Grimlock POV

Morning comes and Grimlock and the Dinokids join our families for a proper breakfast.

Ruby: Here we go, Grimlock. One whole smoked ham just for you.

Grimlock: *smacks lips and digs in* *mouth full* Thanks!

Ruby: *chuckles* Careful, you may choke. Slow down.

All the other Dinokids are fed before the adults eat their fill. Mom then takes us to a lab of some sort.

Slag: What's this?

Pietro: This is my lab.

Penny: Team RWBY, JNPR, Dinobots, this is my father Pietro. He's the one that built me.

Weiss: Very impressive, Mr. Pietro.

Pietro: Ah, you're too kind. Now, onto buisness. General Ironwood has told me your gear requires upgrades. So, let's get to work, shall we?

Ruby: Oh Yeah!

All the adults are given upgrades to their weapons based on videos taken during the Vytal Tournament. Auntie Blake had her sword fixed and reinforced to ensure that it would never break again. Everyone even got new outfits and combat gear, Grimlock wearing red long-sleeved shirt with tan combat vest, grey pants with black boots, also wear gray armored combat gloves and metal armor on lower legs.

Ruby: Okay, Grim, the adults have a mission to do. We need you to stay in Atlas until we return, then we can do whatever you guys like.

Sludge: Aww, can't we go with, Mommy? *attempts puppy eyes*

Nora: *laughs* Oh my gosh! That's adorable!

Blake: *laughs* As cute and capable as you are, we are going to a abandoned dust mine which means the slightest movement may cause the entire thing blow up.

Slash: Uh, yeah, that might be bad.

Ruby: But, if we need you for any reason, I'll be the first to call. Deal?

Dinokids: Deal.

Weiss: *smitten* Aw, you are all so handsome in your new outfits.

The adults take off with Qrow and the Ace-Ops in an airship.

Snarl: What now, guys?

Slam: *series of grunts*

Slash: Videogame Tournament! Last one standing wins!

Grimlock: Me Grimlock got better idea. Come on.

Slag: Oh, I know that look. This is gonna be fun.

Sludge: Sure is!

The Dinokids go down to the Autobot base, Grimlock approaches Ratchet in robot mode.

Grimlock: Doc.

Ratchet: *sighs in annoyance* Will everyone please stop calling me that! What do you want?!

Grimlock: Why Energon supply low?

Ratchet: Well, it's because the Decepticons control almost all of this world's Energon deposits.

Grimlock: Why not just raid one of their mines?

Ratchet: As I've stated many times before, we are vastly outnumbered. We'd lose more than we'd gain.

Grimlock: Could it be done, say by Dinobots?

Ratchet seems to finally understand what Grimlock implying and brings up a map with various points of interest on it.

Ratchet: These are the Decepticon mines we know about that are still active or nearing completion.

Grimlock: Easy target?

Ratchet scrolls through each location and eventually finds one.

Ratchet: I'd recommend this one, it just finished mining so all the mining equipment is gone and the only Decepticons there, are drones for security until pick up.

Grimlock: Set Ground-Bridge cooridnates a bit aways from them. Dinobots, we need to destroy the 'Cons and take the Energon, so hit hard and fast.

Ratchet: Remember, Energon doesn't mix with blasters or fire very well. Good luck.

Ratchet opens Ground-bridge, Dinobots transform into Dino-modes except Grimlock and we go through. We come out other side and since it was our first Ground-bridge, some of us were not used to it.

Sludge: Ohh... *dizzy*

Slam: *holds back barf*

Slash: That'll take some getting used to.

Everyone recovered and we move towards the mine.

Grimlock: Swoop, keep an eye out for reinforcments.

Swoop: Yup. *flies into the sky*

Grimlock: Dinobots Attack!

Dinobots charge in with Slag and Grimlock in front, the 'Cons see us and start shooting at us Slag tanks the shots and smashes right through their ranks, Grimlock activate sword and tackle three 'Cons, then pick one up stab it with sword and throw it into two more. Grimlock turn around and see the remaining Decepticons are destroyed.

Grimlock: *uses comm link in audio receptor* Doc Bot!

Ratchet: *over comms* What did I just say, don't call me that!

Grimlock: DOC BOT!

Ratchet: What?!

Grimlock: Energon secured, send Ground-bridge for pick up.

Ratchet: *surprised* Coming up.

