"How was the party last night?" My mom asks as i walk into the kitchen.

"It was...intersting." I say pouring myself a glass of
milk.

"Thats cool, Dana was a little loud last night." My mom says with a smirk.

"Yeah, she just doesn't know how to keep her voice low." I say smirking aswell.

My mom laughs.

"I have something to tell you." My mom says leaning over out island.

I raise my eye brow waiting for her to continue.

"Well, Josh is going over to Miami for a doctor's convention, and he invited me tag along." She says.

"Ooh, Miami." I say, "When would you leave? And how long would you be gone?"

"Well the convention is two days, but Josh said we could stay longer for a little vacation." She says.

"And how long would that be? Homecoming dance is friday." I say grabbing an apple from the bowl.

"Crap. I totally forgot about the dance. Josh wanted us to stay until next monday. I can cancel, we need to get you dress, shoes and all that." She says reaching for her phone.

"Mom, no. You need a little vacation, Dana and I will be fine here." I say grabbing her phone before she does.

Just then Dana appears with her hair all messed up, along with her make up, and she's still in her clothes from last night.

"Why will we be fine?" She asks scratching her leg.

"I didn't expect you to be up until tomorrow," I laugh, "and my mom wants to go on a little vacation."

"When?" Dana yawns.

"Later tonight." My mom says sheepishly.

"Tonight?" I say suprised.

"I don't have to go, give me my phone and I'll call Josh." She says reaching for her phone again.

I move it away.

"Mom, you're going on this little vacation. Go get yourself a tan,drink some margaritas, and relax." I say.

"Alright, but I'll be texting Veronica to let her know the deal." My mom says.

Mom and Veronica have actually become like best friends. They go eat dinner together, shop, and even go to the spa alot.

They are quite funny when they get together.

"Can you guy stop yelling? My head is killing me." Dana says flopping onto the couch.

Me and my mom laugh.

"Well I'm going to start pack, call me if you need me." M mom says grabbing her phone and jogging up the stairs.

I smile and shake my head, then walk over to Dana.

"So what do you wanna do today?" I say flicking her toes.

"I wanna relax." She groans.

"Youre no fun." I laugh.

"Can we just stay home and watch movies?" Dana says.

"Sure, netflix?"

"And chill." She says with a wink.

"Oh god." I say rolling my eyes.

(Monday, School)

"Ugh, why do I have to be here?" Kendra groans.

"Because you need to graduate highschool." Ashton replies.

She groans.

We are waiting in the parking lot waiting for everyone else to arrive.

"Guess what I have?" We turn to see Greyson and Dana holding 3 boxes of donuts.

"Gimme!" Skipper growls snatching a box from Greyson and walking away.

"How can she be like 20 pounds but consume so much?" Ashton says shaking his head.

"It's called, I'm lucky." Skipper shouts stuffing a powdered donut in her mouth.

We all laugh.

"Wheres Bentley?" I ask.

Then suddenly I'm hugged from behind.

"Right here." He says kissing my head.

"Hey, you never called me last night." I say giving him a pouty face.

"I know, Greyson and I had to into the city. There was an incident." He say not meeting my eyes.

"What happened?" I ask.

"I'll tell you later." He says quickly then reaches for a donut.

Hmm. Something's up, by I won't keep pushing him to tell me.

We all start talking, when my phone goes off.

I look down to see a text from Blake.

Meet me by gym storage room. Asap.

"Guys I'll be back." I say backing away.

"Where are you going?" Bentley asks grabbing my hand.

"Uh, to the bathroom." I lie.

"I'll come with you, I need to fix up my make up." Dana says putting the box of donuts down.

"Uh, no I'm actually meeting with Mrs.Donavan to talk about my grade, near the bathroom." I say then quickly speed off.

I sped walk to the gym storage room to see Blake leaning on the door.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Karlie Ann left. Again." He says folding his arms.

"To where?" I ask.

"She left me note saying she went to check on Aidan." He says sounding pissed.

"But doesn't he live with vampires?" I ask my eyes going wide.

"Yes, but i dont think he'd be stupid to bring her to them." He says.

"Maybe they'll meet at the penthouse, did you text her?"

"I texted 20 times, shes not responding."

"Okay, well let's wait, maybe she'll reply, or maybe she'll show up. If she doesn't we can go the city to get her." I say putting my hand on Blakes shoulder he nods.

"Something doesn't feel right Lucy." He says looking in my eyes.

"Do you think we should tell Bentley, about you know, Aidan?" I whipser.

"Well, let's just find Karlie first. If we don't we will."

I nod.

"So if she doesn't show, or reply go straight to my car after last block, and we'll head to the city."

"Alright, but what do we tell the others?" Blake asks.

"Shit, uh tell them were grabbing supplies for a prank? But only if they ask." I say nodding.

"Okay, let's get back to everyone before they come looking for us." Blake says picking up his bag.

"Dont forget, right after the bell."

I really hope Karlie Ann just shows up to school, or at least replies back. I don't like lying to Bentley but Karlie's secret isnt for me to tell.

But like we told her, if something bad happens, Bentley will be filled in.

And along with Blake,for some reason I think something bad is coming.

(Lunchtime)

Today is going by so slow, and still no sign of Karlie Ann. So it looks like Blake and I will be taking our trip.

I walk to our lunch table with my lunch in my hand. I recieve dirty looks from Loren and her table, along with Camilla who looks bored at the same time.

She's probably seeing Loren for her true fake self.

But hey, jokes on her.

I sit down to be greeted by everyone's chatter.

"I heard about that! Drew was telling me about that in Chemistry." Blake shouts.

"What happened?" I ask sliding down between Bentley and Ashton.

"Aaron was suspended for three months having Xanax in his locker." Bentley says biting into his sandwich.

Woah.

"I mean maybe that's why the real reason they call him the 'Xan Man'." Greyson points.

"Following in his brothers footsteps." Kendra says shaking her head.

"He has a brother?" I ask.

Kendra nods.

"Jason Xan. He graduated last year, but he was one of the biggest dealer's in Sunyhill. Jordan heard that he went to rehab, starts up again then went to jail." Kendra adds.

Ashton groans.

"Can you stop listening to Jordan? Everything that girl says is a complete lie." He says rolling his eyes.

Kendra throws a grab at him.

"Have you guys seen Karlie?" Bentley asks.

No one says anything, but Blake and I make eye contact.

"I think she stayed home, she wasn't feeling good yesterday." Blake says then quickly chugging his milk.

"Oh, I hope she feels better because we need to start training as soon as possible." Bentley says taking one of my fries.

Lunch continues and then I go to gym. We had substitutes today, so we got to have a studyhall instead of having actual gym.

I didn't mind, since I have alot of homework, and wouldn't be able to do it later.

I'm kinda nervous, to go to the city.

Yeah I'll be with Blake, but i still don't think it's safe, especially now that I k ow vampires exist and they at roaming around the city.

I just hope we can get Karlie Ann and get out before anything happens.

And maybe grab some ice cream from that shack across from the pizza shop.

Their homemade German chocolate cake ice cream is heavenly.
