Ruby POV

     I am still desperately looking for Grimlock, I know he can handle himself, but I also know the statistics for lost or kidnapped children. I have been asking around about any leads of a child that matches Grimlock's description, but still find nothing. I force myself to stop and sit on a bench and I can't stop myself from balling my eyes out into my hands, until I hear-

Penny: Salutations, friend!

Ruby: *sniffles and quickly wipe my eyes* Penny? Where are your guards?

Penny: Oh, I might've lost them by a doughnut shop and wanted to see you. But your eyes are red, you look devastated. What's wrong?

Ruby: *sniffle* Sorry, you had to see me *sniffles* like this, but my adopted son, Grimlock, he's missing.

Penny: *worried gasp* Oh no! That's aweful. How long has he been missing?

Ruby: Since yesterday afternoon, after the doubles round.

Penny: Oh no. I wish I could tell you where to find him. Well, I'll help look for him anyway, if you'll have me?

Ruby: But, *sniffles* don't you have the singles match to get to?

Penny: A missing child is way more-

Guard: Penny! There you are.

Penny: Oh, h-hello, officers.

Guard 2: Penny, you know you're not supposed to run away like that.

Penny: I know but-

Guard: Come on, your match is about to begin.

Penny: But there's-

Guard 2: Ironwood's orders.

Ruby: Go, Penny. I'm not gonna get you into trouble because of me.

Before I walk away Penny pulls me into a heartfelt hug, and I can't help letting some tears loose.

Penny: I will help you when my match is done, I promise.

I feel much better knowing Penny will look out for me, like I would her. Penny leaves and I decide to make my way to the arena to look for Grimlock there, for some reason. As Penny's match against Pyrrha get's underway, I am high in the stands looking around for Grimlock, instead I spot something, Mercury's teammate, Emerald in the stands. That's odd, I walk to a matainence hallway to make my way around, but as I walk down the hall, a familiar face appears further down.

Ruby: Mercury?

Port: *outside on PA* Our next duel will be Atlas' Penny Poladina vs Pyrrha Nikos.

Ruby: *thinks and realizes* Oh no.

Mercury: Polarity vs Metal, that could be bad.

Ruby: What are you even doing? You were hurt. *silence* *annoyed* Answer me!

Port: *outside on PA* Ready! Begin!

Mercury: Showtime.

      Mercury goes after me and I don't have my scythe, awesome, I try to dodge as best I can and try to use my Semblance to get around him, but he continously counters everything I do.

Mercury: Wow, even that stupid kid of yours put up a better fight than you.

Ruby: *slight gasp* I-It was you. And Emerald and Cinder all of this happened because of you. *angered* Where is my Grimlock?

Mercury: I wouldn't worry about him right now. After all, he's nothing to you.

Ruby: You're wrong, he's my EVERYTHING!

     I use my Semblance one more time and manage to get past Mercury and rush back to the door to the stadium, I look out at the field and see I was too late, Penny had been torn to pieces, literally, by her own weapons.

3rd Person POV

Oobleck: *talks into earpiece* Broadcast, what are you doing? Kill the feed.

Broadcast: We can't sir, we have no control. We can't even turn it off.

Oobleck: That's impossible.

????: *over PA across Beacon* This is not a tragedy. This was not accident. This is what happens when you hand your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be your gaurdians....

    Everyone watches and listens in fear and horror as the monolouge continues, Ozpin is already making his way down to the basement to prepare the Fall Maiden's chambers, and Ironwood is already moving soldiers to defensive positions. However, the Grimm are way ahead of them and invade the city of Vale, while the fliers go to Beacon and Amity Stadium. The Grimm alarms sound, declaring a level 9 threat, causing the people inside the stadium to panic and run for their lives. Pyrrha drops to her knees in the middle of the stadium, still petrified about what she did to Penny, when a giant Nevermore starts attacking the roof of the stadium. Meanwhile, Neo has freed Roman Torchwick from his prison cell on an Atlas Airship and turns it's guns onto the other airships.

Roman: Whoo hoo! It is good to be back.

At the airfield of Beacon three Vale bullheads appear and land, the hatch opens to reveal Adam Taurus and the White Fang.

Adam: Bring them to their knees.

While the remaining bullheads release Grimm into Beacon itself. Yang and Slag watch from their dorm window.

Slag: How did this happen?

Yang: I don't know, but right now we need to get down there and help defend Beacon. Come on.

Slag: Right behind you.

Blake and Weiss are with their children at the festival grounds where Grimm are already invading.

Weiss: I can't believe this is happening.

Snarl: Look out!

      Snarl moves between his mother and a Ursa, he stops the Ursa with his bare hands, while Swoop managed to fire a gun he found at the Grimm's weak spot.

Blake: Yang are you alright?

Yang: *through scroll* Yeah, we're okay. Is Ruby with you, she's not answering her scroll.

Blake: No, I'm sure she's fine, she's our leader after all, she can handle herself.

Yang: *through scroll* Right. I'm headed to the courtyard, the White Fang are releasing Grimm into Beacon.

Blake: The White Fang are here?!

Yang: *Grimm and Slag roar through scroll* Gotta go, stay safe.

Blake: Yang!

Weiss: What do we do?

Blake: We go to the docks and do our job. *calls her locker*

Weiss understands and calls her locker as well, both girls grab their weapons and turn to their kids.

Blake: We need to hold off the Grimm for as long as we can until evacuations are completed. Will you help us?

Sludge: Yeah!

Snarl: Thought you'd never ask.

Swoop: Let's take down some Grimm.

     All three kids transform and start clearing a path through the Grimm horde and make their way to the docks at Beacon. Yang amd Slag continue fighting their way to the docks as well. Ruby however is still petrified over the loss of Penny and that Grimlock was kidnapped by people she considered friends as well. The Nevermore breaks through the protective barrier and lands hard in front of Pyrrha sending her flying backwards, but just as the Nevermore is about to attack, Ruby has grabbed Penny's sword and used her Semblance to hit the Grimm square in the chest, Ruby lands in between Pyrrha and the Grimm.

Ruby: Leave her alone!

     The Nevermore takes flight and circles around the stadium and charges for Ruby until a bunch of locker slam into the Grimm, seemingly killing it on contact. The lockers open up to reveal all sorts of student weapons, their owners climb the corpse of the Grimm and equip their weapons, everyone from Vale, Mistral, Vacuo and Atlas, all ready to fight for what's right.

(A/N): Here we go, the Battle for Beacon has Begun.
