my actions.

Armin : " W-Why me?", he asked me, stuttering nervously as his eyes were wide open in shock and I could basically smell the fear radiating from him, hoping that this is what I smelled and not the scent of urine.

Me : " * sighs * Sergeant Shadis said that one of us will be the aggressor for one round and then the other one will take their place.", I said to him, getting a fighting stance.

(A/n : Imagine Raphael's fighting stance being something in between kick boxing and Tae Kwon Do)

Armin :" * gulps nervously * F-Fine then ", he said to me, getting into a shaky stance similar to a boxing one.

Me : ' *In his mind * Well,... thankfully the wooden knife doesn't cut since I wouldn't want me to accidentally show to everyone my part Titan characteristics via the production of steam when healing and having him to accidentally hurt himself by shaking that much. ', I thought to myself, sighing softly.

Sergeant Shadis : " Begin!!!", he said to us, earning a squeaky yelp from Armin who was coming towards me,
I had dodged his first hit, getting his hand by the wrist and the the second one as well, swiping his legs beneath him before knocking him down with a pivot throw.

Keith Shadis : ' *In his mind* Armin Arlert, although he's built like a daffodil, he's naturally gifted in leading and earning the respect of his fellow cadets. A natural born leader.', he thought to himself.

(A/n : Small time skip to his next opponent)

Keith Shadis : " * In his mind * I see that you've managed to beat Armin quite easily, but what about the next one. * looks at the others * The next sparring match will be between Raphael Yeager and Annie Leonhardt!!!!", he said to them as Raphael had taken his place.

He was watching Annie as she had gotten into the area that the sparring match would take place. She was shorter than he was, probably a head shorter than him to be specific about it with blonde, short hair and almost stoic, icy blue eyes.

He had taken his fighting stance and so did she, her eyes weren't getting away from him, meaning that she was probably trying to find out the same thing as he was. If they were the Titans from back at the fall of Wall Maria.

He had paid attention to the fact that she had similar facial characteristics and stance with the Female Titan that he had fought against, but he couldn't be that sure since despite the fact that their stances were the same, that didn't meant that she was indeed the one controlling the Female Titan since there were other people, cadets and not, that had blonde hair and blue eyes.

Keith Shadis : " Begin!!!", he said to them as they had begun their sparring match, both of them seemed quite surprised due to the fact that they were close to one another in both speed and techniques.

Annie had decided to try and end it by doing her 'Coup de Grace' which consisted of three consecutive kicks from those one of them was a low one aimed to bring her opponent to their knees and was effectivev in bringing Raphael to his knees.   
  Another kick was a mid kick, aimed towards the opponent's abdominal section in order to at least break a rib or cause internal damage and potential bleeding internally, which was blocked although having Raphael to get a small bruise, thankfully for him that part of his hand was in his jacket.
  Finally, the last kick was a high kick towards the face that had the intention of knocking out and possibly incapacitating her opponent, but to her misfortune, Raphael had blocked her using the forearm of his hand, making Annie's eyes to widen from the emotions of both surprise and slight fear due to the deja vu, with a side of recognition to the one that she was actually against, knowing that there was no other way to learn about her signature attack other than if he had seen them first hand by being present to the place where she had used them. The Fall of Wall Maria.

Annie : " Y-You...", she said to him, stuttering in obvious fear, losing her stoic face, which had been replaced by quivering lips and wide eyes, earning a satisfactory smirk from the silvery white haired teen that she was against in the first place.

Raphael : " * smirks slightly looking at her* Long time no see shortie", he said to her eerily calm as his smirk had widened slightly more, before knocking her down by pulling her by the leg towards him and putting her legs in a Four Figure Leg Lock.

(A/n : Just like that but replace the one doing the takedown with Raphael and the one who's knocked down with Annie)

Raphael : " * sees her pained face * If I were you, I would actually tap out or else I would have to skip legday for a month or so", he said to her as if it wasn't any hard to think matter and Annie didn't needed to be told twice about it so she had started to tap the ground, having Shadis to stop the sparring match.

