1.9 - See You Soon

Katherine and Caroline sat with Matt days later to discuss their idea. Alivia was slowly getting back to herself. Matt allowed her to go to work so the two vampires could come over.

"Sending her away seems like the best option. She's been around us for so long it's driven her crazy. She never wanted to become a vampire until now." Caroline said. Matt sat with his arms crossed, taking in all the information.

He wanted what was best for his little sister. She needed time away to experience a human life without the supernatural surrounding it. He thought this would be best for her.

"I have to pick her up soon. Should I tell her or do you want to?" Matt rose from his seat, his decision final.

"I want to. If that'd okay with you." Katherine said. She was silent the entire time. She was shipping her girlfriend off somewhere to keep her safe for a while.

Spending the rest of their lives together would have to be put on hold.

Alivia wiped down the last table for the night when Matt came inside. Alivia smiled at his presence.

"Hi Matty." Matt smiled.

"Ready to go?" He asked. Alivia nodded, seeing something was troubling him. The fake smile was the proof.

Alivia nodded before running into the back room to discard of her apron and followed her brother out to his truck. The drive was silent. They drove away from their house, toward the direction of Katherine's.

Alivia looked at Matt. He kept his eyes to the road. He parked to the side and turned to his sister. "I want you to know that every decision I make is because I love you." He said suddenly.

Alivia smiled sweetly and embraced her brother. "Thanks Matty." She got out of the truck and ran to the lobby door.

Climbing up to Katherine's floor, Alivia knocked on the door and waited for her girlfriend. Everything was stranger now. She hadn't seen much of Katherine since the incident. But Alivia was getting better.

The door opened. Alivia admired Katherine's attire. She wore a beautiful red dress. Her hair was in its usual curls but some was pinned back.

"I didn't realize I was suppose to dress up." Alivia said, mouth open in astonishment.

Katherine chuckled. "I've got it all inside. We're going out tonight." Katherine wanted to make tonight perfect for her. Her last night in Mystic Falls.

They'd planned it all for tomorrow. It was just telling Alivia it was happening. Katheirne hoped she'd be calm about it and understand that they all meant well.

Katherine grabbed the purple dress that was hung in her closet. Her eyes caught the ring on Alivia's finger and she smiled. "It'll match perfectly with that." She commented.

Handing the dress over, Alivia changed quickly. When stepping out from the side, Katherine blushed at how her girlfriend looked absolutely stunning.

Alivia had pulled her hair out from its ponytail and it fell nicely behind her back. No kinks, just naturally perfect. Katherine was glad tonight was going right. She just hoped it'd continue that way.

It was by the end of the night, one filled with laughter and love, that Katherine decided it was time to tell her.

But everything was perfect. Alivia was herself again, the human girl Katherine had fallen in love with. The human girl that Katherine took the risk to kiss at her cabin. The human girl that changed her.

Alivia was overly happy. Katherine made her happy. With everything that had happened, she was glad that it was calmer now and everyone was okay.

Katherine didn't want to ruin this moment, because she knew the moment she opened her mouth she'd destroy one of the best moments of her life.

So instead, she stopped Alivia from walking down the street. Alivia turned to her girlfriend. The look in Katherine's eyes worried her. There was fear. Something she never seen before.

Katherine pulled her in slowly, her arms incircling her waist, her fingers brushing by her arms. This was the last time she could do this before rage would corse through Alivia's body.

Katherine lifted a hand to brush away the strands of hair that escaped from behind Alivia's ear and tucked them, leaving her hand on her cheek. Katherine's eyes threatened to water, but she composed herself.

"I love you." Katherine whispered in full confidence before pulling Alivia into possibly their last kiss.

Alivia felt the love and emotion Katherine was giving, she just didn't understand why. Alivia had her hands rested on Katherine shoulders, bringing her arms around to pull her closer.

It was a simple kiss. No continuation of their lips coming together again and again, just there, in the streets, lips pressed tightly together, in all the warmth and love they gave each other.

One last time.

"Alivia." Katherine called, pulling away from the kiss.

"Yeah?" She said breathless.

Katherine swallowed, opened her mouth, and said the words she'd been dreading all night. She watched Alivia's face go from happy to confused to angry.

Katherine hated herself. She let Alivia yell. She stopped her from walking away. Katherine attempted to hug her, but Alivia fought back. Eventually she stopped, crying at the fact that she was being sent away by the ones she loved the most.

The bags were almost all packed. Alivia was being sent miles away from here to a town where she could call home for the next few years.

Alivia stood in her house, walking to take in all her memories. By the end of the night, laying in bed all three in the morning Alivia understood completely.

She followed Matt with the last of her stuff and saw the two girls waiting patiently for her. Caroline felt guilty for ever coming up with the idea, but she couldn't back down.

Alivia approached Katherine, kissing her instantly and hugging her tightly. Tears all to ready sprung from her eyes. "I love you so much." Alivia whispered.

"I know. I love you too." Katherine replied, wanting nothing more to stay in this moment. "I'll come get you when the time is right, I promise."

Alivia nodded. "And please, don't hang up on me. If you see someone you like, go for it. Maybe our time isn't now, but a little later down the road." Katheirne said with a sweet smile, wiping her girlfriends tears.

"I'm so sorry for all of this." Alivia said, sniffling and gripping Katherine's arms.

"Don't. It's okay. Just be happy." They kissed once more, Alivia's hands hugging Katherine's cheeks arms nd keeping her as close as possible.

Alivia backed away slowly, turning to Caroline who was already crying. She fell into Caroline's arms, feeling herself start to hyperventilate. Caroling hugged her tighter.

"I've always cared so much about you, Alivia. I know I did all this shit, but I'm so happy you found a way to forgive me." Caroline said.

Alivia smiled. "I love you, Caroline." And a kiss was pressed to the blonde's cheek. In that moment, Caroline's heart was filled. Alivia really meant what she said. And it made Caroline so content with herself.

Alivia took the two girls hands, squeezing them before backing away, holding on until their fingertips brushed away from each other. She hugged Matt tightly, kissing his cheek.

"I love you Matty, stay human for me." Matt laughed, gripping her tighter. It hurt to see his little sister leave, but it was for the best. That all he ever wanted, to do what was right for her.

"I'll see you all soon." Alivia promised when she was inside the cab with the window open.

The three waved, watching the cab drive away with the most important person to them inside.

"See you soon."

This honestly made me feel like ending it here. She ended up with Katheirne after it all, but ended with no one at all. I thought about leaving it here, but I want all my books to have the same amount of chapters. So the last offically chapter will have a time skip. Until you think I should leave it here.

You're decision. Thank you all for the support and love.

Much love, Rhylee
