1.7 - Change In Thought

A few more weeks until Alivia's birthday arrived, and she was feeling different. That night with Katherine had been everything she'd imagined and more, but something was holding her back from changing herself.

Matt hadn't talked to her about it since she brought it up. Caroline had kept her distance as well, thought she had a good reason. Of course Caroline was still in love with Alivia and the fact rhat she'd be a vampire soon was something she didn't know she could handle.

As happy as she was that she'd be in Alivia's life forevrt, it just meant spending the rest of her life living her until someone was worthy enough of her heart as it continued to break everytime Alivia was with Katherine.

Caroline wanted Alivia to stay human as long as possible, seeing as she didn't get the chance of choosing. But it seemed like Alivia didn't understand that. Not until Alivia showed up at Caroline's door again.

"I don't know what to do." Alivia said as soon as the door opened.

Caroline's eyes softened at the distressed girl. She came outside instead and stood with her on her porch. "What is it now?"

Caroline didn't mean to sound rude, but she was getting sort of annoyed with how much Alivia had only been coming to her to talk about her decisions on changing.

Alivia noticed the attitude but chose to ignore it. "The day is getting closer and I'm getting more nervous." Alivia confirms. Caroline refrains from rolling her eyes. She loved her, but now she was getting annoyed.

"Exactly what you said a few weeks ago. What else is new?" Caroline said, no able to avoid from saying so. Alivia felt offended.

"What's up with you?" Alivia asked, crossing her arms. This wasn't how Caroline was. She never was with her.

"What's up? What's up is the fact that you continuously whine about the fact that you're turning into a vampire and not wanting to!" Caroline bursts.

"You say Matt is holding you back, when really it's you. If you wanted to really become a vampire you would've done it right now. You hold it off so that you're a suitable age that do so! You might as well stay human until you really think your ready to become a blood sucking, immortal monster!" Caroline yelled. Alivia blinked, hurt and confused by her words.

"You only come to me for advice and when you need help with your confusing state on become one of us. It's hurts that I'm only benificial to you when it's about something I want no part in. When you decide you want to talk to me about my day and how I am, like a regular human being, come over. Other than that get off my porch." Caroline hissed and rushed into her house.

Alivia didn't fight the tears that came. She was hurt and guilty. She didn't realize how much she'd come to Caroline for this. She didn't realize that she had hurt the vampires feelings.

But she was right. If Alivia really wanted to become a vampire, she would've done it now. Her birthday was only a few weeks away, and she was anxious.

If she really wanted it done, she would do it now.

"Katherine?" Alivia called for her girlfriend.

In a quick swift motion, Alicia was closely approached by the brunette who smirked. "Yes."

Alivia smiled. "We need to talk." Katherine raised an eyebrow as she watched her girlfriend walk into the living room.

"I don't like that tone. What's wrong?" Katherine asked as she strutted into the room.

"It's not a big deal, but...would it be horrible to ask if we could move up to me the date of turning me?" Katherine didn't like this confrontation one bit.

"How close are we talking?" Katherine rested a hand on Alivia's arm.

Alivia was hesitate. "Right now?"

By accident, Katherine's hand squeezed Alivia's arm. Alivia winced accident and Katherine instantly pulled her hand away.

"I don't understand. What changed your mind? Did Matt finally say something?" Katherine asked, her anger slowly building.

In all seriousness, Katherine didn't want to change her. She wanted her human as long as she could. She was hoping to change her mind before her birthday came.

Apparently that wasn't going to happen. Katherine didn't want to fight with Alivia about this. Becoming a vampire wasn't something she wanted. Katherine was forced, only because she'd rather die than lay in the hands of Klaus, not knowing she'd be turned into a vampire.

She wanted Alivia human, but at the same time she wanted her a vampire. But it wasn't Katherine's decision. It was Alivia's.

"I agreed your birthday. I want you human as long as possible. Why move the date up?" Katherine asks.

"Because I'm getting more nervous. I'm scared I'll back out. If I really wanted it I'd do it now." Alivia said, reciting Caroline's words.

"Then don't do it. Do it when you're positive you want to. No setting a date, you tell and I'll do." Katherine said, stretching her arms out to Alivia.

Alivia sighed and fell into Katherine's outstretched arms. They swayed as they hugged tightly. Alivia loved being in Katherine's arms.

"Alright. I can agree to that." Alivia said. "I've got to head to work now, but I'll see you later." Alivia promised, leaning and kissing Katherine's lips.

Katherine put her hand to the back of Alivia's head to hold her there for a minute. A bittersweet moment worth spending time with.

Alivia smiled at Katherine and kissed her once more before heading out the door. Getting into her car, she drove into the square.

Then she drove past the Grill.

She didn't like lying to Katherine, but in her heart she knew Katherine wouldn't turn her if she asked. The look she saw was one of hope. Hope that she'd never ask.

Alivia returned to the house and knocked on the door rapidly. The annoyed blonde came to the door and opened it.

"Alivia I said-"

"Turn me." Alivia said, stopping Caroline.

"What?" Caroline wasn't sure if she heard Alivia correctly.

"Turn me into a vampire."

PLOT TWIST! Got some inspiration from your guys comments. You think Caroline will do it? How will Katherine react to her lying and being turned? It's short. I apologize. 3 more chapters!! BTW do the italics and the middle part bother any of you? It's my way or writing but I'm thinking of changing it