Grimlock: Dinobots grab what you can carry.

Which was every single Energon cube that was there. There were even carts of Energon crystals that we took. The Ground-bridge opens and Dinobots bring Energon back to base. When we do, some of the Autobots are back at base and are surprised by our haul.

Arcee: Where did you guys get all that Energon?

Sludge: Dinobots raid 'Con mine and take them.

Ratchet: This is an impressive start.

Slag: Yeah, but I was hoping for more of a challenge.

Grimlock: Soon enough, Slag. Where to next Doc?

Ratchet: *sighs at nickname* Let's see-

*monitor beeps*

Ruby: Ratchet!

Ratchet: Ms. Ruby?

Ruby: Is Grimlock or any of the Dinobots with you?

Grimlock: We here, Mom.

Ruby: We could use a Dinobot or two.

Grimlock: Hmm, Swoop, Snarl go. Doc, open Ground-Bridge to location.

Swoop: You've got it, Boss.

Snarl: Alright, let's kick some tailpipe!

Ratchet: Right away.

Arcee: *approaches and whispers to Ratchet* You really let Grimlock tell you what to do?

Ratchet: *whispers* Do you want to argue with him?

Ratchet opens the Ground-bridgeand sends Snarl and Swoop through, he then starts looking for another Energon mine for Dinobots to raid.

Ratchet: Okay, I've found two likely targets, one has higher chance of success but the other has a higher reward.

Arcee: Pick your poison.

3rd Person POV

Meanwhile, Teams RWBY and JNPR are in the airship approaching the mine they need to clear.

Clover: Okay according to our intel, there's a Gheist Grimm inhabiting the mine. Everytime we've tried to take it down it retreats into the abandoned dust mine. Our job is to find it and destroy it. Keep in mind there are still untapped dust crystals in there so watch your fire, or you might cause a cave in.

Harriet: There's a lot of Grimm out front. We won't be getting in there without a fight.

Marrow: But the second we move, the Gheist will flee into the mine.

Ruby: Hmm, I have an idea. Hold position.

Ruby called Ratchet to send some backup to the mine. Suddenly a Ground-bridge opens on the ground at the mine and Snarl and Swoop jump through in their robot modes.

Ruby: Haha, the Dinobots never disappoint.

Swoop flies up to the airship and asks.

Swoop: Where do you need us?!

Ruby: We need you and Snarl to clear a path on the ground while we invade the mine!

Swoop nods and goes back down and starts shooting at the fliers, Snarl transforms into his Dinobot mode and swings his spiked tail taking out Grimm afrer Grimm with ease.

Ruby: *looks through scope* I see the Gheist. It's fleeing into the mine.

Clover: Alright, we split into teams and take as many entrances as we can.

Meanwhile, in another location Grimlock and the remaining Dinobots decided to take the riskier mine and are making great headway. Slash takes out any computer monitors so no reinforcements are called, Slag charges around up top taking out a dozen sentries, Grimlock, Sludge and Slam reach the Energon reserves chamber and surround to protect it. Slash then uses her speed to take out the 'Cons further away. Finally though, the 'Cons are defeated, everyone looks around to be sure before Grimlock calls for pick-up. The Ground-bridge opens up and the Dinobots start systematically moving the Energon through the portal. This time Ultra Magnus is there to greet the group, uh-oh.

Ultra Magnus: Where have you been, soldiers?

Grimlock: Saving your tailpipes by raiding Decepticon mines to grab Energon.

Ultra Magnus: I don't remember authorizing such a dangerous plan.

Grimlock: In case you forgot, *leans close* Dinobots don't take orders from you. *growls*

Ultra Magnus: As Optimus Prime's Second-in-Command, I do have operational authority over you wild animals-

Slam suddenly punched Ultra Magnus in the chest sending him slammed into the wall, but Slash and Sludge hold him back from doing more.

Slam: *series of angry grunts*

Grimlock: Enough! Dinobots follow my orders only and I follow no one!

The Dinobots finish hauling the rest of the Energon before returning to their dorms in human form.

Back at the dust mine, Team RWBY, JNPR and the Ace-Ops have defeated the Gheist and have made it to the entrance.

Nora: Yeah! That was awesome!

Ruby: Yeah it was!

Ren: *looks up* Look out!

An Alpha Ursa is seen charging the group, but is immediately smacked away by Snarl's spiked tail.