Keith Shadis : ' *In his mind* Raphael Yeager, the literal definition of a Lone Wolf. He's a natural prodigy in terms of strength and techniques that could be possibly on par with Lieutenant Levi.
Whilst his stone-cold methodology that can be terrifying, the only things that he lacks at are the fact that he's difficult to cooperate with and has little to none leading skills. ', he thought to himself.

(A/n : Timeskip to about a year after they had ended their training since they go exactly like the anime and they were placed at the Survey Corps (Raphael was ranked directly below Mikasa just to let you know))

(A/n : Raphael's POV)

Me, Mikasa, Eren and Armin had finally done it, we're parts of the Survey Corps. I have to say that although I'm basically more Titan than human, except for the appearance itself and being a part of a team that was trained in order to kill Titans is weirdly ironic, but I would never try to defend any other Titan in my life for what they've done, slaughtering countless people and making me to nearly lose the people that I care about the most.
My biological father, Ares, will be the only one that I'll ever forgive in the midst of countless other Titans since he had sided himself with the humans instead of his kin. I had blinked my eyes, trying my best to not think about his and my mother's deaths by the other Titans. We were right now stationed on the wall with our current job being to maintain and clean up the cannons, along with looking out for any possible Titan attack since things had been bizarrely quiet the past few years.

Eren : " * sighs * I honestly think that we could do many more things than maintaining the cannons. I mean that we're the future members of the Survey Corps and not of the Garrison Regime so it shouldn't be our work to clean up the cannons.", he said to us frustrated.

Jean :" I honestly think that you really wish to die that badly Yeager. You should learn to actually remain calm once in a while and enjoy the last few moments of peace that you might have. ", he said to him, earning a low growl from my younger brother since Jean was basically one of the people who were getting on our nerves this past few years, despite the fact that Marco had tried to basically make him to calm down.
Spoiler alert, it never worked out well for anyone and the fact that he was trying to get extremely flirty with Mikasa, despite the fact that she didn't wanted to see his horse face in front of her, it is still angering me that much which actually makes me to wonder why does he want to be accepted by her and be closer to her in a perverse way that much, despite the fact that she obviously never wanted to see his face again.

Eren : " It's actually ironic that those words come from the mouth of the one who wanted to be a part of the Military Police that wanted to live an easy life like another licker of the royals and strangely enough chose to be a part of the Survey Corps instead. I mean, it's not like a Titan will actually appear behind me?! ", he said to him and in que a MASSIVE lightning bolt had struck the ground outside of the walls and behind him appeared one of the Titans that I hated the most, the one who had kicked in the wall Maria.

Eren : " * sighs seeing that the others were holding their blades in their hands * Let me guess, there's a Titan bigger than the walls behind me, isn't it?", he asked them confused as to why they were holding their weapons out.

Raphael / Mikasa / Armin and the others :" * nod their heads slowly * ", they silently responded to him and only four words came out of Eren's mouth on that moment.

Eren :" For f***s sake. RUN!!!", he said to them and as soon as the others took off from the wall, the Colossal sized Titan had kicked in the wall, making Eren to go against him shouting profanities towards the massive Titan, as usual, but the only thing that he could hit was steam since the Titan itself had disappeared as soon as the teenager's blades were inches from coming in contact with the flesh of the Titan's nape.

Eren : '*In his mind* Damn it, I wasn't fast enough to get the job done', he thought to himself frustrated enough, landing on the roof of a house that some of the other cadets were on as well.

Two members of the Survey Corps had came towards them and despite their protests Mikasa, Raphael and Eren had been separated from one another, by being in three separated groups.

The one that Mikasa was in, was responsible for the evacuation of the civilians so that they wouldn't be Titan food, the one that Eren and Armin were in was going to kill the Titans at the Trost district, much to Eren's delight and Armin's fear. The final one, the one that Raphael was in, had been the one that had been providing assistance to a group nearby the eastern districts.

After the explanations of what they were going to do they were being dispatched at the places that they were called to be at.

