3rd Person POV

Qrow told everyone that he received a message from Lionheart, headmaster of Haven Academy, that he had gotten enough huntsmen to help raid Raven's bandit camps to grab the Spring Maiden. However, the Dinokids are being told-

Slag: Mom, you've got to be kidding?!

Slash: Please don't leave me here without you, Mommy?

Sludge: Families stick together.

Weiss: I am sorry, but raiding a bandit camp is way too dangerous for kids your age.

Pyrrha: Even with your fantastic abilities, you require more training and discipline.

Slam: *questioning grunt*

Nora: It still means no, sweety.

Slam: *pouts*

Yang: We would love nothing more than to take you along, but we can't afford risking losing you again. These guys are not like the bad guys you watch on TV, these bandits will kill you if they get the chance.

Slag: We are Dinobots! We wouldn't give them the chance!

Yang: Our decision stands, young man.

Slag: *groans in frustration*

Slash runs up to Pyrrha and hugs her leg on the verge of tears.

Pyrrha: *kneels down* It's okay, Slash. Mommy won't be gone long. We will come back, I promise.

Jaune: Yeah, you've got nothing to worry about, kiddo.

The parents hug their kids goodbye one more time and follow Qrow to Haven Academy. As the group makes it to the door of Haven Tower, Qrow looks around suspiciously but follows the rest inside. When the group walks in and Lionheart is there to greet them.

Lionheart: Welcome, there seems to be more of you than last time.

Qrow: Well, you know what they say, the more the merrier. So, what's going on with the council?

Lionheart: Why do you have your weapons?

Qrow: Leo, we're huntsmen. Are you okay?

Lionheart: Yes, of course, just haven't had my evening coffee.

As the two adults talk, Yang notices a bird with red eyes watching from the balcony to the groups right, and recognizes it.

Yang: Mom?

Qrow looks and shoots at the bird, but misses as the bird flies behind Lionheart and transforms into Raven adorning her helmet. Everyone glares at her.

Ruby: Raven....

Nora: They.... They really are magic....

Raven: *takes off helmet* If your going to shoot me, shoot me. That was insulting.

Qrow: What are you doing here?

Raven: I could ask you the same thing. You've been scheming little brother. Planning to attack your own sister.

Qrow: Leo, what have you done?

Raven: He did what any sane person would do. He looked at all the information he had, assessed the situation, and made a choice. It seems you all have too.

Qrow: You have the Spring Maiden.

Raven: I do.

Qrow: Then hand her over, together we can beat Salem.

Raven: All those times spying for Ozpin and you still have no idea what you're dealing with. There is no beating Salem.

Ruby: You're wrong. We've done lots of things that most people would call impossible, and I know the only reason we did it was because we didn't do it alone! We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we work together, please.

Ruby holds out her hand, Raven simply glares at it.

Raven: *scornfully* You sound, just like your mother.

Raven then quickly uses her sword and opens a portal and a fireball suddenly flies through and hits Ruby, sending her skidding across the ground.

Yang: Ruby!

Yang runs to Ruby's side as Cinder, Mercury, Emerald and Vernal walk through the portal.

Cinder: Hello, boys and girls.

Ruby: Cinder...

The two groups stand ready for a fight.

Mercury: Come on, is that any way to treat your old friends?

Yang starts forward but is stopped by Qrow.

Qrow: Everyone, stay calm.

Suddenly, the doors behind the students is heard opening and closing.

Hazel: The White Fang is prepping demolition, and sealing off Haven. No one is getting in and no one is getting out.

Weiss: This, was all a trap.

Ren: It would appear so.

Qrow: Tell me, Raven. How long have you been with them?

Cinder: *mockingly* Aww, don't take it personally, little bird. Your sister was only a recent addition. The lion on the other hand... getting into the Vytal Festival was a real treat. Lionheart has been sending Salem information for years. Haven't you?

Lionheart: Stop it.

Pyrrha: No wonder, younger students were being given temporary licenses.

Qrow: It was you. I searched all over for huntsmen and huntresses.

Lionheart: I-

Qrow: I couldn't find any of them, because you let her kill them.