Snarl: *Roars*

Harriet: Whew. That was close.

Weiss: Great job, Snarl!

Weiss approaches as Swoop landed and transformed into his kid form.

Weiss: Thank you both so much

Swoop: *hugs Weiss* We've always got your back, Mommy.

Snarl simply nuzzles Weiss with his giant metal snout, she then plants a kiss on both of them and praising them for their hard work. Clover and the Ace-Ops approach Ironwood as he and the convoy of supplies and Amity Colusieum arrive. Ruby then gets a great idea.

Ruby: What do you guys want to do when we get back to Atlas? Sightseeing? *gasp* What should we see first?

Blake: *yawns* How about our beds? *walks away*

Ruby: Oh, come on, guys! This is a great time to go exploring. We haven't done that in so long.

Weiss: Ruby, we explored an entire continent, on foot, before flying to this one.

Ruby: Yeah, but... those were only the boring parts. What about you kids?

Snarl: *yawns* Sorry Auntie.

Swoop: But Mommy's got a point, we haven't stopped moving since Haven.

Snarl: Plus Grimlock had all the Dinobots raid an Decepticon mining op before we got here. We're pretty wiped.

Yang: Plus, we almost died a couple of times.

Ruby: Ppt.

Ruby waves her hands at Yang and chuckles awkwardly, the sighs after Yang walks away.

Qrow: Heads up. *points to Ironwood*

Ironwood: Can I get the Team leaders here? There's something I'd like to discuss with you. You too, Qrow.

Ruby, Jaune and Qrow walk over as Weiss yells in the background.

Weiss: Wait, you two did what before you came here?!

Ruby chuckles at Weiss' over reaction before she reaches Ironwood.

Qrow: New problems in Mantle?

Ironwood: More of the same, unfortunately.

Ironwood pulls out his scroll and shows a mugshot of someone from Mantle.

Jaune: Who's that?

Ironwood: A civilian from Mantle named Forest, no last name on file, he was arrested for throwing a brick at one of my ships. We held him for a day then let him go, then he ends up like this.

Ruby: He's dead?

Qrow: Your opposition in Mantle dropping dead isn't exactly a good look for you, James.

Ironwood: *puts away scroll* Not really worried about me right now, but it is causing unrest. I believe someone may be trying to frame me and, by extension, Atlas. And it's working.

Jaune: Well, if it wasn't for the embargo making everyone so mad, people may not be so quick to blame you.

Ironwood frowns at this comment, Jaune then realizes and embarrassingly rubs the back of his head.

Jaune: S-sir.

Ironwood: No, no, you're right. Things in Mantle have been... difficult to manage, lately. I'm not blind to it's issues. In fact it's what I want to talk to you about. With the launch of the Tower and the tensions down in Mantle, I believe there's a lot of good your teams can do here.-

Ironwood's earpiece beeps and he listens in.

Ironwood: *surprised* What? Already? Here? No, it's fine. Let him land. I'll deal with him myself.

Qrow: More Mantle problems?

Ironwood: *as ship approaches* No, this one is an Atlas one.

Weiss and the others approach as the ship lands and she shudders at seeing her family seal on the ship.

Snarl: *transforms in child* Mom?

Weiss: It's my father.

Indeed, the ship opens up and Jacques Schnee marches off towards Ironwood. Weiss' hands shake a little until both Snarl and Swoop hold her hands.

Jacques: So let me get this straight, James. In addition to this nonsensical embargo of yours crippling my buisness, you've also decided you have the authority to comandeer private property?

Ironwood keeps his calm composure with his arms folded behind his back as Jacques stops in front of him, Snarl however is getting angry, while Swoop is a little intimidated.

Jacques: When the Council hears about this you will never- *aggressively points at Ironwood*

Ironwood: Actually, I've already informed them. Since this is now the site of a classified military operation, it didn't even require a vote.

Jacques: Didn't require a vote?!

Ironwood: You might want to brush up on Council Law before you lose the upcoming election, Jacques. Now, I've allowed you to land here once, as a courtesy. The next time won't be a friendly reception.

Jacques: *glares* You seem to forget who your friends really are. I'm going to get that council seat, James, then maybe you'll- *sees Weiss* You...

Jacques approaches, Snarl tries to get in front but Weiss gently pulls both him and Swoop behind her, to protect them from her father.