(A/n : A small timeskip to Raphael's group since at Mikasa's and Eren's groups things were going EXACTLY the same as the anime.)

(A/n : Still in Author's POV)

Raphael was with another group towards the eastern districts, the place itself was a pandemonium with Titans eating cadets both trained ones and newbies left and right, in some moments Raphael could actually shudder seeing that some of the Titans weren't as merciful to give them a painless death by chewing them apart, but they were swallowing them whole, which was evident by seeing squirming lumps that were formerly used to be cadets, descending down some of the Titans throats.
He was so disturbed by this fact that he couldn't see that an abnormal Titan had jumped towards him and he would have been a denizen of a Titan's stomach, if it wasn't for another cadet that had pushed him away, saving him from suffering a fate worse than death itself, but at the cost of his life.
The Titan had clamped his teeth shut, around the cadet's lower body, making it to ooze with blood and the cadet himself to scream in pain as the Titan was shaking his head left and right as if it was a shark that was about to tear apart the prey that was unlucky enough to be caught in his powerful jaws.

The haunting screams were enough for Raphael to break out from his disturbed state as he had proceeded to bring out his blades and hook on the abnormal Titan, cutting through bones, muscles, tendons and skin tissues from its nape down to the very end of the Titan's spinal cord, making blood and spinal fluids to cover both him and the ones around him.
Once he had made sure that the Titan was dealt with and there wasn't any other Titan coming for him, he had asked a question towards the nearly dead member of the Survey Corps that his legs and most of his torso were missing as his guts and parts of his bones and muscles could be seen on the ground.

Raphael : " Why did you save me? You could have left me be and save yourself.", he said to him, not knowing the real reason behind why was he saved.

Cadet : " * shakily breaths as tears were running out of his eyes * A-Avenge... Wall... M-Mari...a", he had weakly said to him, his dark brown colored eyes losing their light, adopting a more gloomy yet glass-like look, signifying that he was dead. This valiant cadet was Edgar Alan Schultz, one of Raphael's colleagues from back in the training days and the only one who he would call as a friend. Raphael had knelt by his side and using the thumb and index fingers of his hand, he had closed Edgar's eyes a last sign of respect for him.

Raphael : "Rest assured old friend", he muttered towards him, a small tear was threatening to leave his eyes, but he had quickly wiped it away, his friend knew since back then that he wouldn't make it out alive and wished for him to be strong and not cry had he seen him dying.

Raphael : ' *In his mind* I'll kill every single one of them, leaving no one spared', he thought to himself, taking off like an eagle trying to find his next prey, his bright red eyes were shining with a renewed, vengeful vigor in them.

He had went towards the direction of Armin's group, killing many Titans along the way, abnormals and not, mostly by mutilating them first, letting them suffer and bleed in pain before bringing his blades down their nape, killing them and ending their suffering.

Raphael : " * looks at Armin * Armin, thank God that you're okay. Where's Eren?", he asked him politely in worry about his younger brother's life and seeing that Armin hadn't answered his question, only fuelled his anger more, making Raphael to grab Armin by the collar of his t-shirt.

Raphael :" I'll ask you one more time Armin WHERE is Eren!?", he said to him making Armin to start to tear up and have a stuttering fit.

Jean : " * groans * The thing that Armin can't say to you is that Eren is actually dead. This suicidal blockhead had sacrificed himself for saving Armin from being Titan food. Serves him right", he groaned towards him, making an almost animalistic growl to erupt from Raphael's throat as within SECONDS he had left Armin's shirt collar and was in front of Jean, punching him in the gut, making the horse-like faced teen to drop to his knees, coughing up blood.

Raphael : " If I hear another word from your mouth that he deserved to die, I'll chop your head before you even have the time to think about blinking.", he growled and went to leave, ignoring the others.

Raphael : ' *In his mind* I'm going to kill every single existing Titan. No. Holding. Back!!!', he thought to himself as he had flew as high as he could possibly go and shouted, but his shout, one of pain and rage wasn't a normal one. It had a deep, ominous, almost demonic echo behind his voice.