Cinder: Don't take it personally Lionheart. I'm sure Tyrian and Hazel would've found them eventually.

Jaune: What is wrong with you... *seething* How can you be so broken inside... to take so many lives. Then come here and rub it in our faces like it's something to be proud of?!

Pyrrha: Jaune?

Jaune: *enraged* All with that damn smile on your face!

The students ready their weapons.

Qrow: Everyone stay calm!

Suddenly, a roar is heard from outside.

Ruby: *recognizes roar* No. It couldn't be?

Cinder: Well, it seems dear Grimlock has jumped the gun again. Oh well.

Ruby: Grimlock is here?

Cinder: Oh yes, with a little reconditioning he now serves Salem without question, and at this moment he is going to destroy what remains of the Dinobots.

Weiss: *horrified* No.

Yang: *growls*

Jaune loses it and attacks Cinder by combining his shield and sword into it's two-handed form. All hell breaks loose from there. Emerald keeps Ruby occupied, Mercury rematches with Yang, Vernal is instructed to take down Weiss, Raven and Qrow clash blades, Nora and Ren take on Hazel, while Pyrrha helps Jaune with Cinder.

Meanwhile, back at the house the kids were stuck in, Slash was waiting at the front door sitting on the floor while the boys were hanging out in the living room being bored. Suddenly, Slag feels the ground vibrating and stands, the others took interest, Swoop looks at a mug of coffee on the table in the living room and see the liquid ripple as the sound of heavy footfalls is heard.

Slam: *sniffs* *alarming grunt*

Too late, Grimlock's Dinobot mode smashes through the roof and tries to bite at the kids.

Slag: Outside! Now!

The kids run outside and look at Grimlock searching through the house.

Swoop: How did he find us?

Slag: I don't know.

Swoop: Why did big brother attack us?

Slag: I don't know.

Slash: What do we do?

Slag: I don't know anything alright!

Sludge walks towards his big brother and calls him out.

Sludge: Grimlock!

Grimlock lifts his head from the roof of the house and stares down Sludge.

Sludge: It us, your family!

Grimlock simply breathes a stream of fire and hits Sludge, and while Sludge tanked the hit well, Slag ran in and picked him up.

Slag: He clearly has a difference of opinion! Run!

All the kids run down the street with Grimlock in pursuit.

Back in the Tower, Weiss is struggling to fight off Vernal and summon her Arma Gigas, Jaune was knocked down by Cinder but Pyrrha was there to distract her with her Semblance crashing several steel beams from the floor and trap Cinder. Ruby wanted to help but Emerald was keeping her at bay.

Ruby: Why are you doing this, Salem only wants-

Emerald: I don't care about Salem, but I owe Cinder everything.

Yang is also struggling against Mercury, who is playing with her at this point. Nora and Ren are not having any success taking down Hazel either. Weiss backs away from Vernal and creates a large ice wall, while she again attempts to create her Arma Gigas Summon. But as the summon starts to appear, a beam cuts through the wall and destroys the summon, Vernal appears on the remnants of the wall and catches her weapon.

Vernal: You didn't think I'd let you take the easy way out?

Cinder: You two really think you can beat me?!

Pyrrha: Yeah, we can.

Pyrrha and Cinder exchange sword clashes, when Pyrrha side steps and Jaune slashes right with Cinder barely managing to dodge. Cinder responded by blast Pyrrha with a fireball sending Pyrrha across the ground, Cinder then easily deflects Jaune's next strike and knock him onto his back. Cinder walks to Jaune and puts a foot on his chest.

Cinder: You're still the loser with a death wish. You are nothing.

Jaune: That doesn't matter, so long as my friend live I don't care about what happens to me.

Cinder: *looks at Weiss* Are you sure about that?

Cinder watches as Weiss' Aura breaks as she is hit again by Vernal, Cinder creates a spear of fire.

Jaune: No. *Cinder throws spear* NOOOOOOO!

Cinder's spear impales Weiss through her abdomen. She gasps in shock as everyone in the room stop their fighting and stare in shock as well. The spear disintegrates as Weiss goes motionless and slumps to the ground.