Jacques: You roped my missing daughter into these schemes of yours, too? *turns back to Ironwood* How long has she been back? Does Winter know about this?

Weiss: *annoyed* It was my decision to come here. Just like it was my decision to leave and find my children on my own. Or have you forgotten all about that?

Jacques: If you think I'm one to forget anything, girl, then you've misjudged the man your father is.

Weiss: *with attitude* Believe me, I know exactly the kind of man you are.

Jacques: *angrily* How dare you speak to me that way?! I have half a mind to-

Snarl can't take it anymore and transforms into his Dinobot mode and roars at Jacques before swinging his tail towards Jacques, but Weiss manages to use a white glyph to block Snarl's attack.

Weiss: Snarl Schnee! That's enough!

Snarl: *Roars*

Weiss: Snarl!

Snarl calms down enough and looks at Weiss.

Weiss: This is not how we deal with problems like this. Calm down and transform back, please.

Snarl snorts but complies with Weiss' request, Weiss then turned back to her father, who was still a little freaked out by what just happened.

Weiss: Next time you might not be so lucky. I have my real family to look after me and I them.

Jacques, however, surprisingly recomposes himself and tries to act sad at his next statement.

Jacques: Your mother was devestated you left.

For some reason, this started to make Weiss sad.

Jacques: She didn't leave her room for days. You know how.... she gets... when she's upset.

By this point, Ruby also gained a saddened look, Blake and Yang grew glares, Blake's was more intense though, and Snarl was again being held back by Swoop, Weiss only looked down in sadness. Seemingly having what he wants from her, Jacques turns back to Ironwood.

Jacques: I knew you'd overextend your reach. I didn't come here for the loss of an abandoned mine. I wanted to thank you....

Weiss then notices her teammates and children surround her, Blake holds her hand and nods.

Jacques: ....for personally handing me the noose to hang you.

Blake and Yang regain their glares towards Jacques, while Ruby smiles at Weiss.

Jacques: You'll regret this.

Jacques starts walking away but turns back and looks at Weiss' friends and family.

Jacques: So, these are the friends, and monster children, you threw everything away for?

Weiss: *shakes head* Not friends.

Ruby frowned a little.

Weiss: Family.

But the smile returned as Weiss said this, Yang then smirks. Jacques walks back onto his ship and takes off, Weiss then dropped her strong and confidant facade in heavy exhale, she then turns around and eagerly pulls her two children into a much needed hug.

Snarl: Sorry, Mom.

Weiss: You were trying to protect me, and I will never fault you for that, but Schnee's are not petty, we must hold ourselves to higher standard, if that means not reacting with violence, then so be it. He's not worth the trouble anyway.

After some more talking, Ironwood asks everyone to meet in Amity Coliseum where Teams RWBY and JNPR are granted their full Huntsman's License.

Ironwood: We have a lot of work to do, I need as many able body Huntsman and Huntresses as I can and after the Fall of Beacon, the Battle at Haven and now the Battle at Darkmount, you all have more than earned this.

After some partying, Ruby and the other adults return to the Autobot base where the rest of the Dinobots are waiting and Sludge is the first to jump up at the sight of-

Sludge: Momma!

Sludge tackles Blake to the ground in a big hug, Slash wasn't far behind and hugged Pyrrha and Jaune at once. Everyone else, except Slag came up and greeted their parents, much to Yang's dismay. The humans come to find out that the Dinobots have been busy too, as they raided two more Energon mines and amassed quite a stockpile.

Pyrrha: How did they get roped into this adventure.

Bulkhead: It was all Grimlock's idea.

Ratchet: While he didn't do it on anyone's command or authorization, we are fortunate the Dinobots did this.

Ultra Magnus: However, they still require further discipline and respect for the Chain of Command.

Slusge: Strongest leads Dinobots, and Grimlock strongest there is!

Ruby: It's okay, Sir. They have trouble with people they don't fully trust, just do right by them and things may start to improve. *kneels down to Grimlock* But if you want them to trust you, you'll need to start trusting them a bit too. They have been fighting this war a lot longer than any of us have been alive.

Grimlock: *huffs* Whatever.

Alright, our Dinobots still have some teamwork kinks to work out but I'm things will smooth over soon. Teams RWBY and JNPR are now officially licensed Huntsman and Huntresses. Let's see what happens from here.
