Prologue
They stood frozen, their eyes locked on the flames consuming the house. Rester and Jetto were trembling, too shocked to speak, their bodies paralyzed with fear. Subaru couldn't process what he was seeing, his mind refusing to accept the reality before him. Erano and Emo's heart-wrenching cries pierced the night, echoing through the desolate street. The crackling of the fire roared in the background, almost drowning out their voices.
Zen's shaking hands fumbled to dial the ambulance, while Ray, his face streaked with tears, frantically called the fire department. Their fingers moved instinctively across their phone screens, yet everything felt distant—a blur. Eyes brimming with tears, they barely registered the world around them. Would they save her? Could they pull her from the inferno, a blaze so intense it barred them from even setting foot inside?
Moments earlier, Rester, Jetto, and Subaru had charged toward the burning building, driven by a desperate impulse to save her. But Emo, Erano, and Zen held them back, gripping their arms, refusing to let them take that fatal step. This wasn’t just about impulse. They needed a plan—a logical, well-timed decision. She had to be saved. None of this was her fault. So why was she paying for the mistakes they had made?
It was the school. The reason they were all trapped in this nightmare, the spirit that now haunted them, was all tied to that cursed place. Dahlila High and its web of lies.
And now, because of it, she was fighting for her life in the heart of the fire.
