0.9 - Dates and a Jealous Vampire
Alivia was nervous. She didn't know whether or not to cancel the date or just suck it up and do it.
She didn't want to crush Caroline's heart again after saying yes. She wrapped a flannel around her waist and brought her hair over her shoulders.
"Do I look okay?" She asked Katherine, who looked at the girl worried.
"You look great, I'm just worried. Everything we just talked about is serious. I'm just want you to be safe." Katherine pulled her into her chest.
Alivia sighed. "I know. But I'll be okay. I promise." Alivia kissed Katherine's cheek and went downstairs.
The doorbell rang as she was halfway down the stairs. She opened it and Caroline was on the other side with a small bouquet of flowers.
"Oh, thank you Caroline." Alivia said as she took the flowers and smelt them. She really loved flowers.
She quickly put then in a vase and returned to the door. She closed it and walked with Caroline to her car. Once inside Caroline started the car and began to drive.
Caroline drove out of Mystic Falls, glancing at Alivia as she hummed quietly to the music.
"Thank you for giving me a chance." Caroline said, cautiously taking Alivia's hand. Alivia looked at their hands, feeling a strange warmth that made her smile.
"You're welcome. I felt bad for rejecting you so many times. I thought it was time I actually said yes." The words that fell from Alivia's mouth were true.
Her heat was racing, all the symptoms of a crush rising fast. She never felt them with Caroline, ever. How could she feel them now?
"We're here." Caroline announced, letting go of Alivia's hand and running around to open the door for her.
Alivia muttered a quiet thanks before Caroline took her hand again and lead her over a grassy hill. On the other side sat a sandy beach. The sun was just above the horizon and the wind was cooling.
"This is so beautiful." Alivia whispered.
"I thought so too. Have you ever been to a beach?" Alivia shook her head.
"Never."
"Well what are we waiting for?!" Caroline said before running down the hill with Alivia to the water.
Alivia tripped over the sand, but Caroline kept her upright each time. They splashed each other, attempted to build a sand castle and Alivia even jumped on Caroline's back for payback and getting her almost soaked to the bone.
The sun was halfway from dissappearing when the girls decided to sit and watch the last remaining light if the day leave their sights. Caroline sat close to Alivia, wrapping her arm around her waist as she kept her vision completely on the sunset.
"This was fun. Thank you for this, Caroline." Alivia said, turning to Caroline had smiling.
Caroline looked at Alivia's blue-green eyes, fall deeply in love with them. "Can I--can I kiss you?"
Alivia blushed, but didn't say no. Something changed about her perspective of Caroline. This night made her think twice.
Alivia nodded, pressing her palm to Caroline's cheek as Caroline tilted her head and met Alivia's lips with her own.
It was everything Caroline had dreamt of, but better. Caroline let her finger run through Alivia's hair and made her smile. The blonde vampire pulled away but kept their faces close together.
"That was perfect." Caroline whispered.
Alivia giggled, nodding her head in agreement. She didn't know why, but her mind was fogged and only thought of Caroline.
It had worked. The spell had worked and Caroline's wish had came true.

Katherine paced back and forth in Alivia's bedroom, thinking of what was happening between them.
Then she heard the car pulling up the driveway. She came down the stairs and looked out the window of the door.
Caroline was holding Alivia's hand as they made their way to the door. Katherine's blood boiled and she clenched her fist.
"Calm down Katherine. Nothing happened. Keep it together." She spoke too soon as she watched Caroline lean in and peck Alivia on the lips.
Katherine took the vase filled with flowers and threw it at wall, causing the two girls outside to look at the house. Katherine sped off just as the two came inside the house.
Alivia gasped and picked up the flowers that had been scattered all over the floor. Caroline made sure Alivia stood away as she cleared up all the glass pieces on the floor.
Alivia knew exactly who it was, and couldn't feel more sorry.

The next day Alivia busied herself with work at the Grill. She couldn't get Katherine and Caroline out of her head.
"What's up with you today? You seem off." Matt said to his sister as she rested her chin on her palm.
"Just alot on my mind. Thanks for letting me take a couple days off." Alivia grabbed Matt's hand and gave it a squeeze.
Caroline was coming up from behind Matt, making Alivia let go of his hand and went behind the counter.
"Is Alivia working today?" Caroline asked as she scanned the bar.
"Yeah she just--" Matt stopped talking when Alivia came back from underneath the counter and went around to give Caroline a hug.
"Hi there." She whispered. Caroline smile and rested her chin on Alivia's shoulder.
"How are you?" Caroline asked.
"I'm good." Alivia reassured her.
Katherine watched at the end of the bar, keeping distance between herself and Alivia. She felt that if she didn't she'd tear Caroline apart.
She hadn't heard anything about Caroline and another witch or vampire, but was determine to see what the hell had gotten into Alivia since last night.
